Came here for a work dinner, we order a lot of Good Sushi and Sashimi (Spicy Tuna and Red Sox Roll were my favorites).

The six of us (ranging in age from 11 to over 75) went to Feng Shui on Saturday for an early Mother's Day lunch in the hibachi section of the restaurant. Our waitress (who was in training) was pleasant and attentive, the hibachi chef was personable, skilled and entertaining, and the food was excellent. The prices were reasonable. Mixed reviews here, but I have to say I really enjoyed the buffet.. Brought a party of 12 for lunch and we all really liked the food. (Hope they were just not being polite) I may be a bit deprived of good Chinese buffets living in North Jersey, but this place really had fantastic food. When my family and I moved to Jaffrey, NH from Billerica we used to drive all the way from Jaffrey to Billerica just to get Chinese food. But then we moved to Chelmsford and decided to try this place because they delivered. And let's just say that even though the place in Billerica is amazing and a lot closer now we loyally come here now. Its consistently absolutely amazing. I really like this place. This was my second time eating at this location. First time was in the bar area (high top table), this time was in the main dining area. We had three appetizers and three pieces of sushi, and all of it was excellent. The only down side that I saw from the whole night (it was 2+ hours of dining and discussion) was that the original table area in the bar had no less than a half dozen small flies just buzzing around and sitting on the table. The wait staff were excellent. Brought out food in a timely fashion and did not bother us constantly, like other places do. We were allowed to talk for some time before ordering apps, and allowed to talk again before ordering dinner. All in all, a pleasant time. read more

I went here for the first time earlier this week, the sushi is absolutely amazing here.

We arrived on a Thursday evening for Hibachi dinner. The wait was about 35 min. The restaurant was mostly empty but because there were only three Hibachi tables available, we had to wait to eat. We came here because my fiance's coworker wanted to and who am I to say no. I just went along with it. But, Hibachi restaurants are stupid. As an Asian-American, watching these "chefs" perform circus acts with their spatulas frying up what is pretty much a standard American food these days is really insulting to watch. For White Americans this may seem like an "experience" and "fun", but to me, it's like walking into a pizza shop and watching an Italian guy dressed like a stereotypical Italian chef making pizza in front of you talking in stereotypical Italian-American accent. But you don't see that do you? The food isn't even that great for the price! Seriously. These restaurants further enhances the Asian stereotype and I just can't justify going to these places anymore. And most of these Hibachi "chefs" aren't even real chefs. They just throw food on a grill and perform basic standard Hibachi acts like the onion volcano... wow, awesome. Haven't seen that before. They make a lot of noise and in the end you get a plate full of junk food. Enough. read more

The sushi here is pretty fresh. The Chinese food is slightly above average and the buffet is full of substance. The bar is very nice but the waitstaff is a little lame. great for locals but don't travel out of you way for it. I guess they have open the hibachi as well i haven't tried it yet but hear its nice. If you have been to Bamboo you can tell Fung Shui made a half ass attempt to copy their style. If your looking for this style food travel to Bamboo in Westford you will be much happier for the same price. I promise :) read more

I had purchased my parents a $50 gift card to Feng Shui in Natick a number of years back but the location closed. I decided to make the 45 minute drive up to Chelmsford with my two children and two of their friends so that we could use the gift card at the Chelmsford location. The gift card clearly shows that Natick and Chelmsford are two of the restaurant's locations and the website for the Natick location is the same as the now closed Natick location. When I attempted to pay for our meal using the gift card I was told that they would not honor it because the location in Natick had different owners then this location. While the food was very good and the service was great I am extremely disappointed about their refusal to take the gift card. I'd be curious to know if I can claim any sort of restitution under Massachusetts law? read more

Lunch buffet reviews indicated this place was pretty good, so drove in an hour for it and got there around 12:30. Not sure if I should have bothered. Pretty pedestrian food with the exception of the coconut shrimp in a tempura type coating that were a nice size and tasty. Fellow diners were almost all the standard work crowd complete with some a-holes. Poor sushi, mainly veggie. Shumai was not so good. Fried dumplings and chicken wings were ok. Veggie spring rolls, meh. No soups - found out later you can ask for some, OK but too late for me. Greeted nicely, clean place. Took a while to replenish food, but they got to it if you were willing to wait. For $12.95 for the buffet, go with the coconut shrimp and ask for soup. read more

I'm not sure why this place receives so much hype. Yes it presents a very nice atmosphere however I'm not there primarily to take a bite out of the woodwork or a seat cushion. I'm there for the food. That's where this place really falls short. For what you pay at $15.49 a head the diminutive "buffet" is a complete joke. Maybe 10 different varieties of greasy standard issue Chinese buffet items, a few more nondescript whatevers next to the two token ice cream buckets and that's it. I mean you probably won't leave hungry but you won't leave satisfied either unless GREASE/OIL is in your primary food group. The only reason I wandered into this place was growing tired of the Grand Buffet up in Nashua after far too many visits. However I now find it outclasses Feng Shui hands down when measured by variety (as a conservative estimate 400% more), quantity, and even quality of food, and then at a substantially lower price. This Feng Shui joint even charges you for hot tea! The one thing aside from the woodwork and investment in decorations I'll give Feng Shui, is in my first and last visit the wait staff was unobtrusive, attentive when you needed something, but quietly retreating to leave you eat in peace otherwise. Not so with Grand Buffet where the wait staff is a unique combination of weird and hostile. But after the Feng Shui episode I suppose I'll be more tolerant of that treatment until I find an acceptable alternate to Grand Buffet. Feng Shui isn't one by a long shot. Hibachi Sushi, at Feng Shui, is a Benihana-type Japanese/Chinese fusion place where the chefs stage their shows while you're eating dinner around a large "grill." You see the "performers" bang their knives on the table, throw eggs into the air and then catch them with a knife, set "fire" to the table, make a pyramid with onion slices and then light it, etc. Our friends had a Groupon and asked us to join them, and we four shared a table with a family with two adorable little, well-behaved boys. The kids were so excited to watch the "show." We had calamari, Chilean sea bass, chicken and beef, and white, fried, and brown rice, and vegetables. Before the meal, we enjoyed a tiny bowl of miso soup and an even tinier salad with very watery dressing. Little plates of ginger sauce and mustard were at each station. We also had 3 grilled shrimp as an appetizer. I tried the grilled calamari, and I thought they were rubbery. The meal, especially the sea bass, was very enjoyable. Everything was hot and fresh, and although we have seen this type of performance several times before, we still had fun. The meal was on the expensive side, but am sure 1/3 of the cost was for the entertainment value. Would I come back? Maybe with a large group, but otherwise, maybe not. read more

My husband's office uses this place all the time for meetings. Normally I work in Boston on week days but today I was working from home and he surprised me by showing up at lunch time to take me out! I've only had the lunch buffet, which was a bit of a hit or miss. When it's good it's good. When it's bad it's bad.

So this place went in a while ago but given it was split between Chinese and Japanese food I didn't really take it seriously, the two cultures have very different foods and I've had 'combined' food before, it's like eating Mexican/American food, just not my thing. But my 30th birthday came and my boyfriend suggested this place and I figured, what the heck. I was shocked at how great an experience we had. First, the place is beautiful inside, extremely well done. They had to have dropped 1-1.5 million on the renovations. Food: There are actually different stations with different chef's. My sushi came from a Japanese chef while my fried rice came from a Chinese rice station. We had Tempura, Sushi, Rice, and a few other items. All were excellent. Food was fresh, vegetables were firm and not overcooked. The portions are smaller then your typical Chinese food restaurant but the quality was much higher, I'd choose quality over quantity any day of the week. Service: Excellent. The waiter even broke my chopsticks away from the table and rubbed them together to get rid of splinters (yes I'd have preferred non-disposable sticks). He was very friendly, more on the formal side and was very attentive without being in our face. The only bummer was that he was not yet 21 so he couldn't answer questions about the drinks. Drinks: Pretty good. I tried one drink that was listed as a "must try" and it was pretty good, a bit sweeter then I generally like but I had anticipated that would be the case. Overall I would have to say if you have a few extra bucks to go here rather then your typical Chinese food restaurant, do so because you'll find it to be MUCH better. Loved the Feng Shui in Natick, and while giving them the full stars, I would like to complain that they closed the Natick location! I am so disappointed in my community for not supporting it enough for it to stay. I LOVE Feng Shui! Always fresh sushi and food, fantastic staff, wonderful hibachi--favorite with my kids, and they miss it as much as I do! Great drinks. Please come back to the area!!! They also had an amazing acoustic musician play weekly, who was so talented and knew just about every song. It made a unique experience in the bar, and was a big draw. Service was excellent. Didn't wait long at all for a table. Drinks were ordered right away and arrived quickly. Food order was taken with little issue. Helpful wait staff explained everything. Restaurant is modern and decor is also..would recommend sitting upstairs because its nice to see the food being made and the smells of the kitchen make your mouth water..staff is no nonsense..dont expect to joke and socialize with waitress..sometimes they make you feel rushed but this is a culture thing I think since most of the staff seem to be right from China. The food is fresh. Prices are a little on the higher side but food is great. Guess you get what you pay for. Great for large groups. read more

This is a top rated, most popular sushi place in lowell area? You've GOT to be kidding me, right? We sat at the sushi bar... I went with my usuals -- hamachi, saba, tuna, salmon roe, scallops. I was so not impressed with the quality of the fish...... Bad sushi it is not (bad sushi = supermarket type.. take one look at it you want to throw up, forget about putting that in your mouth). Mediocre sushi = take one bite, you suddenly don't feel all that hungry anymore. It's not BAD but it's not good either (that was how the sushi at Fugakyu tasted like). Now, GOOD sushi (like the ones they serve at UZEN back in CA) is the type that melts in your mouth and sends you to heaven and back with just one bite. Call me biased or a sushi snob.. whatever. If the sushi chef isn't trained in Japan, speak Japanese, or is Japanese, 99.99999999% of the time it can't be good. My search for an authentic sushi place in Boston continues. read more

I remember when they tore down the old Italian restaurant and built this multi-million dollar complex, it's a beautiful building, but the food is mediocre. The name feng-shui is very bad for a place that puts emphasis on the sushi and hibachi. It declares itself to be fusion, with buffet, Chinese, and Japanese. This restaurant tries to do too much with an extensive menu and ends up not really specializing in anything, mostly a Chinese restaurant. The food is only okay with terrible and rude service. It's simply overpriced to compensate for its building. The quality of food doesn't match up with the nice decors in the first place. Simply a bad equation. read more

We came here once and had a wonderful hibachi meal. My husband is a vegetarian and loves a veggie hibachi with tofu. Without tofu it's a pretty bland meal, not filling, and not worth the price. I got a pricey steak and scallop dinner. We came back again on New Year's thinking he would get the same order and the chef refused to even acknowledge we had ordered a tofu hibachi meal a few months earlier. He said "you didn't get tofu here before" and kept repeating this despite us pointing out the exact server who had taken our order and the chef. It was one of the most bizarre experiences we'd ever had. We figured we'd give it one more shot and called tonight to ask if they would do tofu on the grill and they said "no", which is fine, but we'll never be back and they get a one star review. read more
