Oh My God! I think I have found my new favorite place for crustaceans! If you happen to find yourself in Beaumont, with a definite appetite, then the Rock'n Crab will not disappoint. In fact, my wife wants to have her birthday there, and we think it is a perfect spot to meet up with the Louisiana relatives, being about halfway between Houston and Lake Charles. For an appetizer, we kept it easy with half a dozen buffalo wings--phenomenal flavor, very meaty with a nice crisp on the outside. As for the entree, I had been promising my wife a good crab boil, so we went all out and ordered the Perfect Boil. It is a pound of each protein which includes King Crab, Snow Crab, Shrimp (head on), Shrimp (head off), and Crawfish. The platter also came with generous portions of corn, potato, sausage & hard boiled eggs). My wife asked for medium heat, but it could have been spicier at least for my tastes, so a suggest going for the spicy heat level or above. There are five different boil flavors: cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, cajun dry, and rock'n mix. We went with the latter as the waiter stated it was a combo of the first three--it was absolutely delicious! I added a Blue Moon draft which came cold and crisp in a 22 oz mug, while my wife got a bloody mary (she sent it back, but she is a bloody mary connoisseur). As far as the ambience, the music, although not live, is a perfect blend of country and southern rock, at just the right volume (you all know that is one of my pet peeves when you can't hear your dining companions). Let me start it off that our server was amazing! She ensure we were great throughout our visit. Music was great the whole time to include our drinks. The restaurant is very unique and interesting on how everyone writes on the wall; makes it more connected to their community. The boudin balls were delicious and the calamari as well. "The catch" is definitely worth getting, the Rock n' Mix sauce is a must. The rice in the Rock'n Pack was delicious to include the sauce it comes with. Food was good service was good but the hostess staff and manager Laykin need some customer service training. Nothing but attitudes from the girl when asking them questions In a calm manner. They quoted us 45-1 hour which was fine but after the hour the first girl still wanted to tell us another 30 min but then called Laykin who sat us at a table that had been empty all night while we where there. How do i know ? i kept buying beers at bar and saw it he empty table. Alan the server was great. Thanks for that. But hostess were horrible i was in restaurant business for 10 years so i know how it runs. You don't sit all your tables with 4 tops because eventually those would have been enough for us if you didn't seat them. SMH. read more

The food was well seasoned. We got the Seafood platter and it was fried to perfection. Fish was crispy but not over cooked. I didn't care for the stuffed shrimp but everyone loved it. I didn't like the sweetness in the stuffing. However, the stuffed crab cake was delish and had the same filling but not as sweet. We also had the rock's pack which was hands down the best item on the menu. That house fried rice... amazing. The sauce that comes with it, icing on top. The complimentary bread was really good as well. Wait staff were friendly and fast. It's not overly loud. Very comfortable and u can have a conversation with the table without having to scream or be disturbed by other table conversations. read more

I come here allllllllllll the time literally . SO GOOD. I always get the catch , sometimes I get the perfect boil but we never finish it lol. I get Cajun flavor and extra spicy this is my favorite !!! Servers and host both nice and greet you politely . Always a daily deal on certain drinks and I think it was called like a cactus or a Cajun something it was a green drink and it was sooooooooo good . Only things that I could say are the stuffed bread they bring out is usually cold and sometimes I get it at the same time as my seafood but it doesn't really bother me too much . Also the dungeons crab , don't expect to get a big huge crab . They are very small compared to the other ones I've gotten at other places but the snow crab + long crab + shrimp , corn , eggs , sausage , crawfish are always delicious . Very personalized interior you can write on the wall so that's cool. But I'm just here for the seafood and they always deliver pleasantly . read more

Staff was rude and the food was not good. Imitation crab smothered with cheese. Not worth the gas, time or money.

My wife and I always get the shrimp and crab legs. Hot and spicy. They won't disappoint you. Service is great. You may wait a bit but it's worth it if you like seafood with flavor. read more
