Wow...what a dud. Thankfully she never got to the point of actually walking my dog! I first…read morecontacted Melissa with Magnolia Pampered Pets looking for a walker twice a week. She came across as friendly and knowledgeable so I took her word that she was license and bonded. I gave a key to my house and figured things would be all good. Was I WRONG. I followed up with an e-mail shortly thereafter to get her License and Bond information for my records. No response. Tried another e-mail, no response. Decided to call and find out what was up, no call back. Another call, to get my key back and cancel services - no response. Ended up changing the locks on my house as a precaution. To anyone looking to use her services I would say beware!!!!!

She has ALWAYS been available to pet sit, responds very quickly to texts and emails, and has been very attentive to our pets. On a recent, much longer trip out of the country, one of our cats escaped THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR 4 AM INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. I told Melissa not to worry about trying to find him, but she went above and beyond, canvassing the neighbors, offering to make and post signs, leaving food and water out, searching for this darn escaped cat. She was very concerned and kept in touch with me via email the whole time. The cat DID come back (after we returned, and he was fine), but the point is, Melissa came through in a tough situation. I trust her and would (and have) recommended her!

So happy I finally made the leap to having Austin and Harper visit Metro Dog. Their trial visit was…read morea huge success and they've both been back for a second visit. As a small business owner myself (Austin and Kat), it's refreshing to see such great care, attention and customer service when becoming a new client. Looking forward to a long relationship with the team at Metro Dog. Thank you for taking such great care of our dogs Kat Donatello ~ Founder ~ Austin and Kat

If I could leave negative stars, I honestly would. Our experience at Metro Dog was deeply…read moreupsetting, and after several months of taking my dog here on and off (at times, every day) I can confidently say we will never return. Several times after attending daycare, my dog came home with issues that later turned into infections. Each time required a vet visit that cost us over $600. While I understand that things can happen in group-care environments, having this happen several times was alarming. What ultimately made the decision for us, though, was the staff interaction. On one pickup, an older woman who helped me was shockingly rude. When she brought my dog out, she handled him in a way that made me extremely uncomfortable: raising her voice, tugging harshly on his collar, and giving commands he was never trained to understand. Watching him shrink back and look terrified broke my heart. Over time, he began coming home withdrawn, low-energy, sick and just not his happy self. Almost every visit left us feeling uneasy, and it eventually became clear that this environment simply wasn't right for him or any dog. A former staff member who later met my partner even shared that the workplace was full of animosity and overworked employees, which unfortunately aligned with what we had observed. We've since switched to Rover as needed and have had a completely different experience: much happier dog, much better communication, and far less stress for everyone involved. There are countless options here in Seattle! I truly wish our experience at Metro Dog had been better, but for us it was consistently unpleasant. If you value your dog's comfort and emotional wellbeing, I'd recommend exploring other options.

I've had dogs my whole life but I now have a dog that has long, easily matted fur for the first time ever. The very first time I brought her to Citydog, Brooke told me many good practices to keep her mat free between grooms. I've been back to her countless times and she always does a great job. It's the reality of all long haired dogs that they need to be combed and brushed daily at home. Although I don't do a great job of keeping up with this maintenance between grooms, I'm so grateful I can trust Brooke to help reset my dog's fur whenever I come in. She always does exactly what I ask for and tells me which areas I need to pay more attention to when I'm brushing her at home based on where the most of her mats were. I used to live in Ballard but moved away about 2 years ago and haven't been able to find a groomer who does as good of a job as Brooke.

I had to immediately take him to the bath and let me tell you the water was disgusting. This place charges very high boarding fees, charges extra $15 a night for blocks of holiday days, charges an additional $65 if you pick the dog up after lunch time. You may end up paying $180 to board your dog for 1 night so beware. This price does not include walks, the dogs all pee inside in the play pen. For the outrageous fees, you would expect more. It's so unsanitary. I will never again book this place for my puppy. I don't see how they stay in business. The grooming is abosultely terrible. It's shocking, and for the price you pay you would expect it to look semi professional. Each time the dog was shaved down despite asking for poodle cut. I am done with this place, I only went back for convenience but never again. They need some new management, re-evaluate their fee structure or actually hire some people. Greedy owners will do theirselves in.
