Correspondence via texts was painfully slow with 2-3 days taking to respond to one text at a time and to make a decision on whether they wanted to take a straightforward bathroom remodel job. To make things even worse, they asked if I was working with a designer as one of their requirements. So Fancy. Due to their unresponsiveness, when pressed to get back to me if they want to take a project, they said they are not interested. So much for providing unmatched customer service. A contractor's responsiveness is a direct reflection of their organizational skills and how they will manage your project. Poor communication early on is a leading indicator that milestones will be missed, crews will not show up, and the job will drag on. Stay away from these guys.

Only downsides were they weren't able to do a miter edge on the counter (or maybe they could but didn't offer it and that's what I would have preferred) and they almost installed a sink that was too small. They emailed me last minute to say they'd do a smaller sink than I had specified and I didn't see the email until it was too late. They were about to do the small sink but fortunately I was onsite and caught the issue in time. They made it work with a proper size sink. Even with these glitches I still was satisfied and would absolutely work with them again. The price was similar to what I'd paid several years ago for a similar sized job so I would consider their overall offering to be very competitively priced.

We've worked with them on our project for several years, and…read morehave not had a good experience with them. 4 years after we started working with them, we are still missing shelves and doors. There are several finish issues, and while they've endeavored to address this, the doors continue to have a different finish and blemishes. They didn't protect the floor in the last few visits, and their ladders scarred our flooring. They also did not adjust the doors to line up, leaving us with uneven spacing, bulging centers, and misaligned bottoms. The worst problem is the communication. It takes months of attempting to reach them via email, voicemail, and phone calls to get a single response, with several months between visits to get any progress. For example, our last visit was at the beginning of April. It's currently the end of July, and we've been unable to reach them this entire time. Their prices are very expensive, and we expected a higher standard commensurate with the price that we did not receive. We would vastly prefer to work this matter privately and not have to resort to reviews, or if matters persevere, taking more severe actions, but not sure what to do at this juncture.

I wish I got more updates during construction but they sent them whenever I asked. I liked that they were very contentious about talking with my neighbor when their van was blocking a little bit of their driveway--a lot of contractors wouldn't bother. I also had another neighbor who was causing some issues and they kept me in the loop, which I appreciated. - Price: I talked to several contractors and their price was pretty reasonable--not the lowest nor the highest, more in the middle. Cons: - After construction, I noticed some damage on parts that were supposed to be protected. They were minor damages, but annoying. The most noticeable one was a dent on my TV, which left a white dot that I see every time I turn on my TV, which sucks. - In terms of details, I noticed that there were some dings in pretty noticeable parts of the wood. I don't know if it was the crew or the wood came like that, but when I was testing a wood sample before purchasing, I hit the wood with a hammer and it didn't leave a mark, so it would take a lot of force to leave a dent like the one pictured. Kinda disappointing because the dent is smack in the middle of a high traffic area. Some last notes: - David came by to do a final walk through and helped me move some of the heavier furniture back. It didn't bother me but if you're expecting furniture to be put back the way it was originally, you'll want to manage your expectations. - You should definitely hire painters and cleaners after the construction--I didn't think the walls were going to be as scuffed up as they were. And everything will be superrrr dusty, even if it's covered. - When I expressed concern about not all baseboards being replaced, which I thought was the scope of work, he explained that he told his crew to use existing baseboards when possible. He said he did this to save me some cost and offered me $150 to cover the savings. I generally feel positive about this, although if I hadn't mentioned it I don't think it would've come up, so take that for what it's worth.

It was a tricky project because the floor was not even underneath the doors, so you couldn't just apply a sweep. We contacted multiple handymen but only Aaron insisted on coming in and discussing potential solutions. This helped us make the right decision since we knew he cared about the outcome and not just winning the job by price. We ended up having Aaron do a variety of tasks including installing deadbolts / smart locks on doors that didn't have any bolts before, adding thresholds and sealing all our lower floor doors, installing a towel rack into our shower and fixing weather stripping. This was all done at an agreed upon rate and we were very satisfied with his work, professionalism, pricing and timeliness.

In 2025, we decided to replace all the windows and the front door in the front of the house and wanted Marvin windows to match the front of the house. There are many window replacement companies out there that will build and install windows for you. However, we specifically wanted Marvin windows and we wanted to upgrade to the higher end Marvin windows as we had installed them in the back. Mark (the estimator) was very responsive and came out to measure and give us an estimate. We signed the contract and he said that we could expect installation in 3 months. Well, 3 months came and went and it seems our custom made windows from Marvin had some manufacturing issue and were delayed. Ok, so instead of a September installation, we were now we are expecting a December installation. It wasn't a big deal except that I had to restore my living room for Thanksgiving. This delay wasn't Window replacement Center issue, it was an issue with the Marvin manufacturing process. So, why am I giving a 5 star review. The installation was great. Oleg (sp?) was the lead installer and he did a wonderful job. My husband (a real DYI person and a perfectionist) even said that the workmanship was perfect. See attached pictures. They were here multiple days and left the rooms cleaner than when they started. Not a speck of dirt or dust was left. So, they only do new window replacement/installation. Meaning if you want a window where a wall exist, they don't do that. They don't fix existing windows (broken glass, old hardware). Mark did walk my husband through how to get a replacement part on another window were the hardware was rusted. They also don't do painting. You need to either paint it yourself on the inside or hire a painter to do this. Also, most of the installers speak very little English. We didn't find that to be an issue. If I had a question that they couldn't answer, they called Mark right away and we were able to work it out. The installers all came on time and there was even a day that I said they had to be done by 5 as we had a dinner engagement and they left when I wanted. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would hire them again to install any windows.

They quoted me $155 (out of pocket, without insurance), which sounded fair and honestly unbelievable at first for SF, but I went with it. My sister picked me up from the shop during the install and when she dropped me off she mentioned that she needed her windshield replaced. She got a quote, processed through insurance and replaced the next day. When I get to my car, they had cleaned all of the glass from the seats, cupholders and carpet. They restored my car back and honestly made my crappy day better, quickly. This is not my first window replacement, unfortunately... I have had it happen a few times before, but now I will always call and recommend In & Out Auto Glass. Not only are they the best deal in town for window replacement (insurance or without), but they are fast and will get you back in your wheels again.

It's exactly the kitchen I envisioned...light, clean, and complimentary to our early 1960's home. He gave us a couple of options for cabinet finishes with detailed quotes and helped us select an option within our budget. He's busy and couldn't start for 3 or 4 weeks which gave us time to select and order a new countertop/backsplash, sink, faucet, and hardware. His countertop subcontractor did an excellent cutting and installation job too. John's crew worked M-Th which gave us enough downtime during the construction that lasted about 3 weeks. He used the same two guys throughout the project. Ed and Mynor showed up on time everyday and were hardworking and neat. He gave us paint to match the cabinets and we painted the interiors to exactly match the Thermofoil wrapped doors and frames. After 20 years as a construction manager at K-12 schools, I can honestly say John is one of the best contractors I've worked with. He routinely texted and called and kept us informed of issues and solutions as they came up. Even while he was out of the country on a planned family vacation in the middle of our project! The sink vanity with cherry-faced drawer fronts is beautiful and just what we envisioned. The other two cabinets are paint-grade, almost floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets. Dennis is very knowledgeable about cabinet construction and steered us to the right hardware system to use for what is essentially a pull-out pantry for the narrow, deep storage cabinet. He was also right to suggest using a conversion varnish finish for the paint-grade storage cabinets. It looks fantastic, much better than regular paint would have looked and will be much more durable and easy to clean. We made an appointment with Dennis to meet at his shop and brought along our architect's drawings to show him. We discussed the design, wood, finishes, hardware, drawers and drawer glides, and the project schedule. I was a cabinetmaker about 20 years ago, so I knew that Dennis was the real deal and felt comfortable hiring him for our project. Dennis also communicates well, always a plus. Although the job was not without problems due to others, Dennis's part went as smooth as could be. Once the project was far enough along, he came to our house, met with me and the general contractor, took measurements and asked good questions about how the cabinetry would mesh with other parts of the room (mostly the tile and stone floor.) As the job proceeded, Dennis worked with us and the architect and general contractor to resolve the nitty-gritty aspects of construction and even visited again to recheck measurements. Only a couple of weeks later, Dennis showed up with a the vanity cabinet and installed it. He had even made the weird U-shaped drawers to fit around our nonstandard sink plumbing (it had a jog due to being an old house.) This gave us much more drawer space than would normally be possible. And the drawers are beautiful (I appreciate this as a former cabinetmaker.) A couple of weeks later, he was back with the other two cabinets to install. They look great. We love all the cabinets. I would not hesitate to work with Dennis on future projects. Our architect also wants to work with him again. I definitely recommend him.

Flash forward to 2020: The paint and veneer of the front panels of most of the cabinets and drawers had peeled off and looked terrible. I reached out to Danny and he blamed me for the damage, saying that it was because the overhang on my countertops was not big enough to prevent moisture from leaking on them. But that does not make any sense because the veneer is peeling off even in places far below the countertops. His quoted price to replace the damaged area: $1,685 I own another house where the kitchen cabinets were installed decades ago and still look great. If you want cabinets that last and a company that will stand behind their work, I would suggest you look elsewhere.

I highly recommend this business. Danny and his team were great partners in understanding what I wanted to accomplish, they have provided me different options, accommodated my design changes (even at the last minute). They showed up to the appointments right on time and finished on time (to the minute). I read a few comments on poor communication which I'd like to touch: They only communicate the necessary details which I appreciate actually and they always responded to my questions with the most care. I will definitely work with them in the future.

I couldn't be happier with the results. The unit is extremely well-made and EXACTLY what I envisioned when I started the project. I would highly recommend Segale Bros to anyone trying to upgrade a living space with built in cabinets. One thing I must mention - the unit was pre-painted at the Segale Bros shop and then delivered and installed at my house. The color was based on a sample that I provided, and the sample I provided turned out being not quite the right color of white. So when the unit was installed it just didn't quite blend with the surrounding trim. Rich and the team at Segale Bros put my happiness of the project above all else and brought their painting equipment (conversion varnish) and crew to my house and redid the entire paint job (3 days of work) at no cost to me.
