Mike has been friendly and professional for many years though we haven't needed his services much over the years. However, recently we had some grinding sounds coming from our 38 year old Maytag dryer. Mike came by and checked it out. It turned out to be a blower wheel. He came back with the part a couple days later and replaced it. He showed me where the wheel shaft channel had worn down over time. The dryer is working well again and we look forward to more years of good service. Mike was on time. He knows his appliances and offers helpful advice from his experience. His cost was reasonable. He is a nice guy and a pleasure to work with. read more

Mike is always punctual; very supportive of project repairs and provides fair prices. He is incredibly through. Has great resources for parts. Knowing he is available takes the stress out of wondering who is the right fit for appliance repair/or replacement. read more

Thank you yelpers for recommending Mike. My experience mirrored everyone else's. Mike returns calls, shows up on time, explains what the problem is and how he will fix it, tells you how long the repair will take and how much he'll charge. He then fixes your appliance in the time he said it would take and charges you what he said he would charge you. It's almost unbelievable, but it's true! And just like everyone else said, he's a really nice guy to boot. I hope not to need him any time soon, but knowing he's around takes the sting out of appliance repairs. read more

Excellent service! Returned my phone calls quickly and fixed my washer right away.. He was a very nice guy and I will definitely be calling him in the future. Thanks, Mike! read more

Mike arrived on time, stayed for over an hour, was incredibly thorough (and determined!) to find the root of the issue with our washer, and didn't hesitate to tell us that it wouldn't be worth the cost to repair it. I'd highly recommend his services to anyone! (He was also very nice to our curious 3-year old and let him sit by him and watch/explain what he was doing to the washer.) Thank you so much, Mike!! read more

Just like his other reviews, Mike came out yesterday and fixed my whirlpool washer, quickly and efficiently. At a reasonable price, nice guy too.what more can you want? read more

This guy is the real deal. I found out about him through the Pacific Sun where he was named best appliance guy. He totally knows his stuff, seems like he really likes his work. He's totally fair in his pricing too. Super honest, on time, returns calls, gives advice, cares! No need to call anyone else for my appliance needs! read more

MIke came by and fixed our dryer quickly and professionally--and at a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend it.

Mike came out yesterday to fix our trash compactor and he did a great job!! We called Sears first and the Sears guy took one look at it and said he couldn't do it. We then called Mike who came out the next day. He was well prepared and brought plastic pieces to prevent damage to the floor when he pulled out the compactor. He knew right away what the problem was and fixed it on the spot. He was upfront on the costs and gave us options for how to prevent the problem in the future. Mike's attitude is great and we would highly recommend him to anyone who needs appliance repair. read more

When you have a family of 5 and your washing machine breaks, you've got a situation. The Appliance Monkey, who is another 5 star business, recommended Mike. He called back promptly and squeezed me into his busy schedule. My washer was beyond hope, but Mike directed me toward a couple of appliance store options and gave me good advice about what to buy next. I'd definitely call him again! read more

This guy is awesome. We had a fuel leak in the oven. He showed me how to fix it if it ever happens again, and THEN, he spontaneously checked our dishwasher--showed me how to clean it, suggest a better detergent, etc. And then he checked the refrigerator, and showed me how to clean the coils, and from there we hit the laundry room. He showed me a common part that breaks on the washer, and a simple fix for that too! Super nice, surprisingly helpful. I rarely write reviews, but . . . how could I not? Don't hesitate to call him. read more

A friend of mine recommended Mike when I mentioned that my 1967 original oven and stove were not fully functioning (bake burner in oven and 2 stove burners were out). I called Mike and left him a message. He called that night and we set up an appointment that worked for me. He explained $99 for the visit and then we'd go from there. He was upfront immediately about how old everything was but hopefully it was just a short! It ended up being just that and he had the needed "parts" to fix it on the spot. He was also thoughtful about why we should consider replacing them both soon. I'd call Mike again for my appliance needs. Now I'm off to bake some cookies!! read more

Really nice guy! Quick fix and totally affordable. He's legit, so don't be afraid to give him a call!

Mike is great. He called me back right away, showed up on time, was knowledgeable about my fridge, explained everything, and charged a decent price. I am saving his business card! read more

Mike is personable, on time, knowledgeable, charged decently. Does charge a fee for coming over but he shows up when he says he will. Our problem has been our washer/dryer and he will tell us when it is not worth to fix. He's the first person we call to get an estimate, and that we usually use. read more

Based on his Yelp reviews, I contacted Mike to fix my stove... and guess what? He handily lived up to the great reviews with excellent service, in depth technical knowledge, professional attention to detail, up front and accurate pricing, and super communication - the guy is a real pro! Mike knows his stuff. With many years experience and a desire to keep up with all the newest technology, Mike has my vote for super customer service tech. I called him this morning and he was able to fit me in today and got my Maytag working better than ever for a very reasonable rate. He showed up on time, was professional, and I would definately call him again for any appliance repairs. Mike fixed my side by side and did a great job. He had to order a part and come back and he was very personable, professional and reliable. I felt like I was in good, honest hands and it was very reasonably priced. When I had to call back two years later with another problem with the same side by side, gave me some advice on what it was and my husband was able to fix it, so that was extremely generous of him. Our side by side is probably almost 20 years old and it is time for a new one... but I appreciate being able to extend the life of the one we have. Thanks Mike! read more

I had a problem with my refrigerator and Mike gave me some quick advice at no charge over the phone that solved the problem. Very cool if him and I will contact him next time I need an actual repair. Thanks Mike! read more

Mike returned my call within 24 hours, showed up on time, found the problem and fixed it. Was personable and explained/ showed me the problem. His charge was reasonable and as quoted. All in all a great experience. read more

I can only hope I caught Mike on a bad day. We had a friend pull apart the broken dryer in an attempt to fix the thing. When that failed, Mike was called in. The sight of the dismantled dryer caused Mike to go off on the "youtube" crowd that think they can fix appliances. $92 dollars later he was gone, the dryer was still dismantled and we had a business card of someone that could clear the vent. And the happy ending is that on repairclinic.com you can purchase all the parts you need for $100 and do it yourself read more

Mike's a great guy. Our dryer (7 year old, Maytag) was making a scary loud noise every time we ran it, and I sent Mike a note via his website. He was incredibly responsive, showed up on time, and came in under his quote. He gave us a solid recommendation on how the problem happened, and what we can do to avoid it. When I asked if we should replace a part, he was completely honest and said we didn't need to, instead of just agreeing to the repair for more money. Legit guy -- would absolutely call him again if we had another appliance on the fritz. read more

I called Mike and told him about a problem I was having with my refrigerator. He was very knowledgeable and pleasance and took 10 minutes of his time and advised me over the phone what he thought the problem was. He was right on and I was was able to fix it myself. I would highly recommend Mike . read more

Our ten year old washer went south. With the smell of ozone, and anguished mechanical noises it just wouldn't go any further. I am pretty good with mechanical things. How hard could it be? I tried to perform surgery, and couldn't figure out how to get the washer cabinet opened. Time to call an expert. I surfed around and found Mike. His Yelp and other reviews were at the top of the charts. A call to his number was responded to promptly, and he came over exactly when he said he would. He looked at my handiwork so far, and with only a little muttering, asked me to put everything back together. He said he'd stop by later so his labor charges to fix my adventures in mechanics wouldn't cost me. He left. I fixed everything and he returned when he said he would. A short diagnosis, a few minutes of work, and he found a screw jammed in the machinery that had been in the pocket of jeans I'd washed. With endless good humor and stories of similar customers he fixed everything. What a great guy! His prices are slightly cheaper than the big guys, but his work and his knowledge is at the top of his game. Don't screw around. Just call the guy. You won't be disappointed. read more

Mike made getting my fridge fixed easy. He was easy to contact, showed up on time (even offered to show up at an earlier time-slot if possible), quick, and actually had the part that I needed on his truck. In a little over an hour, my fridge was up and running again. read more

Mike is the best! He fixed our dishwasher and worked with Electrolux to get us the parts without charge. He is the best if you need something fixed call Mike. Very friendly guy too. read more

Sears referred me to Bay Area Appliance which was a pain to deal with from beginning to end. When I was tired of being treated like an idiot I called Sears to make a complaint. The nice lady at Sears asked me if I wanted to work with a different company. I immediately said, H--l yes & so I was given Mike's contact info. We missed each other on the phone a couple of times only because I'm a "night person"& then it was smooth sailing after that. You might find the following comments "strangely" normal however, EVERY WORD is TRUE ! He was available to evaluate my 2 year old refrigerator in a less than a week (as opposed to 10-14 days like BAA). Showed up on time, & actually LISTENED to me when I described the issue. He asked me a couple of questions & then proceeded to actually stick his head inside both the freezer & refrigerator to look around ! He discovered the problem right away, told me what it was, said he would order the part (which only took 3 days) & then said HE would call ME to come back to replace the part ! Wow ! This was SO EASY compared to BAA ! BAA had no idea what was wrong, didn't bother checking the temperature let alone actually look INSIDE the darned thing & asked me at least 3 times what I thought was wrong with it ! If you want deal with a REAL repair person who will actually talk with you & has SOCIAL SKILLS call Mike !!! Thank you, Mike ! read more

By reading all the great reviews about Mike I'm sure he does do quality work. The reason I'm giving him 1 star is because his voice mail message said "I will be out of town for the holidays & if you like leave a message & I will call you back. Have a Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year." This voice mail greeting couldn't be any more vague. Being away for the holidays is fine & expected. Mike neglected to mention when he would be back & if he is checking his messages while he is gone which he is obviously not. I left him a message over a week ago & never received a call back. What was really frustrating was knowing when "after the holidays" really was as for a return date to take care of clients. My business would have died if I used a voice mail greeting as Mike has. Mike in all sincerity I suggest you create a more professional voice mail greeting because if you lost 1 customer then you lost more. read more
