We came to Seattle for my cousins wedding. Usually our ESA Titan-Dan goes with us everywhere and we had planned on taking him to the wedding with us. But, then I had a better idea and started looking for pet sitters for the day. We found several listed on yelp. Mark was one of our first calls. He was responsive and available. He met us at breakfast briefly to say hello and tell us his plan for the day with Titan and make sure that we all felt comfortable. Titan hit it off with Mark immediately. This is the first time we had ever left Titan with a stranger and we weren't sure how Titan would react. As we pulled away titan didn't even watch us leave as he and Mark were already off to a great start. Mark sent us text pics of their adventure together throughout the day & night and that really made us happy! Mark kept Titan with him and a couple other cute doggies all day and then delivered him to our vacation rental just before we got home. We were cracking up when we found a report card Mark left for Titan with a big red A+ at the top and notes of what they did and how many time he pooped! Lol! Thank God I was able to find Mark because he made my boyfriend and I feel so at ease leaving our 11-month old German Shepherd puppy for the first time. We were going to be out of the country for a few days, and after touring a dog hospital decided we didn't feel comfortable leaving our puppy more or less locked up in a crate all day. We found Mark via Rover.com and he was able to schedule our meet and greet pretty quickly. After meeting our puppy, it was clear they hit it off, so we booked the stay and enjoyed receiving pictures and updates for each day she was with him (Thursday - Tuesday). I would highly recommend Mark as a sitter, especially for any first time pet parents. He is extremely professional and has the calmest, nurturing disposition... a true pleasure to work with. To boot, our puppy went into heat about a week before we were scheduled to leave the country, and Mark rolled with the punches like a pro. He took amazing care of her and accommodated her being in heat. I would give him 5 stars! As an added bonus, I believe having Khaleesi (our puppy) be part of Mark's pack for daily walking and overnight stays greatly helped calm her energy level down, offer her a stable routine, and priceless socializing. I found Seattle 4 Dogs on Yelp and made an appointment to interview Mark almost as soon as we arrived in the city. After talking to him for a while and seeing how well he got along with Moose, we hired him. That was definitely one of the best decisions we have ever made for our pup. Moose looooooves Mark and everyone on his team. They take him for walks several times a week, sometimes solo, sometimes on a pack walk, sometimes on a field trip to another part of the city. It has been so great for him. Having been a country dog, he was so afraid of all of the new city noises and all of the people that seem to always be everywhere. I definitely credit Mark and his team for helping Moose immensely in his adjustment to city living. Mark and company are extremely reliable. I have never had a problem with Moose not getting walked once we've agreed to a schedule. Speaking of schedule, ours changes from week to week, so I usually text with Mark on Sunday evening about which days I want Moose walked the upcoming week. That has worked really well, and on the off chance that I need to make an adjustment later Mark has always been really accommodating. He has even dog sat for us while we were away for a quick weekend and didn't want to leave him in a kennel. Mark came to our home, fed Moose and walked him three times a day. Granted this ended up being a little more expensive then a kennel, but our dog got to stay home and wasn't locked up in a cage for 95% of his day. We recently had Moose professionally trained (that review coming soon!) and to make sure anyone who is handling Moose is consistently reinforcing his training, we asked Mark to come to an in-home training session with our dog trainer. He was up for it and it went really well. Our professional dog trainer also thinks Mark is a great dog handler. Billing occurs at the end of the month, at which time I get an email with the bill for the month and a link to pay online, so convenient. Mark's prices are reasonable, especially when you consider how happy and calm our pup is on days when he gets to go walking. We are so happy to have found Seattle 4 Dogs! read more

My dog has bad anxiety when left alone. After struggling with many other solutions including dog trainers, where he learned almost nothing, and a highly yelp-rated dog daycare center, where he'd bark with fear so loudly every time we even walk by the place, a friend recommended Mark as a daily dog dog walker. My husband and I met Mark about three years ago. At the time we lived in lower Queen Anne. Our dog Ruby is a rescue dog, and is very attached to us. Mark was very gentle and slow with her on their first walk, building her trust just in one walk. Usually vets and groomers have to pry Ruby from us, but with Mark, he is like family to her. About a year after lots of walks and a few overnight stays, we moved to Bainbridge Island. We didn't consider finding anyone on Bainbridge to take care of Ruby when we are out of town. Mark sends lots of picture updates, and it is easy to see how happy and comfortable she is with him. Having Mark care for our sweet dog certainly makes our vacations more relaxing knowing she is happy and safe. Mark goes out of his way to make our lives easier. He has met us at the ferry terminal in Seattle numerous times, helping us cut down on travel time on our way to the airport. This year alone Ruby has seven overnight visits planned, ranging from long weekends to several stays over a week. I don't usually rate businesses, but in my hunt for the perfect people to take my dog out (and people who I'd trust to enter my home when I'm away), I relied on the reviews out there. Mark called me back same day to chat after my initial phone call -- didn't rush the call, was clear on his business framework and didn't make me feel like any of my random questions were off the wall. He came that same week for a meet and greet -- showed up right when he said he would, and spent 30+ minutes getting to know our dog and family. Mark has a super kind, warm personality that our dog and kids quickly tuned into. Today his awesome crew took our (*SUPER* active, 45lb, 1.5 yr old) pup out for his first outing. Talk about coming home dog-tired! Side note: I run our dog 5 miles several times/wk and he still has more in the tank after a run! But today, after having time to smell, socialize, and walk and walk and walk, he's happy to curl into his bed and call it a day. Nutshell ---- Mark's prices fit a family budget, and are better than other services out there. His walkers are professional and look VERY happy as employees. His company vehicles are safe, clean, A/C -- heating, luxury rides for dogs. His concept of leashed dogs at all times seems so much safer than the off-leash dog park walkers (and honestly, I think my dog is more tired today after his 90 min leash walk than he is when I take him to the dog park for 60 min). As a professional couple who have always owned terriers, we have hired dog walkers and pet sitters for over 18 years. I used Seattle 4 Dogs for many months and loved their services! I initially was interested in them for drop in visits for weekend days that I had to work, mostly since their online booking system was so easy to use for booking ahead of time. Compared to using Rover which was a lot more hassle for sending messages/setting up meet and greets with walkers, the Seattle 4 Dogs system was so much more convenient. Once I started using Seattle 4 Dogs for walks, I (and more importantly my dog Sammy) loved them! Mark and his walkers are really great. Sammy would look forward to her Walks with Friends to local parks (and come back home tired), and I would look forward to the photos from her walks. I think Viktor is a dog photography magician, who can expertly take photos of multiple dogs all sitting nicely and looking at the camera. I would share photos of my dog with coworkers and joke that she was having more fun than I was during the day, and it became a thing where they'd ask weekly about new photos from her adventures. There was only one visit where I had a small concern about my dog, and after I emailed about it, Mark promptly responded, looked into the matter, and then personally addressed it for multiple home visits afterwards -- which was well above and beyond what I expected and a testament to the high level of care and concern that provide . The quality of services provided by Seattle 4 Dogs is superb! I am sad that I moved out of their service area, otherwise I would still happily be using them. The dog walker, (not the owner) told the scheduling administrator (also not the owner) lies about her interactions with us so I received an angry email from the company canceling the appointment. She probably wanted the day off or something - took me completely by surprise since I thought she enjoyed walking my dog. Mark & the couple of people he works with are simply awesome. For the past six weeks, they have been taking our beloved golden retreiver out for walks, hikes, and adventures of all kinds. Our little guy is a city dog, so we really wanted him to be around other dogs. These guys have been delivering in a HUGE way! He's happy and exhausted when he comes home. They send pictures of the outings every single day. They leave a report card so we know about his energy level and other bodily functions, again, every single day. Mark & crew love dogs and it shows: Our Milo goes nuts when he sees them coming to pick him up. He can't wait! He absolutely loves Mark! As I wrote, Milo is a Golden, so he's as spirited and energetic as you'd expect. Teaching him to be on a leash has been a good challenge, and we've had some success -- but not around other dogs. Mark & crew really impressed me when I saw a picture of him aside the other (better trained) dogs with an elastic harness -- to keep him with the pack while containing his enthusiasm, at least to the extent that he couldn't hurt himself. Giving these guys five stars seems unfair in light of my other ratings. I wish I could give them six stars. They are superb, kind, honest, and they love dogs to the moon and back.
