MKC is the best residential contractor I have worked with in my 30 years of home ownership. MKC employs a process with heavy emphasis on planning the work up front followed by quality execution by the craftsmen. Scott (owner of MKC) honestly strives to land each project with the highest quality work done at a reasonable price. My project was mainly to remodel a kitchen and master bathroom. Additionally, we removed two walls (one load bearing), replaced 1/2 the house windows, addressed two different legacy structural issues, replaced fireplace, all interior doors, all baseboard and trim, all flooring and about a dozen other upgrades (add ceiling fans, add additional door, replace garage door header, toilet in 2nd bath, etc.). Basically, I received a new house. The work was completed in a little over 4 months as planned adding time for the new scope and structural issues. The cost was as expected. MKC costs were nearly exact to expected. Material costs were higher than planned due to our selection of materials vs assumed. The quality of the work was outstanding whether it was by MKC employees or subcontractors. I highly recommend the MKC team for a kitchen or major home remodel.

I have PTSD from others doing bad, work or being lazily and unfair. I can honestly say it was a pleasure working with them. Of course we had normal problems that had nothing to do with them but they were patient and understanding. We Interviewed 4 different companies and no one was interested in us unless we could spend our life savings. I stopped in quickly to grab a jar of their Gravy Base - we use it every year for Thanksgiving. Staff greeted me soon after I entered, asking if I needed any assistance. I didn't, but appreciated the offer. The gravy and other Thanksgiving items are conveniently and beautifully displayed near the entrance. I did quickly tour the store - fun to shop with the eyes! Over the years we've purchased pots and pans, wine glasses, dish towels, and more kitchen/dining items from them. That reminds me...my dish towels need a refresh! You want someone who doesn't bullshit you. You want someone who is kind of like a Sherpa guiding you. Here is my personal experience: We had an outdated kitchen that was not up to code. I used to love to cook but I'd come into the kitchen and quickly wanted to step away. So I initially went to Home Depot thinking ok great they have everything in one place! Because I'm not a DIY nor have any knowledge in this I felt half way through that I needed a bit more direction. I work 12 hr days and wanted someone who understood what I wanted. But what's interesting about a remodel is sometimes it's beyond your imagination! Green Bay had a 3D model which they tied into appliances and helped to see how the kitchen would look! Noy also had tips and tricks and advice along the way. But here's the thing - it isn't always butterflies! In any relationship there is misunderstanding, impatience and a difference in communication. Noy knows his shit. You just have to trust that. July 6 was demolition. sept 11 we moved all our stuff back. Now I just walk into the kitchen and just stand and breathe and thank Green Bay and Noy for being my Sherpa to the Mount Everest I call kitchen remodeling. The repairman, Jay, called to let me know when he would be to my house and he arrived at the expected time. Jay quickly determined that the ignitor was no longer functioning correctly. He had the required part with him and had it installed promptly. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, my guests were convinced that they still smelled gas. Jay made a second visit and was able to demonstrate that the oven was working correctly. I very much appreciate the fact that Jay came back to verify. Contact with this business can be confusing because they have several different locations. They will get back to you and I have confidence in the company. I am very pleased with the service we received from Jay and I now know who I can call with any future appliance repairs.
