Kevin is the best there is! I can tell he loves my dogs and I never have to worry when Kevin is taking care of them. I have 1 excitable puppy and 1 sleepier adult dog, and Kevin is excellent with both. Our puppy goes on the adventures with Kevin to the dog park and becomes so excited when Kevin picks him up. It is clear to me that my puppy is looked after at the park, and he always comes home ready for a big nap. Kevin takes my older dog out to go potty when he drops off the puppy, and she becomes so excited to see Kevin as well. I also appreciate that he asks my dogs to sit and be calm before giving them attention. So thankful for Kevin! He is such a dog person, and I have immense trust in him! He is flexible, attuned to dogs, kind, friendly and knowledgable. read more

Kevin is a literal angel. There's no one I trust more than him when it comes to taking care of my Beauregard. My dog lights up every time he sees him, they're buddies! We've been using his services for over three years and he's always the most caring individual who is the best at what he does. During the holidays he even makes and delivers Xmas ornaments with pictures of my dog on them, I mean c'mon how amazing is that?! We love you Kevin! read more

We love Kevin, the owner of High 5 Pet service. Our pup Seamus has been going on Golden Gardens dog park visits with Kevin and his pack for years. Seamus runs to the gate delighted to go on his adventures. And comes back exhausted and happy. I found Kevin by bringing Seamus to the park myself and marveled at his skill in managing all the dogs in his pack. I have such respect for him and comfort in knowing his dog management acumen helps train our dog. The cost is well worth the benefit. During Covid I increased visits to the park to give myself a break and get Seamus the right level of stimuli so I could focus on working at home. If you are looking for a good service in north Seattle Ballard/Greenwood area I highly recommended High 5. read more

I'm updating my review as I have been using Kevin's park services for almost a year. He really is the best dog walker/care taker I've ever come in contact with. I've seen plenty of dog walkers around big parks like Magnuson whom I would never trust w/ my pup ( you know the ones . . . giant packs of unruly dogs that they can't keep track of, and who are totally stressed out b/c they bit off more then they could chew- not cool) Kevin is a cut above the rest. First of all, he takes time to evaluate the dogs he is taking into his pack, and is selective. He keeps his pack at a reasonable and manageable size. He takes care of Finnley as if he were his own (read my first review to see why, you can't beat that). When construction started right next to my apartment & was stressing both myself & Finn out, he offered to watch Finnley while I was @ work free of charge- that's unheard of. Kevin is super responsive to my requests & always follows up quickly. If you own a dog you know when they've been well taken care of and are happy. Finn is always exhausted when I come home from work, which I know means he's had a fun & fulfilling day w/ Kevin & his pack. Plus if your slightly obsessed with pictures of your dog like I am, Kevin posts pictures on High 5's Facebook page, so you can check in & see how happy your pup is. I'm a dedicated customer & highly recommend Kevin to anyone looking for a genuine, honest and dedicated person to care for their furry ones. read more

We love having our dog Theo take park trips with Kevin and High5. Kevin is truly great with the dogs and does a fantastic job with his clients. Our dog does park trips with Kevin, and loves every trip. He is extremely exhausted after his trips which are at least an hour. Kevin does a great job making sure he takes dogs with similar personalities on park trips. We love Kevin's daily Facebook status updates and pictures. Always great to see our pup having a great time. Kevin is extremely professional, the prices are super reasonable, and the billing is super flexible. I totally recommend High5 to anyone looking for a pet service. read more

Kevin is amazing! I highly recommend him and his services. He really cares and it shows.

I can't say enough about Kevin. He's the dog whisperer. We have a newly rescued English Pointer who is fearful and not super confident. Kevin walked in the room and Charlie gave him kisses! I'm not even sure I had gotten kisses yet! I do know 100% that if it weren't for Kevin, Charlie would not be as well-rounded as he is today. Especially in such a short period of time. Charlie is thriving and kevin is a huge part of that. Hire him. You will NOT be disappointed. read more

When we took a rescue dog into our care more than five years ago and needed occasional spot walks when we were out of town, the first person we considered was Kevin and High5 Pet Service. Since we knew him, he wouldn't even take payment the first time we needed him under emergency circumstances and very short notice. We continue to use his services because he is flexible, rates are extremely reasonable and he is a small local business we want to support in our community. Our beast dog doesn't warm up to just anyone, but he knew Kevin was a dog person, has looked forward to his walks with Kevin and comes back happy each and every time. It turns out that Kevin has also walked another dog on our block and those owners loved using him too. I know this from speaking to them directly. I have known Kevin for more than seventeen years, worked with him for ten and have followed his business development since the beginning. I knew he would make a fantastic pet professional from seeing him care for his own dog back when we worked together in a previous situation. He is dependable, trustworthy and absolutely terrific with animals of all stripes. I cannot recommend Kevin highly enough. If you want what is best for your pet, use High5 Pet Service. read more

Kevin is so dedicated to the dogs he takes care of and he really loves all animals. He has a wealth of knowledge about dogs, and knows a lot about helping fearful dogs feel comfortable, and showers them with attention. He is trustworthy and responsible and really goes the extra mile. He lets me know how my dog did that day, he treats my dog like it is his own (she loves him!). I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

Kevin is the guy you want when it comes to caring for one of the members of your pet family. He's got a great energy about him, and we immediately felt comfortable with him. He took excellent care of our dog, Cash, and always gave us a report on how the visit went and how Cash was doing. HIGHLY recommended. read more

I've known Kevin for over 20 years and have always been impressed with his calm, gentle and expert interactions with animals. His advice and assessment of my dogs has been invaluable over the years. I love that he posts pictures of the happy dogs he serves on his Facebook each day. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. I have such great respect for him that I named my current pup after him. read more

You will be hard pressed to find better care for your dog, for both walks/day care and overnight stays. Kevin is conscientious and thorough. You can tell that he just loves all dogs. I don't trust anyone else with my dog. read more

First off, please do not listen to the reviewer Mishey, who could not have characterized Kevin any more incorrectly, and seems intent on simply defaming good businesses. As a pet owner I'm incredibly sensitive to dogs left in cars, but I can say with absolute certainty that Kevin would never allow one of the dogs under his care to be uncomfortable. Moreover, he's one of the gentlest, most thoughtful people I've ever met, and her description of him as belligerent and threatening to sue in no way jives with who he really is. This is a Yelp troll, pure and simple. So let's talk about the positives: I've known Kevin for a little over a year now, and the care he's delivered for our dog has been exceptional. Our dog is part of "the pack" who goes to the dog park 5 days a week. Every day he comes home with a smile on his face. We used to board our dog with Downtown Dog Lounge when we would go out of town, but our dog really thrives on human interaction, and so we began boarding with Kevin since it's someone he already knew and he'd get that personal attention. We trust Kevin implicitly to provide this care and he's never let us down. Many times he's gone out of his way to accommodate us, and we really couldn't ask for a better caregiver. If you're looking for pet care in the Ballard area I can't recommend him enough. read more

I can't recommend Kevin enough - you can trust that your dog will have a great time with him! I have a highly energetic terrier, Gertie, that really needs to burn off extra energy, and when Kevin has walked her I can tell that she has had a work out! I also know because he sends awesome photos and texts of the fun they had during the day (plus, the much needed "elimination" information). He comes by on a set schedule, but I so appreciate his flexibility in taking on extra shifts last minute since my work schedule can be unpredictable. That has been a life-saver. Gertie also has some aggression issues - not the easiest of the dogs in the pack to take on- and it's really easy for Kevin. You can tell he has solid, years of experience of handling and being around dogs. He knows what to do. He's patient, and firm when he needs to be with her, which puts my mind at ease. I was a little nervous when I had Gertie stay overnight at his home (since she hasn't stayed at many other places) and I was so happy to see that she had a great time!! I would highly recommend hiring Kevin to take care of your dog's needs, big or small. read more

Kevin has been taking my two dogs to the park for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with his service and genuine love for my little buddies. Both of my dogs are rescues and they have unique issues due to their past. Not everyone has the patience, knowledge and empathy necessary to connect with them and bring out their best . They love Kevin and I see how excited they are to be with him and how responsive they are to him. It makes my life so much easier not having to worry about them when I need to be at the office all day. Kevin is very flexible to your needs and he makes scheduling and customized programs very easy to arrange. He is also available 99% of the time which is a huge plus. I love that he either picks up his phone right away or calls me back promptly. read more

Kevin was an indispensable part of my dog's life when my wife and I lived in Seattle. It's always so hard to know if you're getting your money's worth with a dog walker, but sometimes on my wife's days off she would see Kevin with his pack in the dog park. He was fully engaged with all the dogs with him that day, and if my dog, Mugs, went over to him Kevin would say hi even though Mugs wasn't with the pack that day. We used Kevin for boarding a few times as well, and he's more than competitive with a larger operation. But with Kevin we knew Mugs was getting individual attention and a park visit every day. Most other boarding facilities will charge you extra for things like walks. As if being an excellent dog walker and sometimes boarder wasn't enough, Kevin and High 5 literally saved my dog's life. Mugs had eaten an entire bottle of Vitamin D that I left on the kitchen counter, which could have killed him. My wife was at work with her phone off, and I was out of town. By texting with me and enlisting the aid of his friend, Kevin was able to get Mugs to a veterinarian and treated. read more

Kevin is the best! He takes amazing care of my dog and loves him. I could not recommend him more!

I trust High5 and Dog's Day Out and that is pretty much it. Seriously. I do not trust people with my dog. Yes, I know he is a dog and not a baby, but that doesn't change the fact that not everyone should take care of animals (or babies for that matter). Kevin is caring, I trust him to have keys to my home and treat my dog like I would treat my dog. 5 stars! read more

Kevin is absolutely wonderful! He's so great with my tripod, Kobe :) and always goes above and beyond! I'm so fortunate to have found such an awesome, reliable dog walker that Kobe loves and I trust! I would recommend Kevin and High5 Pet Service to anyone and everyone! read more

Two paws up for High5Pet. I have a somewhat neurotic big dog but Kevin has great doggie energy and quickly bonded with her. She was happy and tired after every visit. I was also happy with the professionalism and trustworthiness of Kevin. I highly recommend High5Pet even if your pup is a little "special' read more

I recently had High 5 take care of my cat, who has severe separation anxiety when left alone for more than a day. Kevin took great care of Lenny, and even made sure Lenny still took all his medicine. Thanks High 5!!! read more

Kevin is AMAZING! His love for animals is overwhelmingly clear the first time you meet him. We've used him to take our senior dog for daily park trips as well as overnight stays for the last 4 years (which was not always an easy task given she needs insulin shots twice a day). I think she gets more excited to see Kevin than me! We trust him implicitly. He really cares and it shows time and time again. We are moving out of town and will miss him so much, and know we won't find a better caretaker. Logistically, High5 is very easy to work with: flexible, 100% reliable, entirely too reasonable, and his rates are great. You won't find better service, you just won't. read more

I've had multiple dog walkers in the past for my admittedly high maintenance pair of Brussels Griffons. Kevin is by far the best we've had and we can tell he genuinely cares about our little guys. He's reliable, trustworthy, and his fees are very reasonable. He's a good communicator and always updates us if he feels something is up with our boys - whether one of them seems sluggish or potty habits seem out of norm. I would definitely recommend! read more

Kevin has been helping us with our one-year golden retriever for several months now and we are so thankful for him. He' has such a positive, gentle demeanor and he's been such a great influence on our dog. He's super reliable, flexible, on time and always happy to help out with extra stuff. He's a great guy to work with and we would absolutely recommend him! read more

I don't know what I would do without Kevin and his amazing business. This is so much more than a business to him, he loves and cares of my bulldog, Murray, the way that I do. Murray gets three dog park visits a week and looks forward to them so much, that he waits for Kevin at the top of the stairs. Working as much as I do, I love knowing that my dog is having a blast at the park each day, playing with his buddies and I know this because I get to check the High5 Facebook page and see fun pictures of his trips every day. It's super easy for me to change or add how many dog trips I need each week, Kevin is extremely easy to work with and his flexibility is much appreciated. On rainy days, Kevin makes sure Murray is clean and dry before dropping him off. Having a puppy comes with the not-so-cute stuff like the occasional vomit in the living room- Kevin is amazing at keeping me updated on any mishaps and makes sure I don't have a mess to come home to. My life is so much easier because of High5 Pet Services. Kevin goes ABOVE AND BEYOND, I am always relaxed, knowing my pup is in the best hands. read more
