I saw this ad advertised on the side of the road as I was coming back from Louisiana and I was really excited to try it! As I arrived, I saw a lady leaving with her food leftovers and so I had to ask if it was good? She said oh it's great and the service is so good too! Well, she wasn't lying. We had Nisha as our waitress and she was training somebody and I'm sorry I don't remember that girl's name but Nisha was amazing so sweet honestly awesome she gave us some boudin balls and fried green tomatoes. Drove out there today, and omg, was it worth the hour drive. Yes!!!! The food was so good from the appetizers to the main dish everything was so good. The drinks were just as good as the food. Everything in the place was awesome, the catfish isn't fishy tasting and just tastes phenomenal the shrimp is great, and the sauces are very well made. We got served by Joosh (Josh) and the guy was awesome, brought us as much shrimp as we could handle on the all you can eat and there were no massive delays between platters. Boudin balls were soft and moist lots of flavor. Crawfish was seasoned nicely not a lot of salt more flavor. So. Walked, seated on patio and forgot about. After 10 minutes, my wife flags down staff. (I would have left , but wifey was chilling by the fire). Ordered. An eclectic restaurant chain that offers a large outside dining area with a Cajun decorative theme and yard games like cornhole to play. A stage for bands, an outdoor cat and just a relaxing vibe. The menu has a good selection of Cajun seafood items. We have now been on three separate occasions and enjoyed each one very much. The only shortfall that we have experienced is that it seemed to take an extraordinary amount of time to get our main entrees out of the kitchen and the place was not really all that busy. Try the Sabine Sampler Platter with fried pickles, mushrooms, fish and boudin balls. It starts the meal off right. We have tried multiple items on the menu and all have been good. Not sure you can go wrong. Desserts are tasty too and the group especially liked the bread pudding with praline sauce. Ask for extra. Staff is friendly and the music was good. HORRIBLE. This review is so long over due. This has been me and my husbands go to date night spot because the crawfish is amazing and the patio is nice HOWEVER service is always horrible. This last time my husband finally said we would not be back. We gave them 4 tries thinking maybe it was just the waitress but they are all horrible. Idk if they are understaffed or what but we waited almost 15 min just to order drinks then another 15 to get the drinks. Ridiculous. Place could be awesome but management clearly needs to hire help. Pretty good crawfish! I haven't been to this building, since it was Starvin Marvin's. We came around 6 pm on a Saturday night and this place was PACKED. We were there for about 2 hours and the place was even more packed when we left. They had live music playing in their outdoor seating area. This place is pretty cool - they offer Ziegenbock beer for only $2. They had good crawfish deals - 3 pounds of crawfish with potatoes for $23.99 and 5 pounds with potatoes for $39.99. When we first walked in, there were 9 parties ahead of us. We sat at the bar to wait, and if you're by yourself, I definitely recommend just sitting there so you don't have to wait. We ended up eating at the bar since our table wasn't called until an hour later and we were already there. Our bartender was awesome - super efficient and with great ability to multitask. I'm not sure if this place accepts reservations, I doubt it, but there should be some type of system to better orchestrate how the flow runs - the amount of people both inside and outside waiting was insane, could not wait to leave! Also, just to be on the look out - the parking lot is very narrow and with Beaumont being in SE Texas, a good majority of the vehicles are jacked up trucks. read more

First time at this restaurant and a not so good first impression. The staff is very nice but they seemed a little disorganized and confused with who they were waiting on. Maybe a little understaffed for a Sunday since a lot of Crawfish restaurants aren't open on Sunday and they're getting the business? We were seated and waited about 15 min for our "server" to greet us at the table. He said, "has anyone talked to y'all yet?" And he began helping us. Very nice guy! Mind you, we could see where the waiters were congregating by the outdoor like kitchen in the back of the yard - most of them glancing over but no one making an effort to see if we had been helped. The boudin balls were nicely seasoned - the main meals were pretty good but the seasoning on the boiled crawfish was very bland. We sat on the patio (our choice) and were seated kind of away from the crowd(not a bad thing)and a light went out so we ended up eating in the dark because no one could help with the light. The girls at the front taking list of names to be seated said 45-60 minutes. Saw several people leave upon hearing wait time, others left after name got on list but never seated. I saw several tables outside that were open, but girls up front said they weren't seating anybody yet because they were short on staff. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, I'd had enough and left. Here is how this visit went: Arrived and plenty of open tables available but told wait is 30-40 minutes due to being understaffed. Finally seated, table dirty and salt & pepper shakers are crusty with grime. I order the top shelf margarita, waited 20 minutes to get a drink- no water offered. send it back due to tasting like a $3 well pre-mix. Ask for a beer instead. Another 15 minutes and finally get my beer. They tried to charge me for the $10 margarita and not for the beer. I pointed it out and and clearly said this XXs is clearly not a $10 bottle of beer. Waiter acknowledged that's what they did until I pointed out cost difference. Food- the tastes are almost there. Poor execution. Rice in gumbo was not cooked properly- still had a crunch to it. The gumbo itself was the best thing about the visit. I also had the pecan crusted catfish. The fish was great. The lemon butter sauce was so salty and lemon-y that it literally ruined the dish.
