He showed us the differences between models, and when my mom had difficulty seeing the screen due to her eyesight, he printed the plan documents to ensure she'd be able to see everything. He really went the extra mile with us, even showing us in clear handwriting all of the specifics and detailed numbers/ math associated with our plan. WARNING: Predatory Sales Tactics and Deceptive Practices here! The salesperson in this store engaged in a classic "bait and switch" with us. We were told we were signing up for one mobile plan, but the representative rushed us through the digital signing process and secretly enrolled us in a much more expensive plan that we cannot afford! I see from the comments we are not the only ones who were defrauded with a Bait-and-Switch in this place. They did not provide us with a copy of the contract before we left. We didn't see this until the bill arrived. This was clearly a deliberate attempt to hide the fact that the plan we signed for was NOT what we were promised verbally. Management has been zero help, dismissively telling us it is our problem. It is not a mistake; it is fraud. I am currently filing a complaint with the FCC, CPUC and the Better Business Bureau, as well as a consumer protection claim with the California Attorney General. Stay far away from this location. I agreed to try a portable router only because I was clearly told: "if for any reason you don't like it, no strings, no commitment, just bring it back and we will take it." The device was practically useless in the west area of Roseville, with poor and unreliable performance. When I returned it within the stated timeframe, the manager gave me a rigid ultimatum: pay the restocking fee or deal with it over the phone and mail it back if they decide to accept the claim. I have to say based on reviews for all the Verizon store in Sacramento area they were all questionable, we took a chance and visited this store bc they were open till 8pm, We were greeted by Jewels(Juliana) she was available To help us and listened to our needs and concerns, she helped us upgrade our phones within a good time she wasn't rushed and took her time to explain the process. We also had an encounter with Kevin , he was also great and helpful! The supervisor (bearded guy) he did not greet us at all when we entered the store, even walked by us at the counters while we were getting help no smile no nothing, considering we were PAYING Customers! I came into the Verizon store at the Roseville Galleria just to pick up my phone. Several other people walked in around the same time, and the employee helping another customer didn't acknowledge any of us -- no greeting, no "I'll be right with you," nothing -- even after more than 10 minutes of waiting. What made it worse is that when he finished helping the first person, he started helping someone else instead of acknowledging or checking in with the rest of us who had been waiting. I understand being short-staffed or busy, but acknowledging people as they walk in is basic customer service. It takes two seconds and makes a huge difference. Having worked in customer service myself, I know how hectic things can get, but this level of disregard was honestly disappointing. My date usage was insane ??? 39 gigs in one month when I don't even burn through 1.5 gigs my per month my whole 3 years of service ???!!!! Now no one can track my devices that were sent back from your corporate location in Roseville CA?!!! I am going through the worst part of my time and no one understands. I sat on the phone with the worst customer service representative ever for 30 minutes and she stepped in and took over to get my trade in completed and my credit put on my account. The verizon worker I dealt with during my visit did not want to work at all. I have an iPhone XR looking to upgrade. Started with us walking into the store where a worker was standing at the door. He looked at us, we looked at him - silence. We said Hi, another 10 seconds go by of blank eye stares before he says hello. Tried looking at phones for the trade in program that was advertised but he told us I would only get $10 for my phone and to buy a case from them - which I declined. I bought my new iphone 14 Pro Max from the Apple store and they sent me to this Verizon company store to get it activated and everything from my previous android phone transferred. This location was extremely busy so there was a bit of a wait with customers ahead of me (hence minus a star). The overall experience was very good and the guy who performed the activation and transfer of all of the pictures, contacts, and other data did a fantastic job. Make sure both phones have a healthy charge as the transfer took almost two hours. Everything transferred over fine and they even sold me a genuine Apple case which the Apple store ran out of. I will definitely return as my experience here was very good. read more

I will preface this by saying that I hate writing negative reviews and rarely do so, but I feel like this business deserves it for not being able to deliver on their promises. Terrible experience here. I feel like we got the old bait and switch, which I was NOT expecting from a corporate-owned store. We were promised $800 per trade-in, that one of the phones which was out of stock would be overnighted, and activation fees waived. First, the phone was shipped 2-day so I had to spend $40 to ship it to family members who were supposed to be at our house in time for the overnight shipping. Not a massive deal but annoying. When I went in to return the trade ins they stated two of the phones would only receive $400 instead of $800. That would completely screw up the math on the deal. After a manager came out and basically said "you signed off on this so we can't do anything for you and these phones are our property now" (while I was calm and respectful) another employee suggested speaking with the original rep who set up the account. When I came in the next day the rep said she 100% remembers the $800 trade in credits that applied to all 3 phones and to not worry because she will take care of everything. Great! We left happy. An hour later she called back and said oops, that was actually wrong and we could not have the $800. All that they would offer is $125 for each line over 36 months to basically match the deal we got for the BYOD lines. All the activation fees were charged to the account, amounting to $315. I had to fight to get those removed but 3 still remained. In addition, I set up autopay through a bank account immediately but was still charged an extra $10 per line on my first bill. The discount takes 1-3 billing cycles to take effect and all of that money is non-refundable! For an account with 6 phones that is up to an additional $180 stolen. The only positive I can think of is that the reception is good in this area. A reason why we switched was their Canada coverage, which turned out to be less than ideal as after 2GB of data used per day it downgrades to 3G which is painfully slow there. read more

This was the second time I've received horrible customer service at this Verizon. I hate writing a bad review but I'm taking the time out of my day because this was so upsetting. I came in to upgrade my phone. Seems simple.. Yeah, not! After explaining to the young lady what I wanted to do, she fiddled on her ipad then said she had to go into the back to "print" out what it will all come out to be. I'm not kidding when I say 20-mintues later - I said "did the printer run out of paper"? She then begins to go over the plans... First, it's you get a free iPad for six months on THIS plan, then you get THESE channels too for so many months.. I glance up at the top of the paperwork and see my plan going from $246.28 to -$288.34.. WHAT?!? I asked for an upgraded phone, why is my plan going up.. It was an even exchange turning in my phone.. I'm confused.. Now I'm annoyed... I only want the phone. She says okay you don't have to take all this. (And she's snotty and irritated) Then looks to her coworker standing next to her helping someone else.. And, now we've got an AWKWARD situation... Making me feel like I'm in the wrong. I say, "This is awkward, I don't understand why you're getting annoyed".. "I think what I've asked for was clear, I just want the phone upgrade". In a passive aggressive grin, she says says sorry, what color phone would you like? I said White. She proceeds to spin on her heels, and this is what broke the camel's back - She turns from fake smiling at me, and I see her look at her coworker with a disgusted look on her face like I'm a problem. Her disdain for me couldn't have been more obvious... Now I've had it. I ask to speak with a manager while she's in the back. This guy says he's a manager and I asked if I could have a word. He stands there in front of the customers at the table I was standing at and wants me to explain my frustrations in front of everyone.. I said " Ummm in private away from everyone please" I begin to try and explain, and he simply doesn't care. Just nods his head and says he needs to get more information. No empathy any. I had the bill, which included what I thought was the account number, but it turned out to be incorrect--typical Xfinity complication--and the Xfinity representative was not very helpful. Eventually, we managed to figure out the correct account details on our own and successfully ported the number. After we got home and rebooted the phone, everything was set up, and calls began coming through. I started Verizion Wifi early 2024 and was promised 5gig in a month or so mean time they gave me 4g lite. and the performance was poor. I HAVE HAD TO CHANGE THE ROUTER box and reset everything in my house and yard 3 times this year. Low speeds I never got the 5g promised but on more than 3 calls to the support they promised I was put on the top of the list just over 1 year now. I also purchased a land line for extra safety and discontinued it because in an emergency it did not perform as I was told, When I brought their equipment back, they said keep to or throw it away we don't want it back but they wanted $200 SURPRISE. I called support the said they had to charge me $200 on my next bill but would also give me a credit for $200 on the same bill, Feb Bill waiting for the bill Still having a problem I got a lot of buffering and low download and upload speeds. Then I kept getting a "something went wrong try again later "error I tried turning it off and on then unplugging the TV at the wall and Turning the Box off for 1-20 sec sometimes as told by support/ Please note I am disabled and use a walker trying to do all this is very hard for me to do especially at 3am. I have 2 TVs one in front room and one in Master bedroom TV#2 I called report repeatedly and they could not fix the problem. I called support on January 3 spent an hour on phone then they scheduled a home visit by tech on Jan 10th a week after this call January 10 @4pm and the Tech did a NO-SHOW. No Call January 10 after 4:45 I called Support again because of the NO Show Spent another hour on the phone doing the same things + a reset and they scheduled another home tech visit for the 14th@ 3pm January 14 just after 2 I called support to confirm that someone would be coming. THEY CONFIRMED. the support person Jensen said he would call me back to make sure the Tech showed up. The Tech NO Show No Call Jensen did call me back and I told him the tech did a NO Show No call He tried the same things and made a call appointment which I received email verification on for Jan 15 at 1pm EST another 1h on the phone Jensen left with the wifi not working at all on the 2nd TV read more

I said "no i switched because of work reasons such as confidentiality / PII. so i switched over to (such and such)" and your workers first response was "oh i guess you like paying more" "I guess you like paying more"...... I guess i like working wifi that doesnt lose 1450 mbps download speeds hardcapping me at 50 but an all actuality of 10. So yeah.... i think i like paying 10$ more. Because im still sitting at 850-1000+ consistant which hasnt dropped a hair since i got it. I couldve started something in the store. I called Verizon today and somehow they're AI transferred me to Asurion to troubleshoot a technical issue on my phone instead of help he just kept trying to upsell me to an assuring plan over and over again now I am very creeped out that he made changes without my authorization transferred me to the business team, even though I'm a consumer account kept trying to upsell even after I told him I just got home from the hospital and only want to fix my issue and not change anything on my account at least 8 to 10 times! Sounds so much like Wells Fargo now I feel very distressful that my information is going to be changed without my authorization on my account been authorizing for over 25 years read more

I didn't want to leave a review until I discovered a $30 "set up & go" charge on my email receipt after heading home with my new phone still in its sealed box. Lol. If anyone happens to read this, at the corporate "1-800" verizon stores, the "set up & go" charge is assistance for SETTING UP your phone. I was asked by the rep if I needed assistance setting up, and I repeated myself multiple times that I do not, hence me leaving the store with a factory sealed new phone. This was my first time with this store, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. I wasn't explained what the $17 insurance charge was until I asked the rep if it's optional. I get that it's a sales job, and you're meant to upsell, but at least be transparent so your customers know what they're paying for, unless your goal is to not have repeating customers. I also think it's a hassle for an airline to tell you that they need to cancel your tickets, but as a customer looking to upgrade her phone, I shouldn't need to hear that conversation between my rep and united airlines as he was servicing me. My rep was otherwise nice, but I can't look past everything else. Anyway, I called Verizon, and they helped me waive the $30 service fee and gave me an additional $30 credit for the inconvenience. First time I went to a corporate Verizon store. Which I would recommend to everyone. I had a previous encounter with a non- corporate Verizon. And was ripped off for over $350.00.
