We went here pretty early, like right at opening time. So as expected they were still setting up and cleaning. Its a new business so we had a few questions regarding their menu which they happily answered! We got the wings chicken bowl and the chicken burger, and i was so happy to know that everything on the menu was grilled and not fried. For the wings we got the blazingfl fury and for the burger we got yhe hot shot rooster (the spiciest ones) and happy to report it was actually HOT! The wings had the smoky grilled flavour to it which I loved and the bruger was complete with Chiabatta buns. This place is incredible and we loved their options!

(2.5 stars) Full disclosure: I tried this place a month after it opened, and I owe it another chance to see what might have changed. Initial impressions, however, were underwhelming. FF Chicken has an appealing concept and an enticing and versatile menu. You can get your chicken on a platter, in a bowl, in a wrap, in a sandwich or forgo chicken altogether - there are both fish and vegetarian options. Online ordering made customizing a bowl easy, and so my wife and I each built our own. At $19 (with tenders) and $17 (with roasted cauliflower), there was definitely a bit of sticker shock. FF was out of a few of our requested options (including the cauliflower, but the manager was kind enough to call and offer substitutions). Customer service does seem to be a priority here. Alas, the food was a letdown. The veggies were bright and fresh, but while they looked great, they were practically flavorless. The chicken, on the other hand, delivered both a nice bit of char and lemon garlic notes from the sauce, but it was also dry. FF Chicken will likely never be a good value, but the ingredient quality and array of menu options suggest that with more consistent execution, it can offer a significantly better meal than the one that I had.

My work team and I grabbed a holiday lunch here at the end of the year. Peri peri chicken is a new style to me, apparently from Northern Africa. The menu was a bit overwhelming with so many options, but the cashier was happy to explain anything that was unclear or confusing. I got the chicken wrap with yuca fries. They allow you to pick your chicken sauce flavor, but all are varying levels of heat, no sweet. Pricing seemed to be a bit high, my chicken wrap with no side was $10.50 inches it's own. The wrap was good, but the chicken was maybe a little too charred for my liking, but I guess that's the cooking style. The yuca fries were also good. If you're looking for a new place to check out and like chicken, this one might be for you

I've saw a few people post about this restaurant so I wanted to come in and try it myself! It's a nice spacious restaurant with lots of seating. We were greeted kindly by the worker at the register and he explained the menu to us since we'd never been. I opted to get the grilled shrimp bowl and I added corn, pico de gallo, and roasted red peppers over a bed of saffron rice. The bowl was really good and I especially liked it with the garlic sauce mixed in. The shrimp tasted slightly over charred from the grill but were still pretty good! My boyfriend got fries and a chicken sandwich and I sampled it as well. The fries were so good! They were well seasoned, hot, and crispy. It was a great lunch and I can't wait to go back and try more!

Such a great new spot in town. I love the variety of sides and all the options they have. Everyone raved about the corn ribs. I'm obsessed with the garlic sauce and think I could put it on everything. They have a variety of Boles salads and sandwiches so there is sure to be something for everyone.

Flavored Flame chicken! I got 6 wings, fries and a drink. My wings were perfectly grilled with that nice char flavor. The I got the flavor flame which is medium in heat and they had a nice tang to them as well. Since the wings were grilled, they were extremely juicy and tender. My fries were plentiful, well seasoned, crispy yet meaty on the inside which is perfect! The garlic dipping sauce on the side is very flavorful and creamy ; it works on just about anything! The menu has lots of options for all appetites and tastes. They have cheerwine on their drink fountain which is always a treat. The staff was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

The lady taking our order was really nice and helpful. The food is good quality and fresh. Would be a really great option for when you don't want fast food or greasy food. My parents both said they would come back! The garlic sauce on the bowl was my favorite!

First time at this renovated space and new restaurant. Like fast food but not. Definitely a step up with the ingredients. The look of the restaurant is nice and fresh. Ordered the FF chicken burger which was 3 nice sized grilled chicken fingers on a ciabatta roll with lettuce tomatoes etc The girl taking our order must have been new because there was a communication gap when I asked if I ordered the combo could I sub the fries, and she said yes. What she failed to mention, is that instead of the 3.99 which included a drink and fries, I would be charged 4.75 for the cauliflower and 1.99 for my drink added to the 10.49 for the sandwich for a total of over $17 for a sandwich, fried cauliflower and a tea. A hefty price for lunch! She also never offered the bun choices, which were ciabatta or brioche. Found this out later when I reviewed the menu and saw it in fine print. She offered to tell us about the menu when we arrived so I just relied on her descriptions, maybe that's on me. The food was good but I'd rethink what I get next time. The chicken was tender but I'm fairly sure the grilled part may be prefab chicken already prepared, and not cooked fresh. The cauliflower was different and not bad at all except too salty. My spouse ordered the veggie burger, and she enjoyed it. No mention of what it was made with which I like when ordering a veggie burger as some can be overly processed. She had the yucca fries which were great! They were out of their signature fries at lunch, really? No one came to ask how the food was and I know this was counter service, but hey, a new food place and not busy. Go poll your customers and ask "how's your food?" The place is tucked next to one of the best dessert places in Greensboro and High Point, Sweet Dough. They may be the anchor that they will need at these prices.

We have been wanting to try FF chicken since they opened and we finally made our way there and definitely will be back. Service was great. He explained everything on the menu from the different types of salads, rice bowls, sandwiches and wings. Ended up going with the tender rice bowl with the lemon garlic splash. It was really good I just wish the lemon garlic flavor was a little stronger. The sauces that came on the side, bold garlic and flame lickin was amazing!! Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Gonna need to try it again I think but first visit was not quite what we expected. We ordered a variety of entrees including bowls, pitas, and wraps. I will say that the portion sizes overall are a tad on the small side (especially given the pricing... we spent $75 for 5 meals) so that was a bummer. There is a wide range of spice levels to choose from so we went conservative to middle of the road. The cajun spice was HOT! And there is an orange-ish sauce on most of the pitas/wraps that is also spicy so it adds spice on spice. It's not unpleasantly hot but it made it difficult to enjoy any nuanced flavors in the dish. The white sauce is super watery and has very little flavor to it. It does help cut the heat. I think I still just struggle to understand the identity of the place... is it a chicken joint, etc? There was nobody there today for lunch so I hope they are busier on other days. Otherwise, I don't know how they afford to stay open. Really wanted to like this place but we need to give it another try!

Jerk Chicken tenders sandwich with cheese lettuce and tomato it was hot and fresh. The French fries was hot and it was delicious.

The food was delicious I got a jerk chicken sandwich with lettuce and cheese and tomato. They had great customer service it was my first time there, they explained the menu good do I make my decision. The new place was clean.I only have one hang up the Sandwiches was $12.99 by itself but than you add $4.99 this was called a combo and the drink was not included so when you get 2 chicken sandwiches a combo plus a drink our bill was close to $40.00.All I'm saying the food was good but just over price. You should tried it and let me know what you think.

There has been a wealth of new fried chicken joints opening up in the Triad lately, and while we…read moreall love more options for crispy fried poultry, they all come with their own nuances. This spot, Hangry Joes, in my opinion has more in common with Korean style fried chicken, than a Nashville hot, or traditional southern place. The menu is diverse, and they make everything look exceptionally large and tasty... honestly, in my opinion, that ends up working against them. Compared with what is presented in their imagery, you are nearly certain to be let down by what you are given. Let me explain. I ordered the "Mega Sando Combo." The picture of a huge chunk of chicken spilling well outside the bun with plenty of tangy slaw and pickles really sold it as the thing I want. Also, when words like "Mega" are used, you are specifically creating large imagery. The reality... it's an 8 ounce chicken breast. The sandwich given to me was larger than one I would be handed at Chick-Fil-A, but not A LOT larger. It all fit completely under the bun. The amount of slaw on the sandwich was very modest... i would even say sparse. While the sandwich was absolutely tasty, my expectations were way off base, and they designed it that way. I think that's a bad thing. The price was also pretty Mega, and the amount of fries it came with... weren't even medium. We had the same issue with the loaded Mac n Cheese bowl. Again.. pictured as bountiful and spilling over the top. Reality, you would not have even had to press down to put a lid on it to go. It all was below the threshold. They also should be serving the sauce on the side with the bowls... there was so much buffalo sauce in the bowl it just tasted like eating a bowl of sauce rather than sauced chicken with mac n cheese. I have now learned my lesson. I'll come back, because really, both the sandwich and the fries were very tasty... but to be honest, not as often as I'd like, and with expectations that I have now created for myself, as opposed to seriously way overblown menu images.

We arrived about 7pm, on a Friday and the restaurant wasn't very busy at all. My wife and I had both signed up for their rewards program which automatically gave us each a $5 discount on our first orders, so using the kiosks, we placed our orders separately to take advantage of the discount. Their menu is pretty on par with other chicken spots, offering wings, tended, sandwichs. Pricing is on, maybe a little high for chicken. We placed our orders to go, I ordered a chicken tender basket with an Oreo milkshake, my wife got a chicken sandwich meal. After ordering we took a seat to wait, and wait...and wait. After about 15 minutes, my milk shake was ready, another 10 minutes, my food finally came out...and then we had to wait another 10+ minutes for my wife's food to be ready...far from fast food, 2 basic orders took over 30 minutes to prepare....pretty shameful. It was very clear they seem to put a priority on delivery and online orders over in store ordering. And they also seemingly only have one person in the kitchen that can only prepare one meal at a time. It's clear they are short staffed, but there are no signs up or perceived attempts at hiring. When we finally got home, the food was good, and the portions were adequate, but the slow food prep and lack of customer service is a huge deterrent for me to return any time soon.

They serve agua frescas and soft drinks. I ordered the 12 piece combo. They let me try both half fried and half grilled chicken. I chose 1 order of sweet plantains and 2 orders of yuca fries for my 3 sides. Also I was given some dinner bread rolls. The fried chicken has a distinct taste;it was savory and citrusy. There was a crunch to it but not as crispy as the other fried chicken chains and is less greasy. The fried chicken is seasoned with cumin, lime, paprika and cayenne peppers. The grilled chicken tasted super zesty ( heavy flavors of lime/oregano). The plantains is super sweet but soooo yummy!! I enjoyed the yuca fries as well( tasted like sweet fried thick cut potatoes). They carry the Cholula brand hot sauce and not texas pete like most places do. There is a good amount of seatings outdoor with umbrellas and indoor seating. They do catering too. One might ask themselves, "Fried chicken in a gas station?", but there are many hidden gems lurking…read morein unassuming places. After much hype and inquiring with a friend, we decided to try Pantry Fried Chicken, a.k.a. "gas station chicken", selecting a location closest to our house. We opted to order a la carte items, which saved us almost $10 (essentially eliminating drinks). Our meal consisted of chicken tenders, boneless chicken wings, fish fillet, large side of wedges, side of coleslaw, and fried okra. Soft rolls were a bonus! The breading on chicken is crunchy & tasty and comes with an array of sauce selections. The large size wedges could feed an army (at least 4-6 ppl). Potatoes were crunchy on outside (coated?) and soft & tender like a baked potato on the inside (our favorite). The okra was chewy. Now, I'm not sure how to rectify this issue as it had been sitting in a closed container, possibly trapping moisture (maybe wax paper bags?) ‍ Unfortunately , the fish was included in okra container (problem for those who don't like their food touching, but we didn't mind), and fish seemed a bit undercooked, hard to cut, a bit chewy/fishy for my liking. Not sure what type of fish they used, but I do prefer mine cooked a bit more (maybe they accommodate this request?). The coleslaw was tangy (I could definitely identify the horseradish!). All in all portion sizes are plentiful and they provide good value for the money. Everything cooked appears to be deep fried and nothing really stood out besides salt/pepper as seasoning and the potato wedges. You do get good portion sizes and value for the money. Add-ons also seem reasonable. We ordered via app (they have a rewards program) which provided follow-up texts regarding pick-up instructions and thanking us for our order/visit again. You can additional items (per piece price) to a la carte items. Again, this is located at a gas station in a strip mall near Scientific. The ambiance is storefront carryout with lots of parking lot traffic (so be aware). Not sure if dine-in options are offered (aside from your car interior). Recommend checking them out--even if it's once--and form your own opinions. (I was raised on broasted chicken/potatoes, so I may be a bit biased.)

My initial introduction was when they were located in Stock and Grain Food Hall. I had wanted to try them for a while and luckily I was invited to a Yelp Event where I was able to sample some items. But as some months passed, they are no longer in Stock and Grain but in a food truck in High Point. I highly suggest following their Facebook page for dates and times where you can catch them. The service was still wonderful and the food was really good. The sweet potato cornbread is one of my favs and the chicken wings and catfish bites were fried to perfection. I love collard greens but do understand, everyone makes them differently. My family is from eastern NC so we make ours savory, theirs have a little sweetness to it. I don't mind it but this time around was so much better, it was very well balanced. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. Although not pictured, do check out their Russian tea drink.
