Big shout out to Ari and team for a great job on our bathrooms. I was delighted with the results and they came through and handled any questions and challenges that arose during the project.

Chris E.

Green Bay does high quality work, provides excellent communication, fair pricing and at all phases exhibits a remarkable level of INTEGRITY! I've just finished a long and major remodel...doubling my home's square footage, replacing the roof, siding and basically all the plumbing, gas and electric in the home. I added not only a beautiful new kitchen, primary suite, open floor plan living room with accordion glass doors looking out to big beautiful deck with views straight to Mt Tam, but also added some great future flexibility with a beautiful new 1br1ba ADU. In a project of this size and scope, there were probably 10,000 details and they nailed probably 9,950 of them right out of the gate. Zack, Danny and their team were always clear and available in communications and extremely prompt and responsive in all interactions. We put more time into the design stage, than a lot might have, in an effort to reduce Change Orders (always bad for a budget). And it really worked well! They provided ideas in the design stage that turned out to be surprisingly important in the end...seemingly innocuous things like shower layout, trim pieces, window sizes/orientations, flooring wear layers, etc. I was super involved in the project at all stages (my choice), which they allowed and seemed to value rather than be annoyed (as I've seen in the past). During the project, I had two friends who are also contractors come by for a visit. Both of them (different occasions) kept commenting on some details that I didn't recognize...but that indicated what great attention to detail Green Bay was providing. Any project has changes to make once you get into it. We decided to redo all the siding on the home to match the new portions instead of blending original 95 yr old redwood siding. They provided me with a clear cost/benefit analysis (better longevity, can put it retrofit earthquake sheathing, more consistent look). I opted to add on to the budget and am so glad I did. What is so surprising (and wonderful) is how few changes there were to the scope and budget. The siding, a little foundation repair and some additional hardscape/concrete we added were the ONLY increases to the budget. Including those Change Orders, authorized by me in advance, and explicitly added to a very careful and clear contract, the final project came in only 10% over budget overall. That is just unheard of in the industry. (The Town of Corte Madera, on the other hand, tripled the permit fees and costs they predicted up front.) What I've described above is enough to say that Green Bay is an excellent choice in contractor. But the real kicker is the integrity. When Danny made a commitment, he honored it. Again and again and again. PG&E really screwed us over on the running of the new electrical line, forcing us to dig a trench in a particular area for them to lay the new line...and twice they got it wrong, requiring us to fill the trenches and dig again (lots of dirt moved, rental of equipment, many man hours) three times instead of once. Surely this was beyond Green Bay's budget. But they didn't squawk at all. They just took care of business and got it done correctly. As a result of all that digging and filling, our front no longer was the same...so I took the opportunity to do a lot more concrete hardscaping (adding a carport and planter to the already planned new driveway). This was my idea and they helped me refine the vision, offered a very fair price for the extra work and then adapted well to implement it. Everyone who comes to our home gushes about how beautiful it is. I beam with pride and feel so lucky to have found Zack and Danny at Green Bay Remodeling to make our dream home a reality.

First weeks... prep, demo, and electrical! It's fun seeing the team work, you could tell they love the work.

It's been four years coming and we've finally made the big decision to remodel our home. Thankfully, Green Bay Remodeling is along for the ride. Two weeks in and our little home already is showing potential. There's full confidence with Noy and Isaac helping manage the project, while Francisco and team exhibit professionalism and expertise that only comes from years in the trade. There's not enough to say about the personal touch that Noy and Isaac have offered us from the moment we first meet them. Noy even showed up with a big teddy bear for my daughter to keep her warm as she stayed home for a few sick days. There's a long road ahead and much adventure and challenges to meet, and I'm looking forward to updating the good work that Green Bay Remodeling will achieve for us! All thanks, Jose and Alida

We hired Green Bay to remodel our guest bathroom. The end result is stunning and it looks 2x bigger than it did before we started. If you only care about the end result, stop reading now, look at the pictures, your job will look great. For those who want a bit more detail. Things did not go as expected and the job took much longer than anticipated. Some jobs are just that way. The worst offender was a grout job gone astray. We had to rip out the tile and start over again because it was mosaic arrowhead with all kinds of tiny grout lines. That led to delays. It takes time to get tile and bring in a new tile team. Unfortunately that meant it butted right up next to a two month vacation. So, we stopped for two months. When we returned I don't think our job was really on the schedule as it should have been done months before. We got a trickle of work here and there until our project manager, Joseph, switched out the team. This may sound like an experience that you wouldn't want to repeat, but anyone who has ever dealt with contractors will want to know this. 1) When the grout looked bad, even when the tilers said they thought it looked good, Green Bay never hesitated to redo the job. 2) I have very exacting standards and I'm sure there were days when our project manager wanted to throw me out the window, he never did. He responded to me at 9pm, on Sundays, and showed up to look at every detail. 3) They finished every last thing. I was abandoned by a contractor on the last mile in the past. Instead of washing their hands of the job, they doubled down and sent out a new crew to finish. 4) Over the course of the job we learned what needed to be perfect and what might have been better to just leave be. The problem with construction when you work from home is that the minute they are done you can't help but go look at every last detail. Sometimes, it just doesn't matter. I believe I will be a better client the next time and I believe that they will be better contractors. You will receive the benefit. I am giving Green Bay four stars because it wasn't perfect and I think it would be disingenuous to give five. That said, what really matters is that they did live up to the expectation they set "if things go wrong they will do everything in their power to correct it."

In response to Avi. You do not sound professional insulting the "condition" of our house. And it's irrelevant considering the bathroom was gutted completely to the studs - so all the internal work, walls floor etc was done by your team. Also only one of these pictures is an "in progress" picture and that's the chevron tile one. The others are what our bathroom looked upon completion. The nightmare of Green Bay has continued for us. A few months in we started to smell mold in the bathroom after showers and decided it was time to get a second opinion about the cracking grout and peeling caulk. Please note our bathroom is less than 2 years old and Green Bay's General Manager ZACK ILINETSKY said this was a normal part of the "house settling" and would not fix it when we did the final inspection. Since we learned our lesson, we had an actual licensed tile professional take a look. He confirmed our worst fear that the current issues are definite signs of failed waterproofing. Once again the whole tile job needs to be ripped out and completely replaced. I hope our project manager DANNY LEBOWSKI sees this review and is ashamed of his team's horrendous workmanship and what he has put us through. Obviously we will not allow Green Bay a third attempt to fix this. Once we can afford a redo, I hope the third time is a charm and I'll finally be able to enter my bathroom without feeling sick to my stomach. In the meantime Avi, you are welcome to get our contact info from Danny and come see the workmanship in person.

A rite of passage for new homeowners is to deal with a major repair. Less than a year after moving in, heavy rains led to water from outside making its way inside without invitation. Noticing some damaged wood that was likely to blame, we called on Nelson to help. Of the various contractors we solicited for quotes, Nelson was the most through and punctual. And throughout, Nelson and team were reliable, communicative and provided expert work for a job which started as a "minor" siding repair but expanded (to our dismay) in scope as increasing amounts of rotting, structural wood from the previous owner was uncovered. Although it was disconcerting to see how much damage we would need to address, Nelson was sympathetic and assured us that it would be straightforward to fix and advised on a couple of different approaches, which we agreed to. His team arrived on time every day and worked around weather conditions to perform carpentry, waterproofing, and offered continuous updates. We also hired Nelson's team to paint afterwards, and are very happy with the results. By the end we started dreaming about other projects or repairs we could accomplish and started getting his feedback on those as well! One thing we learned is that it's necessary to make sure the discussions are thoroughly documented-we had a couple of misunderstandings about what was included or not after verbal discussions, which we either resolved through the contract, or realized after the fact that it was something discussed but never written down so we let it go. But making the agreement itself was a breeze, and Nelson is good humored, flexible and was easy to work with at all of the stages of the process. We would certainly work with him on future repairs.

We had architects and cabinetmakers working remotely from LA, countless change orders, unexpected delays due to surprises hiding within our house. Through it all, there was never a moment when we questioned our decision to hire G-Family. Our architects, who are close friends and have exceptionally high standards, had nothing but praise for the entire team. I've always believed a great company starts with the values of its leadership, and G-Family exemplifies that and trickles down to every employee. Their patience, kindness, fairness, integrity, organization, and attention to detail were second to none. They treated our home as though it were their own. They're also exceptionally knowledgeable about mold prevention, building materials, and minimizing exposure to potentially toxic products. For anyone concerned about creating a healthier home, this level of thoughtfulness is invaluable. Dany, our project manager, was truly the glue holding everything together. There wasn't a task too complicated, a person too difficult, or a problem too overwhelming for her to handle, always with a smile! She navigated some incredibly stressful situations with what felt like magic, grace, and professionalism. If you're lucky enough to work with Dany, you're in exceptional hands. Jon Grabham, co-founder and our supervisor, is one of the kindest, most patient, organized, and fair people I've ever met. He's incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in making sure we were happy with every decision. His integrity and leadership are reflected throughout the company. Our architects were particularly impressed with Juan, their talented tile artist, who embraced our unusual designs and challenging installations with enthusiasm rather than frustration. He genuinely enjoyed the challenge! Walter, their electrician and resident lighting wizard, has the patience of a saint. He's been with the company and close to the family for decades, and it shows in the trust, camaraderie, and communication among the team. We also hired G-Family Landscaping after disappointing experiences elsewhere, and they were equally phenomenal. Across both projects, the team consistently researched solutions, sourced the right products, and found excellent subcontractors for our many special requests. When you're investing this much time, money, and emotion into your home, you want to do it once, do it right, and work with people who have integrity. G-Family delivered on every level. Even during moments when I panicked or thought something was going terribly wrong, they met us with patience, reassurance, and solutions. I've come away believing that just about everything is figureoutable when you have the right people by your side. We're endlessly grateful for their expertise, care, and for turning a daunting renovation into an experience we'll remember with genuine fondness. WE LOVE OUR HOME! Thank you, G-Family!

After interviewing multiple contractors, G Family stood out immediately as the only team that came on site, dug into the details, and worked to understand our intent--not just replicate the designs. Their honest, up-front pricing was a major differentiator. We received a clear, comprehensive estimate with everything included, while other bids had many "TBD" items that weren't part of the real number. When I factored in those gaps, G Family was very competitive. They were also incredibly collaborative in helping dial in the details: when certain elements exceeded our budget, they provided practical alternatives and helped create a phased plan so we could add features later. Execution matched the planning. Communication was clear, updates were frequent, and when inevitable snags arose, they took the time to explain options and trade-offs. They even diplomatically guided me away from a bad design choice using their experience--absolutely the right call in hindsight. They also handled HOA-required changes without billing extra or anything like that. G Family isn't the cheapest, but the value is worth it. They were accountable, invested, and genuinely treated the project like it was their own backyard. Beyond the craftsmanship, they're just great, down-to-earth people to work with. Our once-underutilized yard is now a beautiful outdoor living space we use every day. I highly recommend G Family Construction!

BACKGROUND: We wanted bookshelves installed above a built-in cabinet unit in our living room. I sent Jitendra a sketch and described what we wanted. While measuring, he flagged all existing flaws in the space (uneven/slanted walls) so that we were aware of all inconsistencies upfront. He has amazing attention to detail! RESULTS: We were simply blown away by how well he was able to match the custom shelves to our existing unit; all of the wood looks like it was manufactured at the same time!
