I've been using Frolic for a few years and evangelize them to every other dog parent! The customer service is excellent. I like that all of their staff walk the dogs in the same manner with the same type of leash; my dog even picked up some better leash manners with them. The overnights are pricier than Rover, but worth it knowing they are so reliable. They schedule the same staff whenever possible. On their app you can leave little quirks about your dog. For example my German Shepherd likes to be chased in circles around the kitchen island, so I usually get a pic of him running away around the kitchen. I was really nervous to leave my big dog with leash aggression but he seems to have more fun when I'm gone than if I never left! Even had one time when my return flight was delayed and they were able to find a last min early morning walker (for a fee which was totally fair). I can't recommend Frolic enough and I am so happy my Rover sitter started working there! :-) read more

Our pup Walter loves his Frolic pals, and maybe gets more excited to see them than his boring family. :) They take such good care of our furry family member, are tremendously reliable, and trustworthy. When we travel and can't take Walter, he stays at home and Frolic friends come stay with him. It's such a great solution, I'm not convinced he even misses us. Beware of unfair extra charges - They charge a $10 rush fee if a walk is scheduled within 24 hours. They continue to charge the rush fee even if the walk is the following day but more than 24 hours after booking. Several years ago we needed a new pet sitting company to step in and they have done so with such care, effectiveness, and great communication that I cannot be more grateful. Nobody can care for your pets quite like Frolic. Unlike some of the dog walking companies in the area, they offer comprehensive training to their employees before they go out in the field. And I'm talking days of training in the field, with a supervisor, along with videos and graded tests. They are very particular about the way to care for their customers and I find that to be quite a relief as a pet owner. Not only do they offer dog walking/sitting services, they can handle anything from ferrets to barn animals! They also provide incredible details to the customer about their interaction with your pet using an app that shows you everything from a mapped route that they took while walking your pets water was refreshed. Yes, they will clean up the BMs and refresh your pet's food/water at no extra charge. The report also includes photos of your pet on the walk as well as a summary of the time spent together. We just got done with our first dog training session with Whitney, and we really feel like we hired the right dog trainer! She is firm but kind, and our appointment was filled with lots of laughs. We still have a lot to learn, but we feel confident that we can get there with the skills we will continue to learn. Whitney has a great presence to her, and I feel like the skills we are learning from her (boundaries and consistency) will translate to life outside of the dog training arena as well. I love how organized Frolic is with their software system and communication. I have hired several other dog trainers over the years for my older dog, and love that Whitney has a non-judgmental attitude towards the various other training methods (as opposed to shaming us for using a certain kind of collar). I took my dog here for dog daycare for several months. I would never recommend Frolic as while under their care, my dog was bitten by another aggressive dog that required immediate vet attention. After it cost me $300 for the vet bill, I contacted the owner. Not only did she refuse to reimburse my daycare cost for the day of the incident (about $29), when he only spent 1.5 hours under their unwatchful eye, she additionally refused to use any of her "liability" insurance to cover my costs when she admitted, "when the dogs are outside, we are not always watching them". I had the city contact her about this, as well as filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau that she again refused to respond. And finally, she stated that the fact that my dog was bit was my own fault for not bringing him to daycare each day with her! read more

DO NOT BOARD HERE! Has gone downhill! Beware of hidden boarding fees! I first contacted Frolic a few years ago upon moving to WA as Frolic seemed like a great option as they were close, with a flexible schedule, and a large number of staff. Dog walking seemed to go pretty well, and they also offered boarding services, which for our first few vacations, worked great. Recently I had my dogs stay with Frolic while my wife and I were on vacation and expected things to go as well as usual. To my surprise I received a message from Frolic On the first day of boarding that I would be charged a extra fee for one of my dogs barking....um, you own a dog business? Why am I being charged for a dog being a dog? I was also charged because Frolic insisted they knew better than me when it came to medicating my senior dog, I had specified proper dosage three times by the time the our vacation was over, and the owner suggested she knew better, and charged me for over-medicating my dog despite repeatedly telling them to stop. Luckily, an overdose for my dog isn't fatal, but for yours it could be! As the staff and the business owner will not listen to the dog parent when it comes to dosing instructions. By the time all was said and done, we could've boarded a third dog for what we paid in hidden fees, which is outrageous because Frolic already charges more than an animal hospital with 24/7 care. Also, these extras are subjective, and therefore non-negotiable. I was of course I was not told about these extra fees until Frolic already had my dogs. Beware, if you care about your pets, please avoid this place at all costs. read more

The BEST dog walking and dog sitting! Frolic has taken wonderful care of my two senior border collies for more than a year. The staff is fantastic, well trained, and are genuine animal lovers. I tried a handful that service my building but Frolic is: PROs: - Office Staff - Quick to reply to requests - Office Staff - Friendly both on phone and e-mail - Reps - all well trained - we've met about 5 so far - Reps - all similarly trained - important for companies like this when the walker gets switched out now and then. Consistency is important for animals. - Reps have been respectful of my needs and requests for the visits. CON: Only 1 so far! That's pretty good compared to most the other services Downtown. - They switched my "primary" walker out only a few weeks into starting a relationship with my puppy and they charged me to "meet & greet" the new primary. Meeting the walks is critical for us and I feel it should be the companies responsibility to let us know meet a person they are primarily and permanently swapping out. I would be happy to pay for a meet and greet if I was the one making the request to meet other Reps. But it felt unfair the other way around. Here was my situation before I found G'Day: I'd have to travel without my dog at least two times a year, sometimes for two weeks at a stretch and the only place I felt 'safe' leaving my dog was at the vet's. However, their kennels were sad - they had the dogs in roomy cages next to each other (albeit in perfectly safe conditions) all day, only taking them out once every few hours to do their business. I had to pay extra for walk-services, but even that wasn't very helpful. My dog would be sad to see me leave and bored during his entire stay. And EVERY TIME I met him afterwards, he'd have put on weight, which I have worked very hard to avoid (yeah, he's a lab). I couldn't leave him with any of my friends because I didn't have him trained enough to be well-behaved. Here was my situation when I found G'Day: Carol did a quick evaluation of his behavior and within minutes had him responding to her commands. I saw her house and the large yards where he could play, the safe, covered (read "guaranteed cool in the summer") shelter and the calmness with which he greeted her other well-behaved dogs after a quick check from her. I saw him behaving well for the first time in my life - and obediently listening for commands. Basically I knew immediately I'd found a better place to board him. Here is my situation, after having G'Day's services for almost a year: I no longer feel guilty planning vacations which involve flying or international travel where he cannot go. He loves Carol's house - and is ALWAYS exhausted from playing when I get him back. When I go to pick him up, he's usually playing outdoors with the other dogs; other times she has him indoors ready for me. If it is a long trip, he even responds to my commands much better...at least for a little bit until I've undone all of her hard work with my lousy parenting! But that's my problem. I am also a customer of G'Day's daily dog-walks. Something that makes me feel much more comfortable working late hours. The G'Day team definitely takes good care of the dogs. We would never go here again. We have needed help caring for our dog while the family travels. We asked our vet and she sent us to Frolic. We have been very pleased. Frolic has watched Calvin, our bulldog, for sometimes up to a week on their grounds. He comes back healthy and happy. Carol and her staff understand dogs. We've always been confident Calvin was in good hands. Recently we were just going to be gone from 10am on one day to 3pm on the next day. So instead of taking Calvin in, we asked for Frolic to visit Calvin for dinner and a walk, followed by breakfast and a walk the next morning. We were really pleased with the detailed notes for both visits including fun comments about Calvin and that fact that they watered our garden and brought in packages from the front porch. Great dog walking service, whenever I have a change to my schedule or an issue with my dogs they are very quick to respond to my messages through the app. Only challenge I've had so for after using them for a few months is consistency, I tend to get a new dog walker at least once a week. They have been great on helping train my dog to not lunge at other dogs, which she has had an issue with her whole life. My walkers are very vigilant of my dogs and will notify me if they notice anything off about them which is greatly appreciated since one of them is a senior. read more

It's great when you can have a friend sit the dog, but the more I use G'Day, the more I appreciate the value of their professionalism and amazing customer service. We first used them after our usual lovely dog-sitter found herself in the middle of a horrible dog fight, and someone got bitten. Not something you'd wish on anyone: and a situation where you really want someone who is both trained for it, and bonded and insured. We asked our trainer, who recommended G'Day. We've used them 5 or 6 times so far and love them - even though they're obviously not as cheap as using friends. They have enough people to fit us in whenever we need them, and they've all been excellent. They leave good notes after every walk and are clearly well-briefed on feeding, care and how to look after the house too, while they're here. (They can also post pet photos to Facebook; nice to see when you're on a trip.) And I was blown away when, earlier this week, I had to make a really last-minute change (I emailed just before 11pm the night before) - and got a reply that night, saying I was all set. I'm quite sure that's not something they want to encourage, but it was pretty impressive. So to us, they're worth every penny. read more
