The quality of the finished work was exceptional. The refaced cabinets are beautiful, the new island came out beautifully, and the quartzite fabrication and installation look terrific. The new cabinetry where the appliances had been blends seamlessly with the rest of the kitchen. There was also some plumbing that needed to be redone along the way, and they took care of that as well. We especially want to recognize a few people. Ivan, the cabinet maker, did beautiful work. There were a lot of details in the cabinetry that mattered to us, and his craftsmanship and attention to those details really show in the finished kitchen. Manuel and Luis, who did the painting, were terrific as well. They were careful, meticulous, and clearly took pride in getting everything just right. In fact, that was our experience with the crew in general. Everyone who worked in our home was polite, considerate, accommodating, and as unobtrusive as you can reasonably be while tearing apart someone's kitchen. Whenever something needed adjusting or redoing, they took care of it and kept working until we were happy with the result. The one area where the experience could have been a little smoother was communication about scheduling. Since we stayed in the house during construction, it would have helped to have more advance notice about who was coming and when, and the project did take longer than we originally anticipated. But those were small inconveniences during the process rather than problems with the finished work. And the finished work is what we'll be living with for years. We couldn't be happier with it. The craftsmanship is excellent, the kitchen is beautiful, and when something wasn't quite right, they made it right. Five stars.

So many have terrible experience with home building and remodeling projects, I felt the need to pass on a really positive experience. Bachelder Fine Remodeling (Mark Bachelder and Associates) came recommended to me by another builder (who was out of town when I needed work done) and I have to say that working with Mark Bachelder was truly a wonderful experience. My home needed ancient and rotting deck beams replaced and Mark and his team were great. Their work was top notch and they clearly take pride in their work. As I learned, Mark does full home remodels as well as any aspect of a home that needs remodeling, upgrading and/or updating and Mark will definitely be my 'go to' contractor when I need that, too. There is no question to me that the replacement beams and the new posts are going to last for the next 60+ years! Things that stood out to me after years of other experiences: 1) They knew what they were doing. This is not Mark's first rodeo and you can tell. He not only cares about functionality, but he also cares about the aesthetics of his work. 2) His company is Green Building Certified specializing in energy efficient construction - in the business for 38 years. 3) The estimated time to complete the project was on time! (I know, what a shocker, eh?) 4) Price was reasonable and fair 5) I needed another small project done while they were here and Mark got his team to complete that job while they were on site. 6) Mark's team were the nicest guys who cared about craftsmanship. 7) Mark and his team are local to Marin, so they showed up on time each day. 8) THEY CLEANED UP after themselves! They left the space in which they worked clean and free of trash. Since so many seem to have bad experiences with their construction/remodeling projects, I wanted to pass on a truly positive experience.

After a previous remodel that turned out well but was incredibly stressful, we decided to make the switch to Reliable Home Remodeling--and we're so glad we did. The entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The project was completed on time and on budget, and when the inevitable surprises that come with remodeling popped up, Igor and his team handled everything seamlessly. One thing we especially appreciated was having the same crew in our home every day. They were consistently kind, respectful, clean, and incredibly efficient. The quality of the craftsmanship speaks for itself, but what really set this experience apart was Igor's communication. He was responsive, proactive, and on-site every single day--a rarity in the contracting world, in our experience. We always knew what was happening and felt confident every step of the way. We're beyond happy with the results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Reliable Home Remodeling. We're already looking forward to working with Igor and his team again on future projects.

We had an excellent experience with Reliable Home Remodeling & Construction from start to finish…read more We have decided to remodel our kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry room, and reface a fireplace. Like any major project, we started by reaching out to a couple of contractors to get quotes, that's where we met Igor, the owner of Reliable Home Remodeling & Construction. What immediately stood out to us was that he created a vision and solution we wouldn't have ever considered. The other contractors we spoke to didn't provide any ideas, they just asked us how we wanted it. Igor's colleague Scott from Marin Kitchen Co designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Igor to streamline some areas. We got custom cabinets and new countertops from Marin Kitchen Co. Our project took about three months to complete and turned out even better than we imagined. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were outstanding, and Igor was always available to answer questions, offer thoughtful recommendations, and keep us informed throughout the project. The master bedroom shower is a masterclass in herringbone layout, with seamless lines and beautiful integration of niches. The guest bedroom shower features bold patterns, clean symmetry, and a perfectly executed mix of tile textures that somehow feels modern and timeless at the same time. Every grout line is perfect, every cut is clean, and the finish is immaculate. Perhaps most impressive, they completed the remodel on time and on budget - something that's rare in the construction industry. The crew was respectful, hardworking, and kept the job site clean and organized every day. We love how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Reliable Home Remodeling & Construction for all of our future projects.

Fahan Construction, quite simply, did an incredible job. That's the long and short of it. They…read moreimpressed, whether it was with the handling of inspections and inspectors, the transparency with financials, or the simply trade itself, John Shaw and his team were always on top of our renovation. Professional, respectful, and highly communicative, he was always there whenever we needed him, by text, phone, or in person, if we needed reassurance, advice or progress reports he always seemed to be right on the ball. It's hard to communicate just how important this is to keep the blood pressure down while undertaking something as life altering as a major home renovation, but we always felt Fahan had it under control. Our project was completed on schedule, 7 months to do a new kitchen, master bath, staircase installation, family room and deck, plus electrical and lots of small detail work around the house. Seven months is really something considering how easily big renovations like ours can go off the rails. Horror stories abound, and we, quite literally, had none. What a huge relief. In terms of costs, Fahan was transparent and upfront with us. They estimated and invoiced all expected and unexpected costs up front, and clearly stated any potential overruns. There were some, but none that we felt were from left field, and for each one we were given options to keep in line with what we were comfortable with. We understood and signed off on everything before anything moved forward, with a comforting degree of transparency. The only downside we could see was that the pricing tended to be high. It's not entirely clear however if this was due to the current economic conditions of '22-'23 or if it's just what quality work and workmanship costs. But as they say, you get what you pay for. Overall, we felt well-taken care of throughout the process, like there was an insider who knew the business, the pitfalls and the tricks. "I trust them", were words we uttered more than once. Most of the time we weren't even at the house, only catching up on the progress on weekends, but we always knew that the work would get done and with little to no issues along the way. THe house turned out amazing. We really couldn't be happier with the work they did. Fahan's just a quality outfit, contractors and subs, that you should trust with your house too. Just top-shelf all the way. Two thumbs up.

We hired Fahan for a number of projects at our home in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco: building a new deck, extending power and plumbing to the back yard, replacing our leaky roof, providing access to the new deck from our bedroom and a number of other misc projects inside our home. All of these projects were completed on time and with superb quality. John was incredibly friendly, professional and responsive throughout the whole process. He was extremely thorough: from working with the architect to co-ordinating with all the inspectors, to introducing us to all the members on his team and what we could expect from them on a regular basis. He managed the whole project effectively by providing us with timely quotes, invoices and being diligent about addressing any follow up questions we had. If there were any unforeseen issues with the weather or supply chain issues, John kept us informed and worked around each of these issues while keeping the project on time. Every single day, his team would show up on time and work diligently while keeping us posted if they needed anything. When we wanted something updated or changed, they obliged us immediately. What was particularly impressive is that they pulled off a number of different projects working across 3-4 different groups of people! I will definitely miss them around our home. And will reach out to them we need anything built or fixed moving forward.
