The best crab boil I've had in a long time was from my visit to Texas. I love the flavors, the spice level was amazing cause I love spicy food and it wasn't even the hottest. Had me and my husband sweating, it was a great time. I will definitely be back. The staff was very friendly and brought us lemons to cool the heat. The food was amazing! Delicious, I had fried shrimp & fried fish. The shrimp was big enough that I brought my leftovers home and had a po'boy from them the next day. The sauces were fresh, the drinks delicious and the servers were really good at their jobs, as well as the bartenders. After waiting on hold on the phone for 6.5 minutes, I ordered the Cajun Fried Rice to go. The food was made pretty quickly and the lady over the phone was helpful with the questions that I had about the menu. I first tasted the rice without the sauce and it was decent. I was thinking 'yea I would probably get this again'. Initially, I didn't realize a sauce came with it. Craving crawfish and oysters so we thought it would be a good idea to try the food here. Unfortunately, crawfish is not in season so they were all frozen. We were excited that they had raw oysters though since pappadeaux didn't have any. When we came in they said we could at the bar because they said they had no tables left but there were 2-3 tables that were empty when we walked by. --Seafood Bread (1/5) - Minced imitation crab topped with a lot of cheese on 4 slices of bread. This was too sweet and the flavor was not there for us. We shared one slice and couldn't eat the rest. --Raw Oysters (5/5) - They were nice, plump, and cold! There was no briny taste, cleaned well, and sweet. --Grilled Oysters (3.5/5) - The flavor was good, but z85 was too salty and very garlic-y. --Catfish Tacos (2/5) - Comes with 3 tacos and the fish was big as hell. Not the typical fish taco you would expect from a seafood restaurant though. The sauce to it was too sweet and I wish there were corn tacos instead of flour. We took the fish out and ate it by itself. The side was upgraded to Cajun fries which were good. Service was a bit slow and I think they forgot about ur seafood bread because she asked if it ever came out and when it did, that's when our second order of entree came out. Yes, they were a little busy so they weren't really attentive because it took about 10-15mins for them to place our order. I asked for plates and she gave me a big ass silver tray that they use to put oysters on. When leaving, I could tell why the hostess wanted to hang up the phone so bad because she was busy on her phone. We came here on a Sunday evening for dinner and it wasn't too packed so we didn't have a long wait. It was our first time so wasn't sure what to expect but it's a nice atmosphere. We ordered a dozen raw oysters, crab fries, Rock'n pack and crawfish tacos. The raw oysters were really good. Nice and plump without being grainy and tasted fresh. Rock'n pack was pretty good. It comes with boiled shrimp, sausage, potato, corn and an egg over seasoned rice. It was pretty good.. you just can't go wrong with boiled shrimp and the sauce is the BEST. The crawfish tacos were good, just a touch sweet due to the sauce drizzled over the fried crawfish tails. The crab fries were also good but kind of one note and a little oily. Overall good experience with good service! I would come back and go with a larger party to get a variety of items to eat/try. read more

Apologies that there are no pics. Our daughter was in town and we took her here for seafood. Had a great time and forgot... :-( Food is expensive, but very good. For 3 people we spent about $200. While the food was great, our server, Bri, made it a great visit. Not only was she honest with her suggestions, but as we moved to the area about 6 months ago, we had never tried crawfish. The main item we ordered had a ton, so she grabbed one (asked first of course) and showed us how to break them and then peel and eat them. After that she exhibited what I deem to be the best service possible... she checked on us without doing it too much. Drinks were always full and she never interrupted conversation. We decided to celebrate a friend's birthday at Rock'n Crab in Beaumont last night. We arrived @ 7pm and was told the wait would be 15-20 minutes for a table of 4 but was seated within 10 minutes. We waited for a good 10-15 minutes until our waiter, Antonio came to take our drink order. We were waiting on 3 other people so the wait did not bother us. We were given a sample of their seafood bread which tasted DELICIOUS! We all shared a Perfect Boil platter with Rock'n Mix flavor and medium spice, Loud Pack, fried calamari (not pictured) and crab fries. Everything was good, but if you like spicy then I would recommend getting extra spicy for the boiled seafood. Their mixed drinks are weak. The only downside during our visit is the slow service, but don't let that stop you from giving them a try. I'd be back to try other things on their menu. read more

Bri and Holly are fantastic! Bri is doing a phenomenal training and they're both very attentive, had great customer service and had everything we needed without us having to even ask! I had "the catch" which is snow crab, shrimp and crawfish. I was given the option to sub more shrimp since the crawfish aren't fresh yet which I really appreciated! Delicious and tons of food! Love this place. I've only ever had bad service once, but the other waiters/waitresses and manager were more than accommodating. Is it pricy? Absolutely. Is it worth it. Ohhhh yes. It's so delicious and seasoned well. I'm not a fan of their crab bread, but everything else is so good. Even my picky mother loved the boudin balls (and she hates them everywhere else). And had garlic seasoning and were cooked in butter and spices. It was delicious. Spicy, not too salty, and really tasty. It was expensive but it was also the beginning of the season. I saw other tables with the snow crab and decided that is what I'm trying next time. This rating is based on customer service. My daughter had a party of 11 and we called prior to us being there Saturday, and they told us no they couldn't hold the room. It was on first come first serve basis. So when we got there my husband asked for a table for us and we were sat down immediately. So my daughter table they said about 40 minutes. So I go and check on the table for my daughter and her friends the hostess was like we're still waiting to seat them. And no they couldn't use the room because they received a call for a heads up of 20 people. And they have to accommodate those people even though this room stayed open one hour and 15 minutes. Finally they sat my daughter and friends down an hour later. The manager was nonchalant about it. 3 people came to my table to say oh it's a 18% gratuity added to y'all party. 3 people including a manager. I was like OK so. Didn't understand the reason behind that, but customer service sucks there. The food was good but customer service sucked all the ladies had bad manners including the managers. read more

If you have a seafood allergy and you come here thinking you'll be safe getting the chicken strips, you're sadly mistaken. My girlfriend is allergic to seafood but I love it so we came here thinking she'll be fine with the chicken so we asked our waitress (who was so rude from the beginning) if they fried the chicken in the same grease as the seafood and she goes to ask the kitchen and she comes back and says YES!!!!! We are truly disappointed in this because it doesn't seem like they take allergies into consideration. It sucks to say but we will not be returning. read more

A friend had suggested it to us and the good news was that when did get our food, it was good. Unfortunately, it took some time and effort to get it. The fried fish was under cooked and "floppy." We had to flag down our server to get help and asked if we could get fish that was crispier and showed her our serving. She took our basket of fish, returning later with the same basket of food with the same, now cold fries, included. The same two pieces had indeed been cooked longer and was good but it was concerning, in this day and time, that they would take food off of the table back into the prep area to re-cook it not knowing what we may had done to it. We didn't see our server again until we had to flag her down twice for water and the bill, while she was visiting with other employees at the checkout counter. On 01/14/2024. I entered into the restaurant because I wanted to have a meal there, while watch the playoff game. There was no wait that I could see. I saw an open booth with a tv in front of it, with the game I wanted to watch playing and no one was seated there. I asked to be seated there specifically and told them I would have another party joining me soon. The staff agreed to sit me there. However, the waitress/hostess walked me to another booth across the restaurant where I asked and they agreed to seat me. I advised the person seating me this was not were I wished to be seated, that I asked to be seated at that specific open booth in order to watch the game. The waitress the gave the excuse of I could see the game just fine from the booth she was attempting to seat me. I advised her that I asked and they agreed to seat me in the aforementioned booth and she then told me that that section was closed. I noted that there were other patrons seated in that section, just not that booth. Then seconds after she told me that I could not be seated at that booth because that section was closed, another hostess seated a couple in the booth I previously asked to be seated. I also noted that this couple was an African American couple, and I am a white male. I confronted them with this information and inquired as to why I was lied to and why exactly they refused to seat me, when they seated the other couple? No one had a reasonable answer. What I presume was the manager did attempt to diffuse the situation by offering to seat me anywhere else available in the restaurant. However at this point I was infuriated and disgusted because I felt as I was being treated based on my race and not as the honest well paying patron I am. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and should never be tolerated. Even if I so happen to not be correct in my belief that I was treated differently based on my race, what is undeniable is that I was blatantly lied to by the wait staff. I simply can not in good conscience recommend this restaurant based on moral and ethical reasons. This type of behavior should never be tolerated in todays society and should be brought to light when and where ever it arises. read more

To-go order. Fish and fries are the hardest thing to order to-go. They always turn out soggy. Ordered the Cajun fries (recommended by the hostess) and they still had that perfect crunch without being oily when I got home and even when I went back for seconds an hour later. Same with the catfish. It stayed crispy, wasn't oily, tasted so clean. I ordered when I got there. I liked that the hostess took your order instead of sending you way back to the bar like a lot of restaurants. My hostess, I think her name was Shy, she was shy but sweet and when I said I really wanted extra tartar sauce - she really seemed to care and wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. ** Don't forget to tip your hostess on to-go orders ;) also - I don't think I spent more than 15 minutes total and I didn't place my order until I got there. My husband saw a review on Facebook and he had me check it out on Yelp which Yelp has not yet failed us. Some of the reviews were not good but we thought we would check it out anyway. We were not disappointed. Our server was Mikayla B. & she did a great job attending to drink refills & asking if she could get us anything. We both ordered the City Boil & shared a side of Crab fries & a Brownie Sundae. We had the City Boil seasoned with Rock' N Mix flavor with Medium Spicy. It was so delicious. Our server did bring each of us a slice of Crab Bread which was very tasty as well. The snow crab is some of the best we've ever eaten. It was seasoned well & very succulent. We will definitely make the 1 hr 14 minutes trip again as it was well worth it!!! read more

Gumbo was excellent with lots of seafood and sausage. boiled egg with their spice mix was unique and made an ordinary egg tasty. the complimentary bread had a mix of crab and other goodies. delicious. service was friendly. will definitely go there to try other dishes four rating as orders are put in line and it took a while for them to serve a cup of gumbo and an egg that all were ready made. read more
