We've had the fortune of being able to have Mary take our pup, Buttercup, on walks for the past five years.

Everything is great about this doggy day care with the exception of the smell. The facility smells…read moreas though it hasn't had a proper or thorough cleaning in a while, and I get that it's a dog daycare and it is bound to smell like pee and poop. I do notice employees cleaning after dogs do their business so I don't feel like it's a lack of effort on their part. However, I feel as though it might be a matter of the flooring used? I'm not sure. Other than that I have no complaints. Although, it would be nice to have cameras installed throughout the facility so we could see the dogs playing virtually!

I love Fuzzy Buddy's Dog Daycare, and here's why: DANA! She's funny, authentic, compassionate, and…read moreresponsible, everything you want from a person in charge of a dog daycare. Many adverse things can be said about a place when something unfortunate occurs, especially if the place and people show no accountability around the incident, but Dana did the opposite. My coworker and I drop off our dogs at Fuzzy's, and her pup Dune is a lumbering hulk of an Aussie; he's an oaf that comes from a traumatized background, so when we heard his ear got bit by another dog, and he was bleeding and admitted to the vet, we dashed over from work to check on his wellbeing. He needed stitches and rest to recuperate. We went over to Fuzzy's to find out what happened, and my gosh, Dana was so transparent and responsible, showed us the footage from different angles, took care of the vet bill completely, and even gave Dune a head sock. It turns out that the dog that perpetrated the attack was resource-guarding his food, and Dune unthinkingly went into his "space", which set him off. Dana and the staff were incredibly kind. They walked us through all the protocols they followed and explained how they intend to prevent future incidents. My coworker felt reassured, and I felt like my two boys were in great hands. My dogs are always happy to get in, and Dune, my mate's dog, despite having been hurt there by another pup, is manic about going in. Dana is super helpful and supportive. She also recently noticed that the dogs we leave in her care spell DOG together - Dune, Onyx, and Granite. That's how endearing she is. Definitely go here. They also have the best toys on display.

Excellent experience with Danette. She is helping us train our sweet rescue boy who is 3 years old…read more Danette is extremely knowledgeable and we have already learned a ton after having a virtual meeting and having our first in person session. She has provided loads of information and homework too!

Classes are so expensive. $275. For 5 classes of nose work (not private but with up to 8 people…read moreand their dogs taking turns in the training room one at a time). So approx. 15 mins instruction and training per dog. Class is 1.5 hrs. My roommate paid for the series of classes.. and unplanned she ended up in the hospital Emergency Room and had to have emergency orthopedic surgery. She texted and left a VM that she wouldn't be attending the classes the night before class started and asked to Be refunded the $275. They told her said NO to a refund.Too bad if you have an emergency. Our class isn't full and we couldn't fill the spot. But we will let you pay another $137.50 to sign up for another series in the future. So they kept the initial $275. And my roomie paid another 137.50 to be able to take said classes once she's all healed up and can walk again. They gave her a credit of 137.50 if she signed up to take the classes again. If she didn't there is no refund!! So that is 412.50 for 5 classes at approx 15min of ins time each week. So that ends up being a hour and 1/2 of instruction for 412.50. Holy Crap!! A huge rip off and absolutely crap business management for Dogs day out. Ok and my roomie has worked in the dog business in W Seattle for over 30 yrs and has referred dozens of dogs to this establishment over this years. She is going to take the classes that she paid 412.50 for so she isn't out the full amount she paid. But what a huge crock of doo doo. A poor business rule and my god she had to have emergency surgery. I know for a fact she will never refer another client to them or ever return to Dogs Day out for any classes herself. If I were her I'd also let my dog clients who she's referred to this biz about this if it comes up in convo. About this practise. Whatever happened to professional courtesy between biz owners in the same dog world. Or compassion when they end up having emergency surgery. I for one am really floored by this experience my roomie is going through!!!

For example, our puppy used to pull badly on walks, and would also hit his limit quite early on (like, two blocks) and want to return home. He was so keyed up he couldn't even take treats on walks. I couldn't understand how to make progress. Joyce helped us interpret his behavior, and worked through our endless series of walking aids (various harnesses, head halter, prong collar, various lengths and styles of leash..!) until we found an effective combo. After a few weeks of consistent work, we took our first successful walk all the way to the dog park! I am so excited for our dog's continued progress being a good dog out and about in the world. Thank you for helping us, especially when we were really discouraged.

During our first session, Joyce taught me the basics about dog's behaviors, my role in the relationship, and the power of positive reinforcement with training. She provides a write up after the first session that I've referred to many times in the last few months. I signed up for additional sessions and it is safe to say that Harper and I are better dogs/humans from our time with Joyce. In ~8 weeks, Joyce trained me how to train my puppy and provide the structure she needs, and taught Harper how to harness her intelligence and curiosity for good. We've both come so far, thank you Joyce! I would highly recommend Joyce to anyone.
