The food here is very good, the service is confused and disjointed. Started with the Jefferson chicken appetizer. Boneless chicken rolled in pecans with a maple bourbon dipping sauce. Must try this. They could only improve it if they had it as on entree. For my entree had the duck special, excellent. Cooked to perfection with a tasty cherry sauce on top and wedges of sweet potato on the side. The confusion with the service starts before you're even seated. When you check in to be seated they're a bit bewildered with what to do next. We were 15 mins early and were told they we didn't have an assigned table (whatever that meant) so it was unknown when we'd be seated. 2 mins later we were seated in what looked like a check-in table for the large group in the nearby Madbury room. Strangest table I've ever had at a restaurant. The table was next to the tavern dining and literally in the aisle. Took quite awhile for a server to recognize we were there as well. Apps came out fairly fast, but the entrees took quite awhile. All in all, good food and may be worth a visit on a less busy night. Suggest you request a table upstairs

They have great fish, really good food and nice ambience. The dining room feels old; has old New England charm.

The atmosphere was beautiful in an antique home/B&B with the charm and character of a classic New England building.

Burger: I went with the Beast Mode, which comes with two patties, cheese, double bacon, "Hop sauce," crispy onions, pickles, and maybe more. Can't really specify temp, so the patties a bit dry, but well-seasoned and really good beef flavor. I liked the creamy, zingy sauce. But that bacon! Flavorwise, among the best bacon I've ever had. Texturewise, I really liked the thickness and pliability, but this came at the expense of some crispness. I'll take that trade but same may not. I also really liked the bun, which is a seeded briochy model that's less dense than what I've had previously at Tuckaway. Overall, very good burger. Gimme some juiciness and it's a great burger. Fries: They come standard with the burgers and chicken. A small order, but enough to get by and nicely done. Many fries options with various add-ons. You can also get onion strings, even though they're not on the menu. Shake: I went with chocolate. Not as fudgy as some I've had, but tasted very natural, with the milk flavor coming through, no shortage of chocolate, and a consistently that's thick but very drinkable. Good accompaniment to the burger. Chicken Tenders: I split a trio that came with fries and choice of sauce. These were huge and flattened, kinda like a chicken parm. Very crisp, well-seasoned, and juicy in spots, not-so-juicy in other spots. Good flavor on its own and in tandem with our hot honey (generous cup), dry rub (ditto), and both. Friendly staff throughout. Looking forward to coming back.

For instance, the "mozzarella sticks" were a gourmet version sitting in a sorry if pesto with a light breading and marinara sauce. They were fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Could be your go-to local place or a nice dinner out venue. The staff were amazing. We would finish a dish and push it aside to continue enjoying our drinks and someone would come by and take them away and she wasn't our server. Nice teamwork atmosphere. Clean organized and food came out timely with a beautiful presentation. Please go and try this gem.

It appears a couple owns Watershed and to see them actively run this place and kill the execution of the food served, deserves a round of applause and serious recognition. Ambiance was great inside as well! Im upset it took me so long to try this spot! A bit tough to see the sign where you enter is my ONLY critique. The restaurant is also listed as a seafood restaurant but I would not classify as strictly seafood as their menu offers mostly non seafood options( not a complaint, just an observation). Long story short, if you want some really good flavorful food that's farm to table do yourself a favor and please stop in. This place deserves to have a line out the door!
