We discovered Cat Ladies about a year and a half ago and have used them any time we're gone for more than a weekend. I've definitely noticed a difference in my cat - he used to be grouchier and clearly upset when we would return home from longer trips. Now, he misses us but he doesn't seem like he was distressed. ABOVE AND BEYOND EXPECTATIONS! My husband and I usually have a friend look after our two cats while we're away, but this time we were leaving for 8 days and felt we needed a more professional option. Jackson and Hallie had their first meet and greet with Heidi a week or so before we left town and it went really well. We chose to have Heidi and Coco come twice a day because our cats are really people-loving and get sad if they are alone for too long. It was comforting to know that our cats were being played with, fed, petted, and talked to while we were away. While I am sure they probably do a decent job usually, I will probably not use this service again. Anyone thinking of using a sitting service should have hidden security cameras. We used this service a few times over the past year or so, but didn't have cameras. We had cameras put in about 6 months ago for other reasons, and I am glad we did. The 3 things that irritated us the most were...1.)Two of the visits were only 13 min long, should be around 60 min 2.) Rummaging through our stuff, such as refrigerator and change bowl. 3.) The sitter barely spent any time with our cat, but instead sat around on their phone. That was the hardest part, seeing so much lack of attention. On top of that, they said they were spending quality time together, etc..., but the camera said otherwise. So disappointing. read more
