Holly owns this incredible gem. I almost don't want to give it the 5-star rave I feel compelled to because I don't want them to get more packed than they already are. She and her staff pay close attention to the dogs; they are genuinely invested in this space and what it offers for our four-legged babies. When I brought up one of my dogs' trepidation and unwillingness to enter the facility, Holly immediately showed concern and acted. Apparently, he had been spooked by the construction noise that had occurred the day before and thus was being reticent the morning after. Additionally, the pups all were fearful of and had reservations with one of the employees, who they only saw briefly and never got to interact with. This disconnect was addressed beautifully by Holly. She said the employee didn't like he didn't get time with the dogs either and that other dogs also felt unsettled by not knowing who he was, and she made sure the dogs got to meet him more, and now all is dandy. It is so refreshing to know that Rocket Dog does everything in its power to care for my pups and my coworker's pup when we can't have them at work. Holly, Isaac, and Carlos are amazing! After rescuing our 3 month old puppy, I visited a few different doggy daycares in the area, and none of the others had the same family feel as Rocket. We wanted to be sure to get her into a place that would nurture her growth, as she had a rough start to life and is working on her confidence. We chose Rocket Dog and I'm so happy we did! After our very first time there, all of the staff knew our girl, Ella, by name. She absolutely loves the place, the people, and the other dogs. They're really flexible as well, and took Ella in for a few days of boarding when we had a last minute family situation we needed to tend to. So helpful! I also love the report cards they occasionally hand out, and the fact that they post videos to their Instagram most days. They're really just a great group of dog loving folks. After reading the reviews, I had high hopes for my dog, Scout, to receive boarding care at Rocket Dog while our family will be away on our vacation to Hawaii in August. He arrived this morning at 7:30 am, and the facility looked amazing. Astroturf in the front yard, a dog trampoline, etc. At 11:00 am, I got a call saying that he wasn't a "good fit." I asked if he'd been aggressive or gotten into any conflicts. The trainer said, no, that he had "shut down" when other dogs approached him to play with him. On receiving his evaluation when I picked him up within an hour from receiving the call, his "report card" stated that his personality was best described as a "teacher's pet" and a "wallflower." He was marked for being "shy" and "anxious." If you have a dog that tends to be either shy or anxious, but, nevertheless, non-aggressive, this won't be the place for you to take your dog. The trainer was knowledgable and helped me to explain that this environment wasn't the right one for Scout. While I had high hopes that it would be the Dog Disneyland I'd read about in the reviews, I ended up with the feeling that my dog had "rushed" for a fraternity on Greek row, and had fallen short of being admitted. Luckily, I've found a spot for him nearby at another boarding center that took him in without any hesitation. read more

We trust them implicitly with the care of our 7+ year old Schnauzer-Poodle (Schnoodle), and he is always in good health and the best spirits when he returns from a stay there. Initially, I discovered Rocket Dog Care when I was searching for a place to keep our dog during our wedding weekend. Reading and visiting other dog care places made me nervous to leave him somewhere. We are so happy to have discovered Rocket Dog Care. They take such good care of the dogs. The dogs get taken to a dog park every day and the place itself is very welcoming to dogs with a whole house for the dogs as well as a huge backyard. In the summer, they even have pools set up for the dogs in the backyard. Therefore, by the time our dog comes home he has had a fantastic day and is exhausted. I now take him their fairly often since he enjoys it so much, and it is such a relief to have somewhere we can trust to drop him off at whenever we need to leave him somewhere overnight or just for the day. We absolutely LOVE using Rocket Dog as our doggie daycare!! Our dog, Roma, started going to Rocket Dog when she was about 4 months old (September 2010). We could not ask for a better couple (Holly and Boone) to take care of our puppy and make sure she gets exercise in a variety of ways. Roma gets to enjoy Greenlake walks, neighborhood walks, backyard play, AND trips to the dog park! She loves playing with her buddies and loves Holly, Boone, Caden, Denali, and Emma so much (and now Jude, their new little addition)!! I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Holly, Boone, and team have been taking care of Louie since summer of '11. Louie was just 8 months old! They have always taken the best care of him and never had any issues or accidents. To show the level of care they have... one time Louie must have gotten a small cut or blister near his nail and started to bleed while they were at the park. I received an email with a description of the situation and a pic showing the problem and asking if I preferred they bring Louie in for the day. It was nothing and he played the rest of the day and was fine. I really appreciated them contacting me and the level of consideration. Louie goes to daycare twice a week and whenever we travel, we leave Louie with Boone and Holly because we know he'll be well taken care of. The cost of their service is reasonable and the service level outstanding. Can't say enough how much I trust them with our little guy! read more

We LOVE Rocket Dog. Our 1 y.o. wirehaired pointing griffon is a 70 lb. bowling ball of energy, and we've been sending him to Rocket Dog 2x/week for the past few months. Everyone there treats him with love and care--and we know they put up with a lot from him. He's even started napping there sometimes, which shows how comfortable he is. Rocket Dog's huge outdoor area is double fenced and super safe, which is our #1 priority. And they are extremely accommodating and responsive with schedule changes and other requests. Let me start by stating I no longer take my dog here, but highly recommend, regardless. I used to live in Seattle proper so RocketDog was close and convenient. I now live in Sammamish, so fighting traffic gets old - hence why we no longer frequent. My pup had been frequenting RocketDog for several years (want to say 5-6?). After moving we even made the trek to Seattle so she could visit because we loved it so much. The thing that sells this place for me is the way they treat overnight visitors. There is a separate 'dog house' where all the dogs and a human(s) sleep. Dogs are not in kennels and feel like they are at home (or close to it). They get to sleep together in an open space on dog beds, human beds, etc. Whenever I traveled out of town I knew my pup was safe and well cared for while I was away. Unfortunately, my pup injured her leg (which required surgery) while visiting my mom's house (of all places). As such, this broke up our routine - she was down for several months and is now just getting back to full speed (she's around 8, so not the young whipper-snapper she once was). I have been searching for options closer to home and saw these reviews so wanted to add mine to the lot. I sincerely believe they take good care of your pet and do their best to make sure everyone (humans and non-humans) are safe, loved, and enjoy their time while there. One note - my dod is leash reactive - totally nutso even just after leaving a place she had spent hours at - once on the other side of the door and on a leash, it's like all bets are off - she's not super aggressive, but for those who don't know her I imagine she can be scary. I mention only because RocketDog knows my animal, handles her appropriately, and never misses a beat. She's always excited to get there (I will say she does have her favorite humans so sometimes more excited about entering depending on who greets her at the door - Sean - you know who you are :)), but she's always happy and tired to come home after a day visit, as well. Great place in my humble opinion. It's disappointing to hear others haven't had the same experience, but if you are looking for a safe, fun, and loving environment for your pet when you can't be with them, I would totally give these guys a try! Our dog Lola has been going to Rocket Dog daycare since shortly after we adopted her from PAWS in November 2016. Unlike our previous dogs I simply could not walk her enough, take her to the dog park enough, entertain her enough or pray for a miracle enough. She simply needed something we didn't have. We searched for a local dog daycare and discovered Rocket Dog. If you know where Dick's Drive-In is on Holman Road, Rocket Dog is about a block directly south, behind the Windorco complex. Each dog gets to be part of the pack. I didn't really become a believer until the third or fourth week when staff said that Lola had developed a ritual of running the periphery of the yard when she arrived and then went about licking her friend's faces. She came home each day worn out and ready for sleep. Her behavioral issues at home dissipated completely after a couple months. The biggest tell however is that now Lola goes nuts about five blocks out from any direction in the morning if we get near Rocket Dog. She can't wait! Chirps, bubbles, barks. She's excited as can be about seeing her friends and being part of the pack. Lola's found her friends, her pack, at Rocket Dog. The staff require an evaluation day to see if your family member will be a good fit with the pack. We love Rocket Dog daycare. We've been taking our dog Ginny to Rocket Dog for over 3 months now. She started as 5 month old puppy and she's loved it every day. The other day when Holly dropped her off, she didn't want to come in the house. It meant the fun day was over! Besides our girl having fun there, what does Rocket Dog offer that other places don't? First, their prices are super competitive. I never saw anyone cheaper. Second, they offer to pick up and drop off, which is incredibly convenient. I am very happy with Rocket Dog and so are my two small dogs-- they start squealing as we drive toward their neighborhood and cannot wait to see Boone and Holly in the morning. It's nuts. Rocket Dog is a family business with very reasonable rates for the amount of work and menu of services that they provide. They limit the intake of dogs for reasonable pack sizes. Amongst other services, Rocket Dog offers an off the leash day care adventure service, so my dogs get to go to their favorite place in the world -- Magnuson off the leash park, and then off Rocket Dog's back yard for more recreation. Holly and Boone work really hard, it's been a pleasure to give them my business, and my dogs love them. The BEST part (for me at least) is the photos they send at the end of the day showing my dogs having fun running with a pack and fetching. I don't have to wonder what happend today because of the reports that they send. Those pictures make my day. Oddly enough the dogs come home very clean (and tired). It's really a great service and a good fit for dogs that need to burn off some steam for the day. read more

Our dog, Dexter, has been coming to Rocket Dog for about a year and half now, and he absolutely loves it!!! He always has SO much energy but on the days he goes to daycare he comes back completely exhausted and sleeps the rest of the day. Holly and Boone have really made this a personal and seamless experience. They come and pick the dogs up in the morning and drop them off late afternoon. They typically take the dogs to different dog parks and make sure they get plenty of time outdoors. There aren't any kennels and they don't keep the dogs cooped up, rather they have converted the house next door into a huge "dog" house where they can walk around, play with the other dogs and sleep on couches and beds. They always leave notes telling us what the dogs did that day, and let's just say Dexter has quite a few friends and gets to swim, play fetch, and run around like a crazy dog. Oh, and as far as price goes, it's very competitive and the same as many other places we looked at that don't offer nearly as much as Rocket Dog does (pick up/drop off, park outings, etc.). I feel extremely lucky we found them and would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone looking for good care for their dogs. read more

Our 8 year old miniature poodle had the best 2 1/2 week boarding stay at Rocket Dog Care. While it's not near our home, we selected Rocket Dog after reading reviews and meeting Holly and Boone and deciding it was worth the drive (an hour each way without traffic!). We are always a bit nervous leaving our little guy after some mediocre-at-best stays at other places previous summers, but this was fantastic and I have peace of mind knowing he can go back in the future and be well cared for. I picked him up after 18 days and he was happy, healthy, and full of energy. He mixed well with both the big and small dogs and had plenty of human interaction too. It's completely cage-free, they take park excursions, there's an outdoor relief and play area so the dogs arent subjected to going inside, and the dogs are always so tired after! You can tell the staff really cares about animals, unlike many of the ones you find in downtown Seattle. My dog would start SCREAMING, wagging, and twirling in the car when we'd get close and bolt straight in. You know they are extremely attentive too; we've ran into a couple of the staff at Magnuson park after not having gone in a while and were so impressed they managed to recognise him amongst the hundreds of dogs. I really like Rocket Dog Care and had been going here for the last two years. I have two rescue pibbles who have been going fairly consistently and rocket dog has been exceptional in helping me with my dogs. Unfortunately one of them was just deemed not fit for the group as she gets very excited and was stalking a dog. My understanding was she was aggravating another dog but there was no harm. While I understand and that behavior is never allowable, I wish I had gotten a bit more of a warning ahead of time since the last couple of times I've had positive feedback when I picked her up and she had only been written up one time about 6-7 months ago. I was rather taken aback when I found out she wasn't allowed back and it made me a bit sad. My older one is still allowed to come but since he could literally care less and prefers to sleep 16 hours a day it wouldn't make sense to take him. Really great staff and owners and they were kind enough to refund my package. I'm just bummed that my dog is no longer a fit and wish there were other options and recommendations provided to me since my dog is actually a sweet dog and just gets overexcited. She didn't have the best socialization when she was rescued and I've been doing my best to get her to a better place. read more
