A very nice neighborhood Pharmacy on the corner of S. Central Ave And W. Merrick Rd in Valley Stream Queens. It's a very clean nice location not too crowded. Not too busy. The staff was friendly. The store was organized and Clean. Heading home to take care of this discomfort on my shoulder if you're in the area stop in for a great shopping experience I had a very nice experience. My review is directed at the tall gentleman with box braids. He's not really friendly and poor customer service. When I came to pick up a prescription, he told me to return in 30 mins. I came back in 45 mins and was told by his much friendlier co-worker that it would be another 15 minutes. I asked if that's true because I at this point my skepticism kicked in. I told her the time frame already given to me by box braids. 3 minutes later my prescription was ready and box braids not only did not apologize for the daily but didn't respond when I acted cordially by saying "Thank you". He chose to look at me with an attitude. Sad that this is the world we live in now. Not taking accountability is the new standard. Always have plenty of parking, Nice organized store always able to find what you need. Sometimes there's a line but it moves quickly. Didn't give the store 5 stars because I purchased paper towels the 6 pack, Usually the cashier has the plastic strap that they put across the paper towels to use as a handle. These people are a pack of idiots, the employee here thinks that Walgreens is a privately owned store, where they can make their own rules as they go.. this is not the first or second time I've had an issue with the staff there. But this is the first time I created a scene because they are taking advantage of our seniors in the area too, I know this because my dad told me that he when to this store and he tried to use his OTC card, they made him put everything back..refused his card and embarrassed him. Today that was mostly my frustration, when they refused my payment method. With that said today I ordered a few items went to the store to pick it up I decided to grab four gift cards and three packs of Coca-Cola however, I only had cash to pay for one gift card and the Coca-Cola, I told the cashier I was gonna pay with my Apple Pay for the other 3 card, she asked the attend manager if I could pay with Apple Pay she said no they do not accept Apple Pay for gift card, but but prior to that every single bill I gave her for the one gift card and the soda was put into a machine to see if it was fake, I didn't realize what was happening until they refused my form of payment. I asked for a valid reason why they are not accepting my form of payment still no respond. Attached below is a video of the entire encounter with the three stooges at this Walgreens and pinky and the brain AKA costumers that felt the need to defend their honor, of these three idiots. I will post his on every possible search engine and social media. I think, they think, everyone is a criminal because that's what they see when they look at them selves in the mirror. Not forgetting to mention I did eventually pay with my Apple Pay with no consent from them, the computer took my payment. I was considering changing my RX pharmacy to Walgreens then I remembered exactly how RUDE the cashiers up front were everytime I've been in that store whether it be for purchase or return shipping Cashiers were beyond r9ude and actually hostile. Now I realize that the pharmacy dept is completely separate from the front cashier, but why would I bring my business to a store whose management condones such rudeness? The customer service is awful. One woman was especially snotty after I asked a question. It wasn't a very difficult question either, When I brought it up to her at the cash register, she was still nasty. If she's so unhappy about doIng her job perhaps she should leave. I don't why this Walgreens is on-site FedEx is they rudely refuse to accept FedEx labeled packages for shipping! Pharmacist here--female. Terrible attitude. Like she has no time to speak to anyone. Came in and asked a question and got a short answer answer she walked away from the window and moved on to do other things. I waited for clarification and when she saw me still at the window she snapped at me with the "I already told you!" I don't understand how you expect to have customers and call yourself healthcare workers if you don't have any patience to clarify things and any compassion. We are not all in healthcare so sometimes it will take additional explanation. Won't be using this location any more. One more nasty experience and will switch pharmacies altogether. read more

Today was the last time I'll spend my money at this location. I am followed around the store every time I step through the door. In the past, I've seen the cashier call security when a young man of color has come through the door and being a man of color for 47 years, knows when he's being followed by two half witted store clerks. I brought my my house here in Valley Stream 15yrs ago and was excited to see this place being built since its practically in my backyard. I'll go back to CVS, in my 15 years here, I've never had this issue with them. I am an active member of this community and will make sure to share my experiences with my fellow neighbors and community associates. Racial profiling had no place work in law enforcement and it certainly has no place in Walgreens. read more

I remember when this place was still in construction. For starters it's SUPER big! It reminded me of a Manhattan Walgreens. They've been open for a month or two now. Shelves are full of product waiting to be purchased. I'm a makeup artist, so the first thing I flocked to the cosmetic & skincare isle. They were fully stocked on majority of the brands a typical Walgreens would carry. Very clean and spacious. Sales associates are friendly! They have some nice sales going on too. read more

Almost all my yelp reviews are positive but this one calls for a NEGATIVE. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the customer service. I waited in line to return 2 items with a receipt to this Walgreens because they are open until midnight and I didn't have time to make it to a Walgreens that closed at 10pm. Anyway, an item that was purchased at a Walgreens in South Ozone Park (Aquaphor 7oz) is apparently not sold in this store, so the cashier asked me to wait for a manager to be able to return the item. I waited several minutes but the manager never came out and then he/she phoned the front of the store and told the same cashier to ask me if I can go to the South Ozone Park store because he/she is "all tied up, busy doing something." I'm sorry but Walgreens is a huge company and I had a receipt. Therefore I strongly believe this is something any manager could have come up to help with, I don't care how busy you are. This store is open until midnight and I was asked to wait a while or come back before midnight to do the return. How ridiculous?! Whatever happened to the business phrase that "customers come first" / "customer is always right" ? Unbelievable. read more

I literally took time off from work today to take my senior citizen dad to purchase some items from his OTC card. The cashier was offensively impolite and that's not the first time every time they go to purchase stuff with OTC, she would always be rude and disrespectful to them. After ringing them up today she told them that their card only have .88 cents and she cannot give them anything! However, I called up the company and was told that WALGREENS charged them $54.12 out of their $55 OTC today. I called Walgreens and Spoke to the manager Dug Mashkew he was polite and of course defended the cashier, i asked him when is her days off so in future I'll go when she's off he told me that she's always there. So to all you customers with OTC WALGREENS is not the place to go shopping unless you're paying cash. I wonder what ever happens to customers right....... read more
