After spending an over an hour trying to determine the issue with our dishwasher, he suspected that it might be an issue with the pump. He orders the pump, comes back in 3 days with the new pump, installs it and then determines that the issue was not the pump at all but was due to a leak from our main faucet that was causing the sensor on the dishwasher to think that it was leaking! After all of that, including the 2 visits, he wasn't going to charge us anything!!! I gave him some money because he deserved something for his time! But I couldn't believe that he wasn't going to charge my anything! In this day and age when everyone is trying to nickel and dime you to death and/or overcharge you for simply coming out to check on a problem, I found Mikhail to be a breath of fresh air! Everything is disposable these days but it's not yet time to replace your oven. #3 - Call Mikhail, owner of MC Appliance Repair. He can diagnose and fix your oven (and probably any other large appliance that isn't operating as it should). I have a double oven so one non-working oven wasn't a deal-breaker but I missed broiling salmon while roasting brussels sprouts. I priced double ovens and learned not only are they expensive, but there's so many different sizes that replacing what I've got likely also requires some costly carpentry work. It was easy to book an appointment with Mikhail. He arrived on time and readily diagnosed the problem. He stated a repair cost and said he could return as soon as he had the part (which was ordered that day). A couple days later he was back and my oven - both halves - are now working. And, he seconded the notion that one should never use the "self-cleaning" feature of an oven. MC Appliance Repair was neither cheap nor expensive but rather, far less than the cost of replacing my entire double oven. The cost of the visit is rolled into the overall estimate so, unless you fail to move forward with a repair, you're not being charged any additional amount. MC Appliance Repair operates in my neighborhood. The owner is smart, knowledgeable, timely, and gets things back to working as intended. Just knowing about Mikhail leave me feeling like my appliances - all of them - have a much longer shelf life than I'd otherwise assumed.

After taking forever to get on the GE repair schedule, the repairman came, took the entire dishwasher out (scratching the cabinetry around it), installed a new part, said it was running, and left... An hour later I started a load and water came gushing out all over the floor. Couldn't get back on the GE schedule for another 3 days and found Tomans in desperation. Mansur arrived first thing the next morning, easily discovered that the GE "expert" installed the part backwards. He fixed it (turns out, you don't need to pull the entire dishwasher out to replace the part...thanks again, GE), tested it, and also gave us guidance on some other pipes that weren't installed correctly by our contractor. Seemed like a fairly simple fix, just swap out the burners, which are fairly pricey for an older stove. I'd do it myself, but why pay hundreds of dollars for the replacement parts if I can pay a small service request fee to have the parts and work done all in one? I'll tell you why: because they're not competent enough to get the job done. After about 8 visits from a very nice man who just wasn't able to do the job for various reasons, ranging from ordering the wrong parts to not being able to initially disassemble the stove because there was decades of caked-on grease on the burners (not my fault, I just bought this house), and about 6 months of trying to get this fixed from our initial service request, I told these guys that I had had enough of them, had completely lost faith in their ability to do the work (I had to call Fidelity/AP Appliance multiple times after not hearing back from them for weeks/months at a time just to get them to come and try to complete the job), and wanted them to tell Fidelity that they couldn't complete the job. The dispatcher I talked to said they wanted to send another guy out, since the guy they had sent out before was new with their company. He also made it a point to tell me the first guy had many years of experience (that didn't really show), but that the second guy was even more trusted within their company. I told him his word meant nothing to me based on the incompetence of the first guy they sent out, which I think was fairly evident at that point, and he told me that was all he would do. So I basically told him to f-off. Don't waste your money with these guys. I think the repair tech we got could definitely handle many repair jobs, but ours was just not one of them (again, 8 visits over 6 months to fail to complete a fairly simple job of swapping out some burner assemblies on a gas stove). I think what is more concerning in our case though was this company's lack of any concern for driving the request forward, or any accountability for failing to do so. Perhaps they deal with home warranty requests differently than standard requests, and Fidelity Home Warranty certainly shares a fair amount of blame in this for not ensuring that the work order was progressing, but the way this was handled was completely unacceptable. And before the owner of this business decides to ask me, "well why were you so unprofessional with my dispatcher, telling him that my guys are terrible," I would tell him that I believe I am completely within my right to be unprofessional and cuss out anyone who decided to string me along for as long as they did. I had plenty of patience in the 6 months leading up to this point. No more. These guys suck.

If he is busy with another client he will refer you to one of his trustworthy competitors. He has a vast knowledge of the equipment and will always explain why he is recommending a particular strategy. If the work is going to cost more than he believes the appliance is worth..he will let you know. furthermore..when he tells you he is going to be at your house/business at a particular time he means it. May 30, 19: Part installed apparently failed (same sound, frig constantly cycling, freezer completely thaws and re-freezes, sometimes, all food inside suspect after stomach upset following chicken consumption. Called in a.m. and was booked but said he would call me back. All day, no call back. Called twice and left message asking if any openings for the next day, no calls. He's very busy, I understand, my this emergency of mine had zero warning at all until the sound became very loud the following day from a very quiet sound the previous as the frig just quickly died. I just wish I had been given a definitive response that he would, or could not get to me, or even a referral instead of leaving me guess. If he calls today and makes time to help me, I'll update this review, otherwise, I would rather seek a repair facility that had the bandwidth to return all calls in case of an emergency.

I had a refrigerator break down late on a Friday night (day after Thanksgiving with guests staying over in the house) and he responded immediately. He diagnosed over the phone with my renter and took charge to save the day. I've never seen a repair person respond and take action they way he did. Gil is extremely articulate and obviously very knowledgeable and skilled. Gil even offered a loaner fridge to keep the tenants happy.
