Erika has been watching my cats for years!!! I have an old man cat, Lemmy who needs a little extra care. She always makes sure he gets his meds and his play time. Erika and Sophie of the Motley Crew have been walking my corgi, Sputnik, for the past 1.5 years and I have absolutely zero complaints. My boyfriend and I work pretty crazy schedules so Erika or Sophie take Sputnik out for 30 minute walks Monday - Friday in the afternoon. Most importantly, Erika is 100% reliable. Though 1.5 years of experience working with the Motley Crew, I can say with absolute certainty that if I schedule a walk, Sputnik will get walked. Additionally, I feel no hesitation or apprehension about Erika having access to my home. She and her crew are trustworthy and have never led me to believe otherwise. In addition, here are a few other awesome things about the Motley Crew: - Easy Payment: I have used both Venmo and Chase Quickpay to process payments. Its never an issue. - EXTREMELY Flexible: I have had to cancel walks the night before without a problem. All I have to do is email or text Erika and she has always responded WITHIN AN HOUR (even on the weekends). Further, I recently hired a house cleaner. Sputnik, hates the vacuum. When explaining this to Erika, she was 100% committed to figuring out a way to coordinate schedules with my cleaner so Sputnik would be out of the house during the vacuuming. She takes care of our rat terrier Maddie for park trips a few days a week and overnight boarding at her house when we go out of town. Maddie loves her! She is happy and exhausted when I get home on park days. It relieves all my guilt for working late knowing those are her favorite days. Erika posts photos from park days on facebook so I can see what Maddie was up to. She also leaves a note and gathers the mail. This year we did construction on our house and Erika climbed dirt embankments, snuck through our neighbors yard,and jumped over drying concrete to get to Maddie. All with no complaints. One time after dropping Maddie off from boarding her for 5 days, I didn't respond to her texts for a few hours. Erika was so worried we didn't make it home in time, she came back over to check on Maddie. Erika is reliable, flexible, easy to talk to and clearly loves dogs. Sometimes I worry Maddie would rather go home with her, but hey, that means Motley Crew is the best choice we could have made. read more

Motley Crew Walking is everything I could have hoped for in a dog walker. I broke my leg over the summer and really relied on them for help taking care of my Corgi Pixel. If you need a dog walker these are absolutely the folks you should contact. - Both Jason and Erika obviously cared a great deal about Pixel and had a great relationship with her. - They were very responsive and attentive to any schedule changes I needed. - They post photos daily to Facebook and Instagram. Some of the best photos I have of Pixel were taken by Motley Crew. It was immediately obvious how much fun Pixel was having every day she went to the park with Motley Crew. - They leave a note each day about how that days walk or trip went and noted whether Pixel went potty. They graciously pointed out any behavior problems that arose with Pixel (excessive barking a few times etc. ) - I loved that they went to Dr. Jose Rizal Park. It is one of the few 'nicer' off leash parks in Seattle. There is plenty of space to run around and much of the park is still grass and fields. Many of the other off leash areas in Seattle are just dirt and mud. read more

First of all, I do not easily give 5 stars to anything or anyone. That said, Erika has been walking my Jack Russell Terrier (Sophia) for about a year and half and she is an absolutely AMAZING dog sitter/walker. I have a busy grad school schedule and my terrier needs more exercise than I can give her some days. Bottom line, I never feel better than when Sophia is with Erika at the dog park. I know Sophia is in excellent hands. Why you should call her ASAP to get started with Motley Crew in my opinion: ----Erika is FLEXIBLE. She lets me set my schedule at the beginning of each week and even tries her very best (usually succeeding) to fit me in at the very last minute if I run into a schedule problem. ----Erika leaves notes for me when she gets home about the day in a journal, provides her own poop bags (those things are expensive!), and posts pictures of the dogs so you can see what they are up to. ----Erika is RELIABLE. I can count on being communicated with carefully and honestly about my dog as well as Erika's flexibility. She always answers inquiries in a timely fashion. ----Erika's services are AFFORDABLE, especially considering that she spends 3 hours with Sophia when she takes her to the park, which is totally worth the cost. ----Lastly, I just TRUST her with the most precious thing in my life, my dog. I know that she really enjoys and appreciates Sophia, which means the world to me. She is tried and true and I highly recommend her services. read more

We had a terrible experience. We found Motley Crew to be pretty unprofessional; the issues ranged from driving by and seeing Erika texting on her phone rather than walking the dogs to how bigger issues were handled. At the beginning of our having our French bulldog, Taco, walked by the Crew, he got bit bad enough to have bleeding. Erika told us this is because our dog was "anxious" and "not used to other dogs" but our dog had been spending every day prior to our move to the hill in the big pen at Downtown Dog Lounge and gets along GREAT with other dogs.It has literally never been an issue. We attributed this injury to getting used to the group and let it go. We were overall not that thrilled with how things were going but our next door neighbor has their dog walked by Erika and we have periodically taken care of their dog overnight so we decided to stick it out since it wasn't great but it wasn't horrible and it made life easier that the two dogs were doing the same thing. A few months later, our dog had an eye injury on a walk with Erika that required vet care and antibiotics and turned out to be a big deal. The vet ended up kind of confronted me about Taco's situation. She knows our dog well and told me she felt since Taco is not aggressive and is very social and happy, these injuries indicated that the situation he was in was unsafe for him. I moved him back to Downtown Dog Lounge even though that is logistically not ideal for us and he's back to his happy, social, injury free play. The only reason I had switched in the first place is it is so convenient to have someone come to your house and pick up your dog and tire him out and drop him back and for 20some bucks per, a pretty good deal. When I discussed these issues again with Erika, she again attributed the injuries to Taco's being "anxious" and never once discussed or considered that the group of dogs weren't having enough control or supervision. She never did or said anything that reassured us that she was making sure Taco was safe nor did she seem apologetic. Really the opposite was true. Cherry on top: Erika charged us $15 to return our key. Even though she lives 4-5 blocks from our house. Even though she walks the dog next door several days a week.Even though she had a leash and notebook to pick up. Really. Bottom line, if your dog does well in the car with 7-8 other dogs and if you really love seeing your dog on instagram, this may be a fit for you. For our dog it was a little more like Lord of the Flies. read more
