The manager is disrespectful to the cashiers, I am the next customer in line. One cashier was punching put for lunch, and the other cashier was helping her. I was not in a rush. When the manager yells at both cashiers, THE CUSTOMER IS WAITING!!! GO ON YOUR BREAK, take your 30 minutes. Everybody has their bad days but you don't speak to your employees like trash. read more

I bought a pack of hair here and asked the cashier if I could return it. I was told no returns, but I could exchange it as long as the hair was unopened. I needed a different color so I brought the hair back to be exchange and they said I couldn't exchange it cause it was past the 7 days, a policy not mentioned at the time of purchase. On top of that I asked for help picking right color, no one assisted or offered recommendations. They just stared at me. Extremely poor customer service, I've been to other beauty supply stores that give recommendations and can answer basic questions about the products that they're selling. I came here to look for something specific and left extremely disappointed. There are other beauty supply stores in the area that have better prices and staff that are willing to assist customers. If anything, you're better off buying anything else online. read more

Though it's only been a couple weeks since they open their doors, Feel Beauty Supply has a well lived in feel (no pun intended). It's as if they've been at this location for many many years. Staff is young looking and were upbeat when I was there. I was the only customer for the twenty or so minutes and I don't know if location, or it being a Sunday after the Chrismas and new year festivities has anything to do with this. It's part of Green Acres Mall located at the back of H& M, but you actually have to leave the mall to get to it. I only knew it was there because I'm nosy AND I've had my eye on them for some time. I apprecilove that most items are on display and at customer's reach, no waiting around asking "have you got this in a 1B?" while the associate goes to check. Takeya (spell check) was a truckload of information, so helpful. They've got two professional wig stations for you to primp at. (Men, if you're reading this, that means where us Queens try on wigs and ask our reflections "Am I slaying in this? Is my slayage on point?" I was pretty much left to my own devices as I ogled and took pics etc. Staff though very much present, did not bother me or make me feel like a hair bandit as can happen in these types of stores. Sidenote: Dear Beauty Supply Store Owners, Not all of us are desperate enough to steal your supplies. Respectfully. Feel Beauty in Green Acres has the usual wares without the gimmicky accessories and are much more organized than their sister store on Jamaica ave. Some employees are lazy. I asked for them to look up a product and tell me which isle, i was told to just go look in "one of these isles". That's poor customer service! It would take you two seconds for you to walk me to the product. Mind you I asked AFTER walking around myself. I just ended up walking out and saying ____ that. Customer service is amazing. I drive from Freeport which is not around the corner just because of the way I am treated here.They always have amazing deals and a wide selection of products. I ordered Bobby Boss synthetic hair crochet Bomba faux locs goddess 20" on their website. It came the next day but I wanted to exchange one of the packs for another color. I wasn't able to make the exchange though because this location doesn't carry that kind of hair. The ladies working were still extremely nice and helpful. I went to this beauty supply store once and that will be the last time. It was a horrible experience with only one highlight. As I walked in I was not greeted although the owner was standing right by the door. Let's be clear, most beauty supply stores are owned by Asians and they don't care anything about customer service or pleasing the customers just getting our money. This has been my experience for years and years now not only in Beauty Supplies but even when you go to their Chinese restaurant you don't get any customer service because they know regardless you're going to come and buy their crap. People are Awakening and it won't be that way for long! Usually in retail the associates follow the path of ownership. So I believe that because they're boss has no respect they don't feel the need to provide customer service. There was one young woman working there that was somewhat helpful with finding what I needed. I'm a natural and I wanted to throw some box braids in to switch it up for a while so I needed some Kanekalon hair. That is literally the only reason I ever step into beauty supply shops these days. If anyone knows of any black owned beauty supplies in the area please let me know. This is such a lucrative industry... I need to get some coin together and start one myself. read more

This store has basically everything you need to groom yourself and your male counterpart. Wide selection and variety. Lots of wig merchandise on display for try-on purposes. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable on the products they sell and management is very pleasant. Unlike some other beauty supply stores who look upset to have customers, this particular location welcomes its patrons with a smile and a hello. read more

Payed a visit to this store about a month ago. I must say that I was very impressed by the wide variety of options that they have. Thank goodness! Most of the beauty supply stores in our area (Merrick blvd) have limited selections of styles and brands. Store associates were helpful and pleasant. Customers weren't "stalked" while shopping. Customer service is not the top priority for this beauty supply chain. Each of their stores I've visited I've had problems with. The Howard Beach location I pointed out a used color hair dye container that was leaking and she brushed me off and went over to yell at another customer; "what you need"? Then at this new location in valley stream, I got there at 8:25pm and the door was locked. The sign at the side said they closed at 8:30pm which I also found out via yelp. I knocked until it was 8:27pm and a woman comes to the door, with her phone in her hand, dragging her feet and said; "we're closed". I repeated that I only needed 1 thing, cash was in my hand and it wasn't 8:30pm yet and she said; "we are closed" and walked away. At what point does customer service take precedence to you leaving on time. I will not be shopping at their stores any longer and I've found a website that is cheaper and delivers in 1 day.
