It just occurred to me that I have never left a review for Seattle Canine Solutions. Shame on me!! Sharon helped me years ago and I still thank her (in my head) every day for teaching me how to be the best 'Pack Leader' to my best friend on four legs... Nola (The Wonder Dog)! Nola rescued me when she arrived at Seatac (from a Texas shelter) back in 2013. It was obvious from the start that my sensitive girl had been through some tough times and I was going to need some help in figuring things out. Sharon was incredible, right from the start! She taught me how to be patient and understand Nola's behavior... and most importantly, how to react and 'check' my own behavior. Sharon taught me so much in such a short period of time. Although Sharon, Nola & I haven't met 'on the regular' in many years, I still call on her when something pops up. I also like Sharon a bunch (as a person) & consider her a good Pal! So... in short, SHARON ROCKS! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to be the best Pack Leader they can be... and a little bit more :) read more

We met with Sharon once and think she is AMAZING! She has invaluable experience and advice, and we can already tell that she will make a huge difference in our lives and our dogs lives. We adore our pups and see that we can all benefit so much more from positive reinforcement/ training. Our pups have been stressed on our City walks and we are optimistic we can enjoy this and much more with the right tools and training. We just adopted a sweet rescue after losing our much older dog and Sharon is gonna help us and our other sweet dog have fun and be a family. She is that good, we trust her and are going to take all of her suggestions as it means so much to us. Seriously...look at these two... we are lucky that they already love each other...now we just have to ALL be better behaved! read more

Sharon is incredible. We had done basic puppy training with our first dog and about 1.5 years later, welcomed another rescue into our family who was a bit older (9ish months) and has had some territorial/aggression issues. While he had been doing fine, my wife and I were expecting our first child and wanted to devote some time not just to prepare for kiddo but also just give the dedicated training and attention for both dogs that was a bit overdue. Sharon was great - super detailed and great at explaining her methods and helping assess our situation and the different personalities and approaches to both our pups. We had our initial visit with her and had at least 3 follow up appointments - getting homework and things to focus on after each and giving our dogs the best situations and opportunities to be comfortable and succeed in what we were working on with them. She loves dogs - obviously, but her patience and care toward our pups was beyond what I expected (even for a dog trainer). I would highly recommend her to anyone with any type of dog training needs or situations. read more

I wish I would have reached out to Sharon sooner! Sharon came over for a new puppy training session with my 11 week old Aussie Doodle - June. Although I read two "how to" books prior to getting my pup I was overwhelmed with where to start on all fronts including crate training and obedience. Sharon took the time to ask me what my short term and long term goals were for training June. She walked me through a really solid foundation on where to start and took the time to explain the "why" behind her recommendations. She course corrected a few things I was doing wrong and most importantly June LOVED her :) It's now been a week since we saw her, I've definitely noticed the tips we put into practice working. Ex. -My dog was "digging" in my leather couch, Sharon recommended we find a place on our walks that is her designated digging spot. Since doing that, I know my leather couch is saying thank you :). But seriously the digging has gotten better every day the more we practice with the outside spot. -Crate training hasn't been great, I did it all wrong at first. Sharon gave some great advice on how to make the crate feel awesome for June (other than just putting treats in there) and again, I've already seen a difference in how June feels and interacts with and in the crate. Anyways, Sharon is awesome at what she does! And my dog thinks so too!! read more

We adopted a young female pit mix named Alice who is the sweetest dog on the planet but extremely prey-oriented outside. My wife and I have both had dogs much of our lives and we figured we knew enough about them to deal with Alice's "over-enthusiasm" at the end of a leash. But we brought in Sharon to give us some tips that we might be missing... and boy were we missing them, as it turned out. She is fantastic. Told us a bunch of things we didn't know, explained Alice's behavior really well, and gave us very practical solutions to help modify her bad manners outside. She's a very smart dog and learns fast, and using Sharon's techniques we saw a major difference within a few days. And that was with just one session! We're continuing the training sessions with Sharon for a while to make Alice a well-behaved canine citizen. Anyway, the short version: Sharon is a lovely person and really knows dogs. She's a great trainer and we had a lot of fun learning from her. read more

I needed to get out of town for the holidays and all of my usual cat sitters were doing holiday activities and I wanted someone that I knew would make it even if there was bad weather. Sharon over at Seattle Canine Solutions (SCS) was the right choice. After a brief consultation about the special diet that my cat Jake needed, I felt super comfortable with leaving SCS to do the work. While I was gone, SCS even sent me photos of Jake over email which was fun to see. SCS is definitely going to be my choice the next time I need some cat watching. read more

Sharon is the very best dog walker and trainer. I've had her do a walk and train with two dogs, and I've also had her do supplemental training. Particularly with my new puppy, Sharon has done so much more than take my dogs for a walk -- she's helped address behavior like biting, barking, and jumping up on people. Sharon's also really helped with socialization. Every time I take my puppy out, I can see improvements in her comfort level with traffic, the monorail, and lots of different people. Sharon's also a great resource for training issues. I've had her come when I needed some additional advice on how to tackle different behaviors. She's even responded to texts with advice when I've had questions. And then I know she follows up during walks to reinforce the issues we're working on. A final note: Sharon sends me a text with a picture of my pups every time she comes for a walk. Her pictures are great, and it's so nice to have a regular stream of new pics of my pups. read more

Looking for the ultimate canine trainer, sitter or walker? Try Sharon at SCS. She speaks the canine tongue and that is why my dog Rudy loved her! Sharon watched my dog while I was on vacation a handful of times. I wouldn't use anyone else ever again... Seattle Canine Solutions understands the importance of who your pet is and just how much they mean to you. SCS comes highly recommended - They're the best of the best, hands down. read more

It's been a tough few months for our very sweet, but very anxious, border collie cross. We moved him from off-leash heaven outside of Boulder to an apartment in Capitol Hill. And now he lives with a cat. Plus, we've been traveling all the time. All this added up to a situation where our dog wouldn't leave the apartment without cowering in fear. Sharon has been a priceless resource in helping us help him adapt to city life. We've taken advantage of many of her services including pet-sitting, walks, general training and feeding advice, and help with dog-cat introductions. We've been so happy with all of them. The dog took to her immediately (rare for him), and he's always thrilled to see her, even though it usually means we're leaving. Every time we come back from a trip he's relaxed and happy, and knows a new trick. She's so positive with him, and about him, that it's really eased my mind about this transition. I can't believe how much more relaxed the dog seems already, and while I'd like to take credit, I know it's mostly due to Sharon. She's been great with the cat, too. Other reviewers have mentioned this, but I too want to emphasize that she's the perfect blend of caring and professional. Obviously, she does the basics - always on time, never misses appointments or has scheduling snafus. She's also extremely flexible and reliable about picking up and dropping off keys, sending invoices, etc. She texts us photos of the pets when we're away, and once sent us a little video clip of him jumping through hoops. It's wonderful to have something in life go so smoothly. read more

Sharon is amazing! We are so happy to have Sharon in our lives and taking Casper on weekly walks. He is much calmer and even our neighbors have remarked how good she is with him. Highly recommend Seattle Canine Solutions. read more

Our two dogs means the world to us, and one has a separation anxiety issue, so I was very worried about them when I went back to work outside of the house. However, after seeing Sharon with our dogs, I felt confident in the decisions and knew they would be in good hands. It was obvious from the get-go that this is not 'just a job' for Sharon - she sincerely cares about my dogs and her evening emails with suggestions on how to help them be more comfortable in the car, or help our dog deal better with her separation anxiety, showed me she was thinking about them and their well-being on her own time. It was such a relief to see how well they took to her, and they clearly look forward to her coming by each day! Sharon has never missed a day of dog walking for us. She has been 100% dependable and 100% professional. I am impressed by her canine training schooling and professional resume. This is not 'just a hobby' for her - she is a trained professional in training and dealing with pets. She has even indulged me by sending a picture via phone each afternoon of the dogs playing, performing tricks, or just snuggling up. This provided me with piece of mind and a smile every day. Sharon's compassion for animals and their owners is what makes her stand apart. I could not speak highly enough about Seattle Canine Solutions and recommend it to friends (and strangers!) on a daily basis. If you want the best for your little furry loved one, Sharon is your girl. read more

Sharon from Seattle Canine Solutions is great! She is very knowledgeable and approachable. She definitely knows her stuff! We did the puppy parenting class for our shiba. Everything that Sharon taught us has been effective. If you need help with your first puppy, I would highly recommend her! read more

Sharon truly understands dog behaviors, and what they stem from. Her training and sessions are no frills, straight to the point. Our little guy had been roughed up by a few specific big dog breeds as a pup, which brought some fear aggression towards certain large breeds. Sharon takes a step by step approach, going on walks with us and identifying behaviors, breaking them down to determine focus areas. Our pup still has some way to go, but has made strides since meeting with Sharon every few weeks. We also understand so much more about canine behavior, body language and potential triggers for our dog. They sometimes say that the trainer trains you as much as the dog, and Sharon has 100%. I have learned so much meeting with her. Her patience and understanding have led to a few referrals from me as well - I'd recommend her to anyone. read more

We feel so lucky to have found Sharon . It was last minute and we had just gotten over a bad experience with another dog walker. When we met Sharon, we could tell right away that she was professional and highly experienced. We loved how she interacted with our dog. When we were gone she sent us great updates with photos that were super adorable. Our dog had her tired happy smile on her face in the photos so we know she got great excersize ! It was so nice to not worry while we were gone. I would recommend Sharon to anyone looking for a pet sitter / walker / trainer . She is awesome ! read more

Sharon is awesome! As a new dog mom, of a sweet (yet spazzy) little rescue dog that lacked basic training - and barks his head off at other dogs, I didn't really know what to do with him when I first got him. A friend recommended Sharon, and so glad we got to work with her. She gave me a great foundation to start with, and very handy - easy to do exercises to help work out his various issues. I highly recommend her! read more

Dog on good people and excellent service, comfortable for our pooch.

**** DISCLAIMER: This review is not in any way shape or form - allowed to interfere with my Sharon time!!!! ***** I am the ultimate high maintenance dog Ma. I love my fur-kid with every ounce of myself, we've been through a lot together. Over the years, I've always had a friend watch/walk her when I could not, but friends have failed me and I decided it was time to take the stranger danger plunge :) I sent emails to a few different places and long story short - Sharon's response was the most personalized and sincere. We both loved her immediately and having her around has been LIFE changing for me. I can plan trips without worry and have a little less stress in my super busy day to day life - which is exactly what I needed. I love the text pics she sends (with adorably humorous captions ;) and am no longer left wondering if my girl got fed and fussed over in my absence! Sharon sincerely cares about animals and wants to make a difference in not only their lives - but the lives of those who love them most. Don't let the fancy blogs and supervision cameras of other companies sway you to think that makes them better (I almost made that mistake). I know my girl is in awesome hands when she's with Sharon and I feel super blessed to have her in our lives!! read more

Sharon at Seattle Canine Solutions is a pet whisperer, more so Pekashu Whisper. I called Seattle Canine Solutions at last minute to watch my dog overnight and she happily obliged. Not only did she come over right away to get her, but offered to take her before she saw me leaving to avoid any separation anxiety. She was very thorough and asked all of the questions a concerned dog mother likes to be asked. My pup also has territorial issues with other dogs and she offered while in her care, to work on that. She told me the threshold that upsets my dog around others and how to work in this. All in less than a 24 hour period. Her training intuition is spot on. Also recently I wrote to Seattle Canine Solutions Facebook page about a vomiting bout my dog was having and she responded immediately with care instructions. 1 day later and no expensive vet bill, SCS came to the rescue. Im so happy we have her to care and train for my little monster! I highly recommend Sharon at Seattle Canine Solutions. read more

I left Seattle about six months ago and was only really sad about having to leave SCS and Sharon behind, after almost a year of the incredible service and care she provided me and my Yorkipoo. I travel and move a lot, and before finding Sharon, I had always used doggy daycare facilities in other cities -- you know, the ones where the dogs come home with goop in their eyes or something? After moving to Seattle and working with Sharon, I swore to only use at-home dog walkers and sitters, because of how much happier and calmer my dog was when I'd get home. I figured, surely I can find someone else in the country who can come close to the quality of service Sharon provides? Even if they are only half as good as Sharon, it will still be better than boarding. Boy, was I being optimistic! Since leaving Seattle, I've worked with dog sitters/walkers in two different states, and none of them have even come close to the quality of care that Sharon provides. Everything from Sharon's attention to detail, to her customer service, knowledge and style of training, and genuine love for her job is unbeatable. It's truly depressing out here, folks! Count your lucky stars that you have Sharon! read more

I was lucky enough to find Seattle Canine Solutions on Yelp, and based on all the great reviews I enrolled my dog Butters into the private training. The course was great! Sharon taught me everything I need to know to train Butters to be a great dog. She is very professional, she is fun to work with, and she is really amazing with dogs. I would heartily recommend the course to any dog owner. I am looking forward to using her other services as well! read more

Sharon did an in-home New Puppy Parenting class for our family and it was so helpful. She's great at explaining training and helping us to understands how puppies see the world. We have so much more confidence now as new puppy owners! read more

We started using Sharon about a year ago. With my very busy work travel schedule I needed someone who can spend time with chloe while I am gone and make sure she gets the exercise she needs. Sharon has been absolutely amazing with Her! She is very accommodating with my busy travel schedule and Chloe seems to love her. We highly recommend Sharon. read more

We recently relocated to Seattle and I sent Sharon an inquiry regarding her services for our dog, Riley, a rescue pup who is nervous around new people, especially in one on one settings. Sharon went above and beyond in her response to us. She assessed the description of Riley and provided some great recommendations for care options that she thought sounded like the perfect combination for Riley - including a few that were other providers offering services she didn't, but that she knows well and trusts. It's been nerve racking trying to pinpoint the right people to trust your dog to in a new city, and Sharon has helped greatly in that process for us. So, while there may be other care options better suited for Riley (dog park adventures, etc.), even from short email exchanges it is quite obvious that Sharon is extremely caring and knowledgable and someone we hold in high regard in the Seattle area. read more
