Wow, has this company gone DOWN HILL…read more With no notice they raised my bill. I tried calling them to downgrade (I don't stream movies much at all) and sat on hold forever. Then I took advantage of their recorded voice offer to call me back. They never did. That means that I was sitting on hold that entire time FOR NOTHING. Same thing happened this morning when I tried to call them, still trying to reach them about the same thing, and no response, an no call back (again). Then I look at their web site and they've got notices on there that they have office space and servers available to rent. I guess times are tough now. I can't imagine why with a service decline like this compared to the past. This company used to be responsive and human and real and timely. Now you're on hold for no reason at all (they're never going to pick up) and forever, with raspy, terrible music that's like torture to have to listen to. I'm going to have to find an alternative. This company has LOST ITS WAY. There is NO EXCUSE for leaving customers on hold forever knowing full well you are NEVER going to put a human on to take the call, and you are NEVER going to return the call after offering to. No one needs yet another business run like this, and I'm not rewarding it with my money after putting me through this and wasting my time like this over multiple days.

I only stopped at this location because the Apple Store, which is across from the Galleria, recommended that I go to Xfinity for help transferring my eSIMs. My previous transfer had been handled completely over the phone, so I expected this to be a quick and simple process. When Joshua first approached me, he was actually friendly. He asked where I purchased my new iPhones and whether I had purchased them through Xfinity. I explained that I had purchased them directly from Apple and that I have never purchased my phones through Xfinity. He then offered me two watches for free. I politely declined because I did not need anything else and only needed help transferring the eSIMs. I told him, "I'm sorry if I'm being short. My energy is really low right now, and I'm just trying to get the eSIM transfer done and leave." I was trying to apologize and explain that I was tired, not being disrespectful. That was when his attitude completely changed. He became argumentative and started questioning me repeatedly, but he wasn't actually answering the questions I was asking. I had already waited approximately 40 minutes to get assistance. He had me complete identity-verification questions on an iPad and gave me the same question twice. My mom was with me and only speaks Spanish, so I told her in Spanish, "Me está diciendo que son diferentes preguntas y son las mismas pendejas preguntas." I was telling my mom that he was giving me the same questions--not calling Joshua a "pendejo." He became very upset and accused me of cursing at him and calling him a name, which I never did. There was also an issue where, after he scanned my driver's license and I gave him permission to access my account and make the necessary changes, I received an email regarding a purchase. I had not purchased anything, so I asked him why I was receiving the email. Instead of explaining, he asked if I had signed anything. I said no and explained that I had only authorized him to access my account and make service changes. His response, "If you haven't signed anything, there's no purchase," felt sarcastic and dismissive instead of helpful. I was asking a completely reasonable question because I had received a purchase email. He also had my phone at the time, so I couldn't even open the email myself to see what it said. The situation continued to get worse. Joshua went back and forth to his manager, Daniel, several times during the interaction. I eventually asked for a manager because I felt the situation was becoming unnecessarily uncomfortable. Daniel was busy with other customers and did not have much time to speak with me. I understand the store was busy, but I had already waited approximately 40 minutes before receiving help. What was especially frustrating is that after all of this, my phones were still not properly activated. Joshua started working on one phone, then moved on to my mom's phones, and ultimately neither phone was actually active. The changes appeared to be in the system, but the service was not working as it should have been. So after all the waiting and frustration, the issue wasn't even fully resolved. Thankfully, Kelsey stepped in and was extremely helpful. He knew how to access the virtual support system and connected me with Asmaa. Asmaa was wonderful--patient, kind, professional, and very efficient. She answered our questions, made the process much easier, and repeatedly told me to take my time. I truly appreciate both Kelsey and Asmaa for helping turn the experience around. This was my first time visiting this location, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. I understand that stores get busy, but being busy should not mean making a customer feel uncomfortable or accusing them of saying things they did not say. I went there expecting a simple eSIM transfer based on the recommendation from the Apple Store, and instead spent a significant amount of time dealing with an unnecessarily difficult interaction. Kelsey and Asmaa deserve recognition for their professionalism and kindness. Unfortunately, my experience with Joshua made what should have been a simple process extremely stressful and disappointing.

We were shut down for 2 days with computer problems and for the next 2 weeks had nothing but problems and downtime. We told them to move our stuff back to our inhouse server only to find out they actually tried to put us in AZURE Microsoft cloud base . That was never discussed and they decided to to that on their own without any change order and lied and said that's what the plan was when literally we had them in our office and thru emails stating that we are moving to there data center were they have space. Our software at that time was not going to work in that platform due to the amount of data. We decided after all the problems to cancel our service to only have fortis strong arm us and held us hostage. We disputed a $1900.00 charge for services they were charging us but not providing and finally after a back and forth with them we agreed to pay as long as we can get our credentials and then they said they were going to audit our account. The next week they sent us a bill for 8,000 dollars for magical tickets from 2 years ago ,gave us 24 hours to pay or they would disrupted out ability to work and that is exactly what they did .block our staff and took over our computers. We ended up paying them 10,000 as basically ransom. They are dishonest and they claim to be there to protect you from viruses and people taking over your computer but they are the ones you need to worry about. It has been 2 months cents our cancellation and guess what ,not one computer problem except from the computers we bought from them . So weird that having the "big IT company with multiple calls to fix computers to not having any problems at all says a lot. The light at the end of the tunnel we also cancelled our VoIP and found a new vender that was less price and more features and we are not paying 2400.00 a month to them for there contract. It was a blessing that they performed so poorly as we found better solutions. If i can save one person from this nightmare and them using a company that will charge you for services they are not providing then this review is worth it. If your looking for a honest IT Company they are not it. you can look online and see this is common practice for them.

Since making the move, we have only lost internet service once when someone hit one of their supply junctions (?) and even then we only lost service for a couple of hours late at night and were given a credit without asking for one and it was much more than I would have even thought of asking for given the situation and how long we were out of internet service. Cable services have been good, with the only exception being our DVR has had to be reset a couple of times from their end for whatever technical reason. However, each time we called in to handle the issue, customer service was on point and very helpful. The only complaint I have at this time is the cost of services have become significant since they joined up with CCI and of course that was right about the time our discounted rates expired. I will probably be contacting them in the coming week to see if there are package deals for existing customers since another friend did so and was able to keep her same services and her bill went down by almost half. All in all would recommend them to a friend as a valid option for internet and cable services, especially since their customer service has been great to date. I am still waiting to see (especially after reading other reviews) how things look in the coming months with as their "growing pains" and kinks from their merger with CCI subside.

In light of poor wired ADSL copper service now offered by a major service provider, no long term fiber outside plant deployment programs in Alta Sierra Ranches by the County of Nevada, my discussion was very timely, productive and encouraging with SmarterBroadband. We also discussed 5G announcements by major service providers and "reality of lack of any near term timely deployment" since rural Grass Valley is not a high-density metro area. SmarterBroadband provides reliable broadband service and is interested in your Business. When you call them, tell them where you live (Grass Valley Residential Area-especially Alta Sierra or Alta Sierra Ranch) and what you have been experiencing in reliable/unreliable broadband service at your existing "contracted" speed (throughput).

After comparing my current internet service to other available options, I'm even more disappointed…read morewith what we've been paying for. For awhile, SBB was great!! And then Starlink came around. And then became available in the Nevada County area.... Obviously SBB cannot beat Starlink, but you'd think they would atleast try to be a little competitive to retain customers... We now currently pay around $130/month after router fees for internet advertised at only 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Despite that, the service barely functions reliably for normal household use. Netflix buffers even on data-saving mode. School assignments and online tests take forever to load. My toddler's speech and learning apps frequently freeze or fail to load entirely. Many times I end up disconnecting from Wi-Fi and using cellular data instead because it performs better. What makes this worse is that they claimed we were somehow using 1,500-2,000 GB of data monthly while simultaneously providing internet too slow to consistently stream a movie without buffering. We checked everything ourselves: reduced streaming quality, monitored connected devices, tested usage with almost nothing on the network, and still experienced extremely poor performance. Instead of addressing the actual service problems, they repeatedly contacted us about "excessive usage" and then automatically moved us to this... service... (lol) which is what they call an "unlimited" plan which is ironic considering the plan can barely support basic streaming, my college coursework, or children's learning apps without buffering and interruptions. After looking into alternatives (STARLINK!!) it's honestly shocking how far behind this service is. Starlink is offering 200-400+ Mbps speeds, unlimited data, modern equipment, and dramatically better performance for $10 less than the new monthly price we're already paying for SBB. Starlink is even offering a promotional $99/month rate for the first three months while providing vastly faster speeds and better equipment. There IS a one time equipment fee of $349, but that's it. No monthly equipment charge. Paying premium pricing for internet that struggles to load homework assignments, online tests, Netflix on data-saving mode, or a toddler's speech-learning app is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this provider to anyone who depends on atleast decent, reliable internet for school, streaming, or any other basic everyday usage... I cannot imagine trying to work from home with this internet...
