This pet care company seemingly took over Rover's Seattle book of business, without clients' permission (including mine). When I received their first email telling us that they were taking over Rover I told them NOT to put me in their database & told them it felt like it was damaging trust that they would do this anyways. Since then I have continued to receive emails from them. Fast forward to now, when I decide I will at least inquire into their services...only to I find out they don't even offer overnight stays for cats, only dogs. How discriminatory against cats. What, like cats couldn't possibly need extra in home attention? This is such a common misperception about cats & I am surprised that any company catering to "pets" would allow themselves to buy into that BS. read more

Fetch has been a really awesome addition to our weekdays and I'm so glad to have found them! The first walker we met with wasn't a perfect fit, so I was a little nervous to live forward, but big shout out to the client coordinator Jessica who helped establish a new plan and kept in great communication. So far we've had Jordan and Dennis as part of our walking team and boy are they heaven sent! I have a husky and a rambunctious little mutt puppy who's favorite thing in the whole wide world is walks, and boy do these two get each other hyped. Honestly one of the worst client service experiences I've ever had. I rarely post reviews on Yelp but feel that this review could help others. I had scheduled a puppy training session for a Thursday. On the Tuesday before, Fetch reached out to let me know the trainer's schedule had changed and she was unable to come Thursday. They gave me a list of new times to choose from. The new options didn't work for me and they charged me $85 anyway because I didn't reschedule with them. I was shocked that they had the nerve to charge me after THEY cancelled the original session. Fetch came to my rescue after I pushed off finding a cat sitter for the holidays and kept coming up blank (rookie mistake). Fetch not only was able to squeeze me in, but they accommodated with the BEST sitter, Kaitlyn! Right away, I got Kaitlyn's resume and experience and felt super comfortable meeting her before my trip. She was very professional during our meet & greet, taking notes and asking all the right questions about how to properly care for my cats. I got daily updates and pictures from her via the Fetch app and it made me feel even better knowing they were in great hands. When I got home, it was clear my cats were very well taken care of and were happy (a hard find with my picky girls!). This was my first time using Fetch and I will definitely use them again. The company refuses to continue to provide services to you if you not give them a 5 star rating. They also bait and switch regarding service agreements. You sign a reasonable agreement when you first hire them. Then they insist you keep signing increasingly more severe agreements that ask you to agree to paying Fetch 7k - 10k if you break these very lame terms. In summary, you wii be harassed for max stars and if you give them 4 out of 5, they will demand a 5 (or else you are not a good fit). You will sign a service agreement and things will be fine, and the the increasingly paranoid new agreements will be forced upon you at threat of immediate termination of services if you do not sign an agreement where you accept an additional 10k of risk. You always want your pet to be excited (and not afraid) when certain people come to the door...when our Fetch walker comes, our pup is as excited as when her 'other' family comes home. We know she is so loved by her walker and we get the most incredible pictures everyday that validate that! I have been using Fetch for daily do walking for about 6 months. I used to use Rover before. I find Fetch much better. Instead of dealing with multiple dog walkers, you put in what service you need and Fetch does all the arrangments with their network of dog walkers. They seamlessly manage coverage when a walker is unavailable. Very easy to use and prices are consistent (not variable from walker to walker as on Rover). Their web-based schedule tool is easy to use. Their walkers are well matched to your dog's needs in case you need someone with a strong hand to help problem dogs and they do a great job with managing behavior on the walks to positively reinforce good behavior. read more

I wish I could give a better review because Fetch's pet-sitters are great and I've had wonderful experiences with them in the past, but I recently tried to set up pet care and was charged for the full service even though I didn't end up needing it. When I tried to resolve the situation, I was offered a credit for the amount I had paid. But when I wrote back to them - after paying in full - to accept the credit and said I hoped they could be more transparent about their charging practices in the future, the owner got super defensive and said I had misunderstood the situation. Nope, I understood and my negative experience is valid. While I trust Fetch's pet-sitters with my pet, it's not worth such an awful customer service experience and I don't plan to use them again. If you follow their directions perfectly you might have a positive experience, but beware if something goes wrong: You probably won't get your money back. Because I see the owner responded to this: Her response says that they confirmed service with me but that's not actually true. I never confirmed service with Fetch. It wasn't a "miscommunication" and I didn't "misinterpet" information received via email. I didn't send numerous emails. I sent three, one of which was in response to an offer of credit that I never actually received. By the time the owner offered to speak with me on the phone, I understood that there was no way the situation would be resolved positively, and intentionally chose not to engage further. Overall, this was among the worst, most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. If your business drops the ball, just apologize and make it right. Sorry, but there are tons of pet care services in Seattle. Choose one that doesn't treat their customers as scapegoats for their own poor management and communication. I've used and enjoyed Fetch in the past, but after this experience, and seeing their negative reviews from contractors on Glassdoor, I feel very good about taking my business elsewhere. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Fetch. I was leaving for Europe when my dog sitter found out she wasn't able to watch my dog a week before I was to leave. Naturally, I was upset. I intended to cancel the trip, but ended up calling Fetch, who I just recently established a relationship with, but hadn't yet used. I got the owner on the phone, she listened to my story and right away thought she had just the right person for my dog. She phoned me back a few hours later with the name of a gal and got me and my dog all sorted out, just like that. My dog, who has never stayed away from home, had a wonderful time with the dog sitter and I was able to relax while traveling, which was a huge relief. I'm leaving again for another trip on Friday and am using Fetch again. I wish I would have used them a long time ago rather than going through the aggravation of constantly looking for dog sitters. We have left our cats in Sandra's care several times over the last two years. Each time Sandra visits, she reports to us exactly what she has done and always sends us photos of our extremely happy-looking kitties. Upon our return we consistently find everything exactly as it should be. The kitties have ample food and water, the litter box is very clean, all our newspapers have been collected, and the mail has been brought in and stacked. The most impressive thing, though, is how much Sandra genuinely cares about our pets. The cat sitters we've had through other agencies in the past didn't show interest in anything beyond just doing their job and collecting their money. Sandra is completely different. We can see that she really loves our cats and feel that when she visits she is not only doing her job but also re-establishing her friendship with our pets. We and our cats look forward to many more visits from Sandra! read more

In response to Tamara here's the truth: I asked for pet and plant care from the outset. I discussed it with the pet sitter himself, I left him written instructions about the cat and the plant care. He saw them all when he met with me and didn't indicate a problem. He was to water everything twice a week. Nothing more. It takes me 20 minutes to do it. No one I spoke with indicated plant care was outside the scope of their work, an unusual request or any problem. I was assured there would be no problem with plant care. I also told the sitter and Tamara's office, several times, and in written instructions that if more time was needed to take care of things, they should ask and I would authorize it. They didn't ask. Had I been told he was spending more than the allotted time, I'd have paid for it. I wasn't. I rated the sitter well during my vacation, because the reports I got from him regarding pet care indicated he was doing a good job. The cat was fine and he seems to have done a good job with her, which I acknowledged to Tamara. (I did not say to her that I was "lucky the cat was alive" or anything like that, and I told her that when and she first mischaracterized what I said during our conversation. To repeat it now and say otherwise is untrue.) I was, however, in Mexico at the time and couldn't see the houseful of dying plants. Upon my return, I showed the pet sitter one dead plant of several when he came to drop off the keys. I did not march him through the house to see all of them. The plant I showed him was in a large pot, stood two feet above the soil level in height and three feet across when I left. It had withered away to the point it was lying flat against the soil and hung over the edge of the pot. A comparable replacement would cost $150. I asked him whether he had watered the plants. He was embarrassed. He said then that he didn't understand how he could have forgotten to water the plants or failed to notice the dead ones and he hoped they would recover. He didn't indicate to me that he felt demeaned or abused or that I was being in any way unfair. If anything, he was apologetic. I was not loud or abusive to him. I did not demean him or berate him. I simply pointed out his error. I'm sorry if he feels bad, but he's responsible for that, not me. My entire exchange with him lasted perhaps five or ten minutes. I was exhausted from a day of travel and wouldn't have had the energy for more, much less to rage or abuse. All of this is the truth and to say otherwise is a lie. I did not belittle or insult the sitter when I spoke to Tamara. To say otherwise is untrue. I do not understand how he could have failed to notice a houseful of dying plants when he had met with me in advance to discuss taking care of them and the cat, and had written instructions, as well as eyes in the front of his head. One need not be a plant person to see a houseful of plants and note that some of them are dying, particularly if it is one's agreed job to care for them. That is what I said to her. I didn't call him names, make fun of him or cast aspersions on him at any time. If she interprets from what I did say, any insult or use of abusive names or terms, then those are her words, not mine. To say otherwise is untrue. The man made a mistake and didn't pay attention. It is no more complicated than that. This is not what you want from someone is coming into your home every other day for two weeks while you're away. Dying plants, flood, fire, or a sick pet, you want him to notice and respond to things. That he isn't blind or stupid makes the error all the harder to understand or excuse. Tamara mischaracterizes what I actually did say. Based on her self-serving reinterpretation of both the facts above and my remarks in our conversation, she started an argument with me. She's now continuing that argument and making something personal that is not. Her staff didn't do for me as instructed and agreed, didn't communicate any problems to me, and it caused me a loss. This is a business matter, not a personal vendetta. What we're talking about is some dead houseplants, and taking responsibility for it. It is not any more complicated than that. It hardly seems worth making excuses where there aren't any to be made or making irrelevant accusations about who said what, twisting the truth and casting the customer as the villain. It was an awkward situation made worse by Tamara herself. I accepted the full refund she offered because, by the time she offered it, it seemed the least she should do. She continues to try to make a mountain out of molehill and make me responsible for it at the expense of the truth. That is the only abusive or unfair thing in this entire weird story. It should stop now. I stand by my review. Others apparently have had good experiences with her and her company, and I do not argue with that. I was not so fortunate. I just used Fetch! Seattle North for the first time. I needed care for my 2 cats for 10 days. I loved this service so much! Casey came over for a consultation and I could tell right away she was an animal lover. I got daily reports and pictures. One of my cats is aloof with strangers but she got him to play on day one! My other cat just wanted to cuddle with her all the time. Casey had lots of creative ideas for play and followed all my instructions. I could tell from the daily photos that my cats were doing great. Thanks to Yelp we used Fetch for the first time this week while we took a much needed family vacation. I have a huge, very needy dog who usually travels in my car with me to the coffee shop so he won't have to suffer being alone, and a very demanding cat that bites in an almost friendly way, jumps on my shoulders from several feet away when hungry to get my attention and has extra toes. We have been hesitant to leave our darling babies in all the time we've had our dog (3 years) because of his size and his constant, desperate need for having his ears rubbed. A few months ago we did board our dog at a doggy daycare type place for a few days. He did OK but it's not really his thing. At the end of the two days they had him in the room with the little dogs (all 120 lbs of him) and the "old timers" because he couldn't handle the stress of all the labs running around nipping at his heals. My baby boy just wanted to sleep on the couch. When we picked him up, he was fine on the outside but I could tell two days of doggy daycare hell took a lot out of him. Even though he was happy to see us, I think he was pissed (at least for a few minutes until he forgot all about it). This time we tried something different. I emailed Fetch just a few days before we were scheduled to go (me reluctantly.) We heard back from them within hours and had a sitter scheduled the very next day who would pop in for twice a day feedings and walk the dog if needed. Julie came to the house and met with our brood beforehand and both the dog and the cat took a liking to her (the dog drooled all over her and the cat nipped her once or twice.) I was confident she could handle a dog of his size and neediness and that she was willing to stare into his eyes as much as necessary and tell him that he was wonderful. She took wonderful care of our boys. She sent us text updates to reassure us that all was well, played with them and loved on them (more than we do). I did not worry or lie away awake in the middle of the night watching infomercials wondering about the emotional state of my dog. (The cat is fine but someone has to feed him which can be hazardous if he's hungry and bored.) We returned to find our mail on the table, detailed notes about her visits and walks and happy, happy pets. What more could you ask for? We feel that we might actually be able to go out of town again sometime without feeling guilty. It's an incredibly freeing feeling that I haven't had in all of my years (more than 17) of pet ownership. I highly recommend Fetch of Seattle North and Julie. She was wonderful! read more

We ran into a bind a few years ago around Thanksgiving when our friend was unable to watch our two dogs. I found Fetch on Craigslist and was connected with Amber. She was amazing. Not only did she watch them over Thanksgiving, she was so great with them. She kept us up-to-date with "report cards" and seemed so enthusiastic. Our dogs didn't seem to miss us too much since then. We've used Fetch ever since and I'd recommend them to anyone. Always reliable, always trustworthy, and I feel 100% comfortable with them in my house and with my fur babies. I was paired quickly (within a few days) with someone after requesting private boarding for my little guy (Jacoby). Overall, I was quite pleased with the pricing. Instead of paying $45/night to have him kenneled, he stayed with Ilga in her home for the weekend and at that time, he was the only dog she was caring for. A week before my trip, Ilga came to meet Jacoby at my home, after work, which was so convenient! He warmed up to her almost immediately, which is uncommon for him and strangers. She also came to pick him up the morning I was leaving. I'm not sure if the sitters normally do this, but she went above and beyond to help accomodate my schedule. As much as I don't want to leave Jacoby for Christmas, it will be very hard to travel him. I already have my spot secured with Ilga, so it makes me feel better knowing that if he can't be with me, he will at least be with someone who will give him plenty of Christmas kisses :) read more

I had to find someone to cover our dog walker's maternity leave for 3 months, and let me tell you, it was not easy. I called multiple services and multiple individuals who offered dog walking and I was starting to think it just wasn't POSSIBLE to find someone as good as our current walker. I'm honest, and I told each service/person we contacted that our dog isn't a fan of strangers, and that she barks at you at first (something we are working on with a trainer). MANY people came back to us with a lot of attitude and judgement, ie "Well your dog sounds out of control! What is wrong with her/you??!!" and it was REALLY disheartening. BUT THEN I called Fetch! of North Seattle and it was like the clouds parted, the sun came out, and we found a MIRACLE called Hoapa. She comes over, our dog barks at her for like 5 seconds until Hoapa's amazing charm and dog sense won her over. It was that easy - because Hoapa made it so easy. And our dog looooooooves her, like she's on her "top 5 humans" list FOR SURE. Fetch! made everything about working with them easy, they automatically bill you AFTER the service is complete each week (many services pre-bill you), the cancellation is easy if needed, and they respond SO FAST to email (my preferred way to communicate because I work in an office with no walls). Every single thing about them was easy. I can not recommend them more highly!!! It was actually HARD to go back to our AMAZING dog walker simply because our experience with Fetch! was above and beyond what I ever expected. I was introduced to Fetch by a friend of a friend. I took a chance and tried them out and have not used anyone since. I am very particular with my things and my pets and I cherish my privacy and my home. I have used Clara since day one and I can honestly say she is amazing. We have cameras in our house, which she knows about, and I see how loving she is with my pets. She takes care of the normal stuff but also spends time loving and brushing them. This is important to me when we are gone for weeks at a time. She waters my plants, checks my mail, takes trash out, collects dry cleaning if needed... She does it all. I have used her 4-5 times now and have not had one single problem. She has a key to my house that she keeps and it does not concern me one bit. I totally trust her.
