This was a carry out order for shrimp fried rice With extra shrimp. What I actually got was a container of rice of which it was mostly just rice I had to add my own soy sauce. There were no veggies in there just a little bit of egg. Check out attached photo. I removed all the boiled shrimp (not fried) and this what I am left with. Even a rating of 1 is too high. read more

Salt and Pepper shrimp with shrimp fried rice is my favorite. 20 large shrimp with sauté onions is my favorite!

I would not stop here again. They were out of everything (oysters, gumbo, and dumplings), and the bathroom was DISGUSTING! To be fair, it was a bunch of worker men in there, but pee all over the floor, and without AC... GROSS! Also, I can't stand places that don't sell fountain drinks, so that was kind of the icing on the worst cake there ever was. read more

Hello Fellow Yelpers, It's been a while since I've shared a review, but today is a good day to share. My husband and I went to this little spot in Lumberton, TX that we heard about from family that live in Silsbee, TX. The name of the place is Ro's Seafood, as you can see from the picture below. An ok spot but can use a friendly critique. First of all, please acknowledge and greet your customers the moment they walk in. If you are a little busy at the time, voice that you will be with them in a moment as soon as you are done. We walked in and the waitress who was holding friendly conversation with other customers looked at us and then turned back around to continue her conversation, leaving us standing at the counter for 3-5minutes. Now, the food was good, but lack any seasoning (very bland (I usually pack my own anyway). I had the House Special that could have used a pick me upper like sautéed bell peppers, onion, & pineapple. My husband had the Seafood which was really good but again lack seasoning. An ok place to visit, but be warned, they put a lot of food on your plate. You have enough for at least two meals. This place is small but durable for a quick meal. Hope this helps. read more

I was in the mood for some fried seafood. So I decided to go to Ro's seafood. This is your true hole in the wall, shoe string operation seafood restaurant. I was a little hungry, so my idea was to get something small for dinner. To my astonishment, six oysters two fillets of fish. Was actually two large fillets and six jumbo oysters fried. Along came with it was coleslaw and a small salad and french fries. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. After hearing good things about Ro's we decided to try their fried crawfish combo. My husband and I each took one bite and it went straight in the trash. The fish was clearly bad as well. Unfortunately we got it to go, so didn't get our money back but we will definitely not be returning. read more

I eat here often ,they have delicious food .I have ate the fried fish/shrimp. The fried oysters, the grilled fish/shrimp,the fried frog legs all the food is wonderful and it only takes 15 minutes to get your food ,dine in or take out you get plenty of food and prices are very reasonable read more

What can be said of RO's Seafood? I will start with the setting, which was simply sublime. The floors were a diagonal faux wood work of art. The pieces fit together perfectly, and were enhanced by years of roach-spray stainings and Big Mac drippings from the 1990's. The artwork displayed on the walls gave one a sense of whimsy. It made me feel as if I were at an estate sale in a double-wide trailer, or perhaps at the bottom of a disorganized Walmart bargain bin. I can only compare the pieces to those now housed by the Louvre in Paris. The ceiling tiles were in disparate states of caramel coatings which reminded one of the barnacle-laden hulls of 16th century Spanish ship wrecks. Just like those ships, this restaurant carried its own ornate treasure chest - the food! I ordered a grilled catfish filet and a small crawfish dish. When the food was gingerly placed in front of me by the very attentive (and well-dressed) staff, I first noticed the beautiful presentation. My still smoldering catfish slice lay upon a cracked middle school plastic plate. I sensed an amount of reverence and respect for the animal. RO's truly understood that catfish are complicated creatures, and their true desire in life is to be rested upon discarded plasticware in death. The best was yet to come, however. As my filet ceased its smoldering, a veritable smorgasbord of fried crawfish was placed in front of me. The crawfish were arranged on similar plating, but slightly larger (a high school instead of a middle school dish perhaps). The crawfish were piled into a pyramid design that would have impressed even the Egyptian Magic Goddess, Isis. The clever chefs at RO's created a three-inch thick crispy batter around the tiny crustaceans, causing a crunch in the mouth reminiscent of a hot pork rind with tiny squishy meat inside. A cup of salad and a cup of coleslaw completed the dish. The salad was compiled of the brownest romaine lettuce one could purchase from a neighborhood gas station, and the coleslaw's cabbage was so soft, it could have been confused with mashed potatoes. The two sides were topped with buy-in-bulk ranch dressing and mayonnaise, respectively. This was actually the key to the entire meal. RO's brilliantly understood how intimidating the rest of the dish was...something had to bring it back to earth, so a person could eat it without feeling as though he or she were destroying a work of art. In closing, the meal was simply divine. If I had been hit by a truck when leaving RO's, I would have died at the pinnacle of my life: with RO's seafood in my stomach. Brava RO's! Brava! read more

Neat little casual restaurant on Main St. I always thought it was a seafood market! You can dine in, or order to go. The menu is on the wall, and ordering is done at the counter. I always get the popcorn shrimp with 2 pieces of catfish. (Fried, btw, but they offer grilled as well) It comes with a huge amount of shrimp which is cornmeal battered, and very crunchy and tasty, lots of fries, coleslaw, salad (which is just iceberg lettuce w/dressing on it) and 2 large catfish filets. They offer cocktail and tarter sauce as well, both are great. Try their boudain balls too, they are fantastic! There are many other menu items like eggrolls, crawfish tails, fried rice, crab wontons, gumbo, Etouffee, chicken wings, and fried oysters. A little bit of everything! Service is fast, and employees very friendly. Always seems to be very clean too. Prices are great, and you get a lot of food for what you pay. Great place to try when you are craving fried shrimp/catfish and don't want to hit the "Kitchen" or the "Cabin" if you know what I mean by that. :) read more
