She came across as friendly and knowledgeable so I took her word that she was license and bonded. I gave a key to my house and figured things would be all good. Was I WRONG. I followed up with an e-mail shortly thereafter to get her License and Bond information for my records. No response. Tried another e-mail, no response. Decided to call and find out what was up, no call back. Another call, to get my key back and cancel services - no response. Ended up changing the locks on my house as a precaution. To anyone looking to use her services I would say beware!!!!!

She has ALWAYS been available to pet sit, responds very quickly to texts and emails, and has been very attentive to our pets. On a recent, much longer trip out of the country, one of our cats escaped THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR 4 AM INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. I told Melissa not to worry about trying to find him, but she went above and beyond, canvassing the neighbors, offering to make and post signs, leaving food and water out, searching for this darn escaped cat. She was very concerned and kept in touch with me via email the whole time. The cat DID come back (after we returned, and he was fine), but the point is, Melissa came through in a tough situation. I trust her and would (and have) recommended her!

So far we've had Jordan and Dennis as part of our walking team and boy are they heaven sent! I have a husky and a rambunctious little mutt puppy who's favorite thing in the whole wide world is walks, and boy do these two get each other hyped. Having people be so gentle and understanding with them really means a lot. As wild as they are, Jordan and Dennis have never made me feel like they're too much and I really appreciate that.

When I received their first email telling us that they were taking over Rover I told them NOT to put me in their database & told them it felt like it was damaging trust that they would do this anyways. Since then I have continued to receive emails from them. Fast forward to now, when I decide I will at least inquire into their services...only to I find out they don't even offer overnight stays for cats, only dogs. How discriminatory against cats. What, like cats couldn't possibly need extra in home attention? This is such a common misperception about cats & I am surprised that any company catering to "pets" would allow themselves to buy into that BS.

Since we knew him, he wouldn't even take payment the first time we needed him under emergency circumstances and very short notice. We continue to use his services because he is flexible, rates are extremely reasonable and he is a small local business we want to support in our community. Our beast dog doesn't warm up to just anyone, but he knew Kevin was a dog person, has looked forward to his walks with Kevin and comes back happy each and every time. It turns out that Kevin has also walked another dog on our block and those owners loved using him too. I know this from speaking to them directly. I have known Kevin for more than seventeen years, worked with him for ten and have followed his business development since the beginning. I knew he would make a fantastic pet professional from seeing him care for his own dog back when we worked together in a previous situation. He is dependable, trustworthy and absolutely terrific with animals of all stripes. I cannot recommend Kevin highly enough. If you want what is best for your pet, use High5 Pet Service.

I have 1 excitable puppy and 1 sleepier adult dog, and Kevin is excellent with both. Our puppy goes on the adventures with Kevin to the dog park and becomes so excited when Kevin picks him up. It is clear to me that my puppy is looked after at the park, and he always comes home ready for a big nap. Kevin takes my older dog out to go potty when he drops off the puppy, and she becomes so excited to see Kevin as well. I also appreciate that he asks my dogs to sit and be calm before giving them attention. So thankful for Kevin! He is such a dog person, and I have immense trust in him! He is flexible, attuned to dogs, kind, friendly and knowledgable.

Our experience at Metro Dog was deeply…read moreupsetting, and after several months of taking my dog here on and off (at times, every day) I can confidently say we will never return. Several times after attending daycare, my dog came home with issues that later turned into infections. Each time required a vet visit that cost us over $600. While I understand that things can happen in group-care environments, having this happen several times was alarming. What ultimately made the decision for us, though, was the staff interaction. On one pickup, an older woman who helped me was shockingly rude. When she brought my dog out, she handled him in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable: raising her voice, tugging harshly on his collar, and giving commands he was never trained to understand. Watching him shrink back and look terrified broke my heart. Over time, he began coming home withdrawn, low-energy, sick and just not his happy self. Almost every visit left us feeling uneasy, and it eventually became clear that this environment simply wasn't right for him or any dog. A former staff member who later met my partner even shared that the workplace was full of animosity and overworked employees, which unfortunately aligned with what we had observed. We've since switched to Rover as needed and have had a completely different experience: much happier dog, much better communication, and far less stress for everyone involved. There are countless options here in Seattle! I truly wish our experience at Metro Dog had been better, but for us it was consistently unpleasant. If you value your dog's comfort and emotional wellbeing, I'd recommend exploring other options.

I had to immediately take him to the bath and let me tell you the water was disgusting. This place charges very high boarding fees, charges extra $15 a night for blocks of holiday days, charges an additional $65 if you pick the dog up after lunch time. You may end up paying $180 to board your dog for 1 night so beware. This price does not include walks, the dogs all pee inside in the play pen. For the outrageous fees, you would expect more. It's so unsanitary. I will never again book this place for my puppy. I don't see how they stay in business. The grooming is abosultely terrible. It's shocking, and for the price you pay you would expect it to look semi professional. Each time the dog was shaved down despite asking for poodle cut. I am done with this place, I only went back for convenience but never again. They need some new management, re-evaluate their fee structure or actually hire some people. It was clear as day to see when there was availability, and yes, I was even able to schedule same-day! The place was welcoming and staff were friendly. They did an excellent job on my dog's nails (he has long quicks and usually most groomers don't get short enough out of nervousness cutting the dog). We were in and out in a jiffy! Happy to have found a place nearby with fair pricing and great staff that make my dog feel comfortable. We will be back!
