This review is long overdue, but I can't express how big of a blessing Darrin was to me and my beloved German Shepherd, Stella. He came into our lives when we were new to the city after some difficult life changes, and immediately made me comfortable with his knowledge and ability to manage the special needs that my sassy girl required as a larger and not-always-cheery GSD. He's a fabulous communicator, not only with updates on walks and caretaking, but with the local community. He's got a HUGE heart, and builds genuine connections with his canine and human clients :) Not only was he easily able to bring out the best in Stella, but she absolutely fell in love with his incredible sidekick Apollo :) On the hardest day of my life, when I had to unexpectedly say goodbye to my sweet girl, Darrin didn't hesitate to come and spend time to say his final goodbyes. Even though she was fading quickly, she perked up the second she knew he was in the room, and it made my breaking heart soar with joy seeing first-hand how much they loved each other. I am forever grateful for the deep connection and loving care he provided for Stella, and should I have the good fortune to bring another furbaby into my life, I know exactly who I'll be calling :) Thank you Darrin! read more

Darrin has been walking my dogs for a year. I hired him because I had an elderly Akita and a young puppy. My elderly Akita was not always cool with other dogs, and Darrin has special skill and experience with challenging / aggressive dogs as well as elderly dogs. He's very caring and connected with my dogs quickly. He walks the dogs around the neighborhood in small groups rather than the common practice of picking up a large group of dogs in a van and driving them to a dog park. The end up spending a lot of time in traffic. What Darrin does is nice because it means no time in the car, smaller group, and more attention. I emphatically recommend. read more

Darrin and I first ran into each other as neighbors walking with our dogs. My dog Reggie is a high-energy, friendly guy who immediately took interest in Darrin's dog, Apollo. I asked Darrin if he could walk Reggie with Apollo as I felt he needed more practice walking in a pack and could really benefit from being around Apollo's more mellow demeanor. I was so impressed by Darrin's experience and seasoned handling skills. Reggie is a very excited and happy boy, but he's also incredibly strong so I'm careful with who I ask to walk him. It has been such a relief, not only to give myself a break in the routine, but to know that I can place my trust 100% in Darrin and that Reggie is enjoying his walk with his friend, Apollo. Scheduling is easy, Darrin is quick to respond, and it's always a joy to chat as well. Thank you, Darrin! read more

Darrin has been a real gift to our senior dog Manny. We also have a young dog, so the two have very different needs. Darrin has helped us make sure that Manny has his own time, and walks at his own pace. Manny is pretty much blind and deaf, Darrin is so kind and loving with him, we are incredibly grateful to have found Darrin. Darrin has also been so patient with our younger dog that is quite people shy, but with Darrin's gentle persistence she now loves him too. I really cannot recommend Darrin enough for his kindness, love for dogs and reliability. Lastly, he has been an amazing partner to us in tracking how Manny is doing, it has been really helpful to us for monitoring Manny's quality of life, including his physical comfort. read more

Darrin has been walking my Labrador Retriever Monday through Friday for the last 6 years (at least, I've lost track of time...). Anyway, he has been terrific, very conscientious, very helpful, thoughtful and fun to be with. He was a great help as she developed some hip issues and was there when she passed. I'll always be grateful for his care. read more

Darrin has been walking my dog on and off for a few years. Last year I brought him on full-time when I knew I'd want some extra help. He's so loving and kind with my dog and is flexible when I need to change a day, time or location. I am a dog mom. She is my baby and I can honestly say I trust Darrin, and I don't let her go with just any one. Sometimes we just need a break from the routine especially now. I still walk my dog most days, but appreciate having help and I'm sure my dog loves going out a little extra, at a different pace with someone else. Lol! After all, we are quarantining together. read more

Our recent rescue dog Toby is good with dogs but very scared of people - especially men - and busy surroundings, so we hired Darrin to walk him together with his other dogs. Within a few sessions Toby was not afraid of Darrin anymore and he now enjoys his neighbourhood walks with his new gang. Darrin is very patient and understanding, which helped Toby come out of his shell. He even took the time giving Toby extra cuddles & attention after the walks, to build trust. Having Darrin walk him mid-day also gives us peace of mind knowing our dog gets enough exercise & mental stimulation. He's a reliable dogwalker, flexible to adapt to changing schedules and also super nice person. If you want personal attention for your dog and not just someone who rushes from one job to the other, I would highly recommend him! read more

My husband and I used to live next door to Darrin. He watched our cat several times and we were always very happy. It was such a relief to know she was well cared for. Darrin starting walking our dogs years ago, when our rescue dog needed a lot of attention and socialization. If you love your pets like they are family, you want someone like Darrin Frazier helping you care for them. We hired Darrin to walk our beloved Puggle Samantha 2 days per week. After meeting with Darrin, we instantly felt comfortable giving him the keys to our home and trusted him to give Samantha exercise and care while we were at work. He was loving and affectionate with her, and Samantha grew attached to Darrin and his wonderful dog Bella in no time. Sam was an older dog and did not always warm to other pets in our home, but she was always calm and comfortable in Bella's presence. Samantha died tragically and unexpectedly in October 2009. Darrin was incredibly supportive and kind during a time of great sadness for us. I can't recommend Darrin highly enough to be part of you pet's life. read more

We are so happy with Darrin, and we trust him completely with the keys to our home and with both of our dogs. He takes such great care of our furry boys. Our neighbor recommended him to us, and he has been walking our boys twice a week for the past few months. One of our dogs was having accidents in the house once every week or two. Having Darrin there to walk them mid-day has helped so much. Our accident-prone guy has only had one accident since we started the mid-day walks. Most importantly, our dogs adore him, and they are better behaved when we get home since they get exercise during the day. We are very thankful and recommend him highly. read more

I use 2 different dog walkers -- one dog walker takes my dog out with pack groups with 8 or 9 other dogs (to large open areas) and she is awesome!!! My dog loves the groups. But for one-on-one attention I use Darrin Frazier, and he is also awesome. He really understands dogs and temperaments, and he loves what he does. And my dog loves him!! I've seen him with a lot of different dogs, big and small, and he knows how to handle every situation. He's the perfect dog walker for dogs that need one-on-one attention, that are better going out in groups of 3 or smaller, or that are mostly home bound but need to be let out for pee breaks. He's super friendly, very respectful, and very informative. He has a key to my place, he's stayed here for pet-sitting when I've been away for extended periods, he's an excellent dog and house sitter, and I can't say enough good things. Love Darrin and Paws 4 Love!!! read more

Darrin has showered my girl with love. While adorable, she is not a perfect angel. I have complete confidence in Darrin handling her with her dog aggression. Darrin has also been flexible with us around our needs, accommodating last minute changes. He is great to work with. I recommend him, especially if you have a strong, willful dog who may have some issues. read more

Darrin has cared for my French Bulldog for the past four years. He is a fantastic dog walker and a very kind, caring person. He really loves each animal that he cares for and gives one-on-one attention. My dog is a sweetly stubborn dog and requires special attention, something Darrin has always been happy to provide. When she doesn't want to go outside (which is a lot of the time!) he will play with her inside instead. Darrin has keys to my home and has taken care of my little gremlin for years. He is very trustworthy and thoughtful. There's always a light on for me when I get home, even when I forget to leave it on myself. Oh, and his dog Bella is a sweetheart! My dog loves chasing her and receiving those big Bella Kisses. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Darrin to anyone. read more

Darrin is so good with my difficult disabled elderly pug, Angelina Jolie. She adores him, and instead of barking when she sees him -- like she does with almost everybody -- she squeaks with joy! We are so lucky to have found Darrin! Our rescued Chihuahua, JD, is not always great with strangers, but he quickly grew to trust Darrin and now loves his walks with him. Darrin is always on time, flexible with our hectic schedules, and is even kind enough to bring in our packages when he comes to walk JD. He gives us peace of mind that our boy is well taken care of when we are at work. Can not recommend enough! read more

Darrin is super awesome with the dogs, very gentle, caring, and very protective - the most important things in pet care. As far as engagement with the "client", he's a bit more of a challenge as he's not flexible with you and more than usual levels of drama, not the reason why you hired him--to help make your life easier. I would recommend more of a "customer first attitude" to him as an improvement for his business. read more

Darrin is the best! He's been a wonderful dog walker, and I've had him visit Lola (my rat terrier) pretty much almost every work-day since I got her. For over 1 year, he has been a complete professional in providing me with dog walking services. He's always gone above and beyond, and in addition to walking my lil one he has also dog-sat her even with short-notice. Lola loves him, and you should see how excited she gets to see him. Darrin's incredibly flexible, caring, and responsible. I say hire him, and you can thank me later. read more

Darrin is a great dog walker. He is very affectionate with our dog and gives him his full attention on the walks. Our dog Kelev (a lab/pit/collie mix) adores him. As disturbingly overprotective pet parents, we are inordinately picky about who we're going to leave our two cats with on the rare occasions we actually go anywhere. Leaving them with Darrin means we can be confident that they'll still be there when we get back, and they won't even have torn the house up. That sounds backhanded, but no, they really are demonic little balls of energy/fluff, and Darrin deals with them expertly. We wouldn't trust them with anybody else. read more

Darrin has been caring for Mancha for over 3 years now (through good and bad). When my Manch ripped through my apartments cheap walls for a "great escape." Darrin noticed her on the street, quickly called my office and kept her safe till I could get back home. During a busy work period for me, Darrin acted as day nurse following my pup's abdominal surgery. Although people friendly, Mancha has issues with many dogs. After trying SPCA's "Growly Dog" classes, turned to Darrin who made gains in a matter of weeks. This effect seems most pronounced when I used Darrin for daily walks. This fellow has keys to my home and has provided fantastic overnight sitting read more

Darrin has been walking my 10 year-old female black lab for the past year. It is a relief to have a caring dog walker whom I can trust. He takes her out mid-day when I'm at work. This guy is unbelievable! Darrin been taking care of my Golden Retriever for over 6 years. He walks her almost every day. He treats her like she is his own dog. He takes her to the vet when I can't and has even picked up prescriptions for me. He has stayed overnight with her at my home. I trust him with my home and my little girl. She is the most precious thing in my life. I wouldn't trust her with just anyone! When I'm on vacation with Bela, he calls to see how she is doing. If we run into on the street, she runs over and cries because she is so happy to see him. He constantly checks in with me and even gives me recommendations for her health care. I would highly recommend Darrin to take care of your dog. read more

We've now worked with Darrin for several years, and he's been an absolutely wonderful caretaker for our dog. We are so thankful that we found him. We've worked with several other walkers and Darrin is by far the best. Our 6 year-old English Cocker Spaniel absolutely adores Darrin and loves spending time with him. Darrin is extraordinarily professional -- he is reliable, trustworthy, and always goes the extra mile. Here are a few ways Darrin stands out as the best: - Darrin is incredibly flexible and a great communicator (with people and dogs). - Recently, it was raining heavily and Darrin took the extra time to put out towels on our couch to protect it from muddy paws. - Darrin dog-sat for our dog and took amazing care of her. He kept us up to date with how she was doing throughout. My wife and I couldn't recommend Darrin any higher. He is a gem! read more

Darrin was a great dog walker for our 2 small pups while we lived in San Francisco. He accommodated our schedules and treated the pups like they were his own. Darrin has been great with my two dogs (one about 5 lbs, the other about 50). He loves dogs large and small, and has provided great walks for them together. They always come back with a big smile on their face. If you prefer that your dogs are not walked in groups with other dogs, Darrin is the right guy for you. He has also been incredibly flexible when I travel or have long days, and need some last-minute care for my dogs as well. When I work from home, he is quiet when he picks them up as to not disturb my conference calls. He is considerate of neighbors, my apartment, and of course the dogs. He loves on them, happily suggests and discusses training ideas and will follow any training instructions you ask him to work on with your dogs. Darrin always makes me feel like my dogs are in safe hands, and that he really cares for them and me. Two thumbs up! read more
