We've been going here semi-regularly for many years. For the price, 4 stars is reasonable. They have the best "salad for two" I've ever had - simple, fresh ingredients:: romaine, carrots, red onion, tomatoes, awesome fresh cubes of provolone and the best Italian dressing I've ever had. And the tomato bread is excellent. The entrees are good, but not great - love most of the pastas (spaghetti with meatball and sausage and linguini with white clam sauce are both excellent), but some of the meat dishes are underwhelming (like the chicken francese and the veal parm - just good) - I'd probably give 3 stars for the entrees, but the salad pushes it up to 4 - in fact, the salad is the biggest reason we go there. Pizza is pretty good (wife loves the flatbread pizzas). Service is fine and atmosphere is standard small mom/pop Italian. read more

Well, we came her for lunch, with some coworkers. This place isn't a sparkling restaurant, a little dingy inside, but there is table service. The menu is pretty decent, personal thin crust pizzas, sandwiches, entrees, etc. It all looked great. I ordered the sandwich (can't remember the name) with Broccoli raab, prosciutto and sharp provolone cheese. A coworker ordered a Cheese steak, but instead of american cheese he wanted provolone, the server said that they don't have it, but she will check with the cook, if it comes out with provolone then they have it, if not...sorry. I didn't say anything because I was curious about my results. The food came out, My sandwich came out with spinach, prosciutto and SHARP PROVOLONE, my coworker got American cheese. Womp. It doesn't really make sense, but it's not totally surprising. Anyway my sandwich was delicious, I would have preferred broccoli raab for the added crunch, but it was great to add a sauteed veggie to a meat and cheese sandwich. The bread was super fresh too, so no complaints there. Everyone loved their personal pies and sandwiches and the bill with tip and drinks came to about 11/person, which isn't bad at all for a sit down meal. Ferraro's Restaurant and Pizzeria I go because friends of ours like the place. It is okay, the thinny think pizza is good, food is okay. It is a BYOB and having the liquor store across the street makes for convince. Nothing I have had stands out but I have not had anything bad. "Okay" is where I stand on this place. I am shocked by any bad review of this fantastic restaurant. We stopped to get a bite off highway. Both of our dishes (flounder in sauce and an eggplant tower) were better than any Italian food anyplace, including far more expensive meals inBoston, Nee York and Italy. We love Ferraros! I can't believe anyone would give them a bad review. I came back from spending almost a month in Italy and went straight to Ferraro's to eat!!! It's the absolute BEST Italian restaurant around! We go there almost every Friday night because the staff ALWAYS makes us feel welcome and treats us as royalty. This is a solid citizen place that always has consistent food and a large menu selection. Chicken, veal and calamari are always tender and veggies flavored well. Pasta is never over cooked. I always come here when working in the area. I am surprised it's not more busy for lunch. read more

We have lived in the area for close to 15 years and have never tried Ferraro's until now. We went with two other families and the food was very good. The pricing and portions were also decent. I give the restaurant 3 stars mainly because of the atmosphere. It definitely needs updating and the wait staff could be a bit more friendly. If the owners got those two things in check I would raise my rating to 5 stars. We would frequent this restaurant again with our family because the food was so good but hope they do some updating inside. read more

This restaurant is amazing! Great people and great food. It's also BYOB, which is a huge plus. The canoles are delicious. And the pizza is my favorite in new jersey. Everytime I come here I have a good time, my time here is filled with laughter and good food. I can see that all the staff work hard. They are polite and well-mannered. This was seriously not good. You walk in and everything feels old and dated. Wife's tortellini alfredo was a mess. No seasoning on the grilled chicken, watery sauce, mushy tortellini. Just gross. Tried to save it with some salt, pepper and cheese, but had to throw most of it away. The deli meats in my sandwich were bland, and the bread was terrible. Honestly, it was all bad. Had most terrible experience in this place tonight. We came with 4 kids from 2-4 age old, had to put 2 tables together ourselves. Nobody brought us silverware or napkins ,we had to look around to get some ourselves. After we got some salads, we were informed that pizza will be little while. After 45 min waiting we find out ,that pizza was not even made yet. I could not get anything from anybody , except " we're busy if u don't want it we can't take it off from the bill"(where they expecting me pay for pizza ,i didn't eat?!) This place is a BYOB! Their house salad is to die for in fact I have ordered take out just for it. Their bread is fantastic and everyone is treated to it. It is a converted cape cod so it gives an at home feel. The service is also a mom and pop feel so you will not be rushed for sure. The food is delicious. Stopped in late on our way back to Baltimore. It was obvious that they were working on getting the last remaining customers out the door to end their night, but they made room for us so we could have a quick bite as we were starving. The bread that came out was warm and tasty. Then the calamari was crispy and cooked just right, but the sauce was pretty special with the chunky tomatos. The seafood special was good, a bit overcooked as it appeared to be sitting for a while, but not bad considering how late in the night it was. The chicken parm was cooked perfectly and pounded so tender I could cut it with a fork. The broccoli rabe was very garlicky, but very bitter which to me means that similar to the seafood special it had been sitting for while and become overcooked. The service was good with the local flair. I greatly appreciate them serving us as we strive to go to local owned places vs. chains to support family owned businesses. read more

Ordered a number of items, the pizze was dry and old. The meat lasagna had very little meat and the noodles were overcooked, the sauce is so so. Despite the mediocre reviews on Yelp I decided to give Ferraro's a try. Should have trusted the reviews. I ended up ordering a large pepperoni calzone and my friend ordered the penne vodka. Both were pretty bad. Although I ordered a large calzone what I got was this skimpy little undercooked piece of dough with hardly any filling. The sauce that came with the calzone literally tasted like a plain can of crushed tomato with absolutely no flavor and very watery. My friend said her penne vodka was both bland and watery as well.
