I've been using Amanda as Henry's weekly activity for 4 years now. She provides a unique alternate to dog walking by taking the pups to different dog parks each week. Dog parks allow Henry to release a much different kind of energy just than walking. Amanda places dogs in "packs" based on size, energy level, and play style. He loves getting to see his dog friends once a week. Amanda also accommodates our ever changing schedules and if a work meeting occurs during pick up she will come into our apartment and get Henry! When we rescued a small puppy, we knew that our working lifestyles would mean that we would need a dog walking service. Seattle Offleash is one of those businesses you don't want to give an amazing review to because you don't want other people to know how amazing it is for fear that it might get so popular that you won't fit into the schedule anymore. But that's super selfish because Amanda is truly awesome and everyone should know about it! Before contacting Amanda I did a pretty comprehensive search of dog walkers, day cares and other park services. What I found was that the day cares were too varied in the reviews people gave. Some people love their doggy daycare, some people's pooches got kennel cough, it's super hard to tell which is the best fit. Not only that, but I'd have to go pretty out of my way to drop my pup off and pick her up. I also worried that though day care is a longer duration, my dog wouldn't be getting much exercise just hanging out in a room with a bunch of other dogs. Amanda offered the best of every world, starting with a super quick response to my intro email and a free initial visit with my dog. From there all I had to do was pick which days Roo would go to the park and I haven't had to worry about anything since. My pooch is out for several hours twice a week and comes home happy and most importantly, tired! I can't thank Amanda enough for being so trustworthy, accommodating and all-around awesome to my pup. I would recommend her a thousand times over - as long as my dog keeps her spot in the pack :) read more

Amanda has serious anger problems. I would not trust her with my dog or any animal if I were you. I hired Amanda for two months before I started to notice that she was always late to pick him up and had several "excuses" as to why Duke was not recieving his full dog park day or the walking times that were agreed upon when we started our service. When I tried to cancel her service she would not let me mail her a check for what I owed her she insisted that she had to pick it up at my house. Our schedules were hard to coordinate and I was late paying by TWO days for $50. Amanda started emailing my work threatening to take me to collections and get attorneys involved. I would definitely advise anyone reading this to not get involved with Seattle Offleash as someone with anger problems like Amanda should not be trusted alone with any animal!! read more

I've now used Amanda's services for 6 months and I'm even happier than I was when I wrote my first review. My dog has had at least one park trip a week with Amanda's pack and has stayed at her house three times while I was out of town. When I get the chance to see my dog and Amanda together I can tell that Pocky loves her, which means more than anything else. Knowing that my dog is happy to be around her sitter/walker is very reassuring. I've never had any trouble with Amanda, she's even been willing to add extra trips by request on pretty short notice. I've found her to be flexible and reliable, and my only experience with Pocky not getting the specified trip duration was when Amanda decided to keep the dogs at the park a little late one day because they were having such a good time. read more

Unfortunately I was only able to use her for about a month because my schedule was a little more variable than I would have liked. After doing considerable research for someone to help with our very young dog several years ago, we identified Amanda at Seattle OffLeash and asked whether we could join her group. After an in house interview to make sure Riley, our English Springer Spaniel, had the proper disposition to join her existing "pack" we signed on with Amanda for daily park runs. During the ensuing five years with Amanda we have grown to completely trust her and she has become a true friend to Riley. She has been both reliable and flexible enough to accommodate our crazy schedule. She has provided valuable guidance on both Riley's health/diet and how to improve Riley's behavior. Riley has become a very well mannered boy largely from the daily interactions he had with Amanda. When I watch them together there is no question that she cares deeply for his well being. We are retiring and moving out of the Seattle area so it is with heavy heart that we say good bye to Amanda and the outstanding care she has provided.
