In a nutshell, working with Jitendra exceeded our expectations on several levels. The bookshelves that he designed, built, and installed really add much-needed warmth and life to our living room! BACKGROUND: We wanted bookshelves installed above a built-in cabinet unit in our living room. I sent Jitendra a sketch and described what we wanted. From my chicken-scratch sketch, he created a design and mock-up, then measured our space. While measuring, he flagged all existing flaws in the space (uneven/slanted walls) so that we were aware of all inconsistencies upfront. He has amazing attention to detail! RESULTS: We were simply blown away by how well he was able to match the custom shelves to our existing unit; all of the wood looks like it was manufactured at the same time! It truly looks like it was all constructed as one piece from the very beginning, which is exactly what we wanted. In addition, we really appreciate that he took initiative to incorporate crown molding/extra detail on the top of the shelving unit. This is something that I would never have thought to do. WHY YOU SHOULD HIRE HIM: There's good reason why the word "artisan" is in the name of this business. He goes above and beyond on quality, service, and workmanship, AND he's very personable, patient, and kind. I HIGHLY recommend working with Jitendra and his crew; worth every penny! read more

Jitendra is amazing!! He brought our vision to life. It is rare that you have someone do work on your house and expectations are far surpassed. He is a perfectionist which was great because I am so OCD. . Not only is his woodwork excellent, his installation spares no attention to detail. We had an entire wall done and there was NOTHING to touch up. He made sure all trim, floor, ceiling, etc. did not have a ding or scratch. He is not cheap; but I promise you worth every penny. If you have discerning taste and are picky about the detail he is the one. He can work with your budget too. Very creative at finding cost effective solutions. We get so many compliments on every aspect of our wall. read more

Jitendra and his team were absolutely first-rate. We have a large kitchen with 62 cabinets and drawers that needed refacing (aka new doors, but not new boxes) and a couple of new drawers that needed to be built. He came on-site to take measurements, returned an extra time to double-check that the new refrigerator panels would be correctly designed, and accommodated a last-minute request to build a new drawer. He worked with me to ensure he understood my needs and delivered exactly what we wanted on schedule! Not only is he an excellent craftsman, he is a very kind and caring individual. After chatting with him about my poor, damaged dining room table, he brought his personal wood art supplies and showed me how I could do a "good enough" repair of the table myself. I would work with him again in a second. read more

Jitendra made a fantastic piece for us that looks amazing in our living area. When we were in the process of getting quotes he was the only one who took the time to call back and ask targeted questions which showed his attention to detail. We went to visit his workshop with a similar piece of wood that we wanted to match and he stained it such that it matched the coffee table. We always get compliments on the piece and will definitely go to him when needing any woodwork done. read more

Artisan Woodmasters and, specifically, Jitendra who is the master woodworker, worked beautiful magic in our home. We wanted to find an artistic and skilled woodworker to help design and build a pantry and bookshelf for us in a style that was warm, organic, clean, and unique. We wanted excellent function AND beauty! Jitendra picks out trees that were locally harvested, mills and prepares the wood, and then creates the gorgeous finished pieces. He also sources wood from elsewhere based on whatever you want. I felt like I got to know the actual trees that we now touch and utilize each day, and this brings immeasurable joy to my daily activities in the kitchen and home! Jitendra is a kind and patient human who is a pleasure to work with, think with, and have in your home for the days the installation and building take place. He has many more talents besides woodworking which make doing business with him all the more delightful and pleasant. I cannot speak more highly of the quality of product and service we received from Artisan Woodmasters. I feel fortunate to have them as a resource in my life to design and build amazing wooden pieces that will last me a lifetime and bring joy to all who see them. So much for this guy.... Got stood up waiting for Jitendra. Nary a phone call for both days were to meet, either May 20 and May 23 at 10 a.m. He was given a second chance to show up today because he was all stressed out when I called on the 20th for the agreed-upon appointment. I have the text to prove this. Today, May 23rd, Jitendra is a no-show. Not even a phone call or text to describe what went wrong for him. Master woodworker not revealed through this pathetic interaction. Will continue looking for someone else for this simple project of reviewing an antique hutch. read more

We interviewed a number of woodworkers before choosing Jitendra for our coffee table project. I don't think any of them could have treated this table as thoughtfully or created such a piece of art. The drying, planing, sanding, epoxying, butterflying, and finishing took as long as an elephant pregnancy :)! But it was worth it! We are so grateful for Jitendra's eye for detail and his exceptional craftsmanship. It's obvious that this was a labor of love. We hope to have this stunning statement piece in our home for generations to come. Thank you, Jitendra! read more

I needed the legs of a coffee table cut down. It was done expeditiously and perfectly, sanded, and plastic rug protectors nailed in. I paid $150 which seemed very fair (and the woman who restored/refinished the coffee table was equally impressed). I would use him again! read more

With the grandest of intentions and the highest of hopes, my girlfriend and I hired Jitendra for a very specific custom cabinet job in our new home. Trusting that he understood what we wanted and feeling his attention to detail would suffice, we decided to go for it. Well, it should go without saying that the five star review I am posting now is a clear indication of his extraordinary success in not only meeting our high standards and expectations but far exceeding them. And always did he show up on time, prepared to work to his exacting personal and professional requirements, and never without a smile and kind word. As a local realtor who is often asked for referrals of all types, I can safely say that there could be no higher recommendation for a custom woodworker than Jitendra at Artisan Woodmasters. Thank you Jitendra, here's to your supreme success. . . read more

Jitendra was recommended to us by a contractor friend because we needed a base built for our dining nook and a table made to fit the space. He was responsive and had some great ideas and suggestions to make. He quoted us a very fair price and gave us an accurate timeframe for completion of his work. At his suggestion we used Paperstone for our tabletop and we are very happy with the appearance and workmanship. The base he made for our nook is perfect and seemingly seamless and you'd never know it wasn't original! We would certainly use Jitendra again for any wiodmaster project in our home. He is a true artist and a nice guy too! read more

Jitendra is a fine craftsman. Not only is his workshop fully equipped, but he is truly a master woodworker. He has been at it for a LONG time and it shows. Every piece that I have seen by him shines with artistry, fine detail and a deep care for the quality of work that is done. You cannot ask for a better person to create whatever custom piece it is that you need for your home, office, studio, wherever. They may be master cabinetmakers but beware of using them for repairs. I took in a 2' by 3' kitchen cabinet door that had split and they glued it back for $280. Probably could have bought a new door for that, though I admit I don't really have anything to compare either the repair cost or the cost of a new door to. read more

Needed to install a 75" TV. It was wider than my last TV and would not fit in my entertainment system without carving out a space for it. Jitendra suggested building a false wall to mount an expanding wall mount. Steve came out, built a template and returned a few days later to install. He even came back the next day to reposition the mount and helped mount TV. The quality was excellent and the service above and beyond. read more

Jitendra built a bench for us in our dinning area. His attention to detail and craftsmanship was amazing. He even made sure the closing of the bench was slow and didn't slam or crunch our kids fingers. I would definitely recommend him for future projects. read more

Jitendra is absolutely amazing. I had 2 extremely difficult situations where brand new furniture (some custom made) was either incorrectly made or severely damaged in transit. I reached out to several furniture repair shops for bids / estimates to repair. Jitendra not only was the most responsive and thoughtful in his responses, but he did wonders on the repair work after we had quite honestly almost lost hope in getting our furniture fixed after months of back and forth with the manufacturers and other repair services. Jitendra went above and beyond in his care and attention to detail, even walking me through how best to maintain and address future similar issues. I cannot recommend anyone more highly than Artisan Woodmasters and Jitendra. read more
