This is an amazing pharmacy. Everything openly displayed perfectly and lots of cute items as well as kids gifts. Received vaccine and it was handled wonderfully. They have full Solgar line and even refrigerated Probiotics. Not busy and huge parking lot. Will be back. read more

Here's a tip to the business. Read your reviews.. people come here to be treated differently than the big chain stores and when this store first opened, that was how it was. The last three times that I've gone there, I have had unpleasant experiences. When you are the only customer in the store and waiting for an Rx and try to make conversation with the cashier and she ignores you because either she can't be bothered, thinks you're a garrulous old lady, or is too busy watching the TV it's very rude. When you mention that the doctor advised using a neck brace and the pharmacist waves towards the back of the store and says he might have one 'back there' the customer doesn't really feel like they're getting that small business service. 3strs because they fill the prescription fast and they still deliver. read more

They were great when Middle Neck Pharmacy collapsed. Matched the price of my prescription when CVS wanted 7 times more! Made no sense, so went to Great Neck Chemists, which is great. Met other former Middle Neck patrons when I picked up my pills. Now let's see the service they offer going forward. read more

The people who work here are very rude. I have consistently received bad customer service and horrible attitude over the phone and it's not necessary at all. Very unprofessional and not ones to be "at your service" they are just there to do their jobs and get out. You'd think a mom and pop shop would be providing excellent care. I asked an employee who shall remain unnamed to repeat something he said over the phone and he sighed and acted annoyed with me. Another time a pharmacist was extremely frustrated just because I wanted to ask her a question about my insurance. Service must be improved. They just don't want to help. Lame. read more

When Middle Neck Pharmacy closed, I thought my life was over. My records were transferred to CVS, who did not care in the least about me, in fact I was on vacation and had not picked up a med (they had not called me either) and just disposed of the medicine without my approval! I was aghast, and heard about Great Neck Chemists. Nick Crespo, the Pharmacist there, could NOT be more accommodating and pleasant to work with. Amazing customer service and support during this difficult time - my parents live in GN and I had to take over ordering their refills, new prescriptions and OTC needs from Connecticut - every time i call - the staff responds and delivers - They offer to call their dr.'s when needed for refills - and delivery is always quick and same day! This business is a gem - and the people are on the front line providing excellent care for the seniors in GN - our most vulnerable! This is the best pharmacy I've ever been to in my life.The staff there is outstanding they are very nice to me and my mother when we need to pick up her prescriptions. They are always on the ball and return faxes and our calls when they are not available. The staff looks like they really care about their jobs and care about the people that come in. I have been a customer of Great Neck Chemists for more than 20 years. I have chosen to do my pharmacy business with a local small pharmacy supporting local small businesses. I never thought about the service they provided until now. It was always adequate. Today I asked for what I thought was a courtesy that any business would offer a very long time customer. I was verbally attacked by the owner Frank. He was so disrespectful to me. He clearly never appreciated the tens of thousands of dollars of business we have given him all of these years. this rating goes to the billing department! No returned phone calls/faxes. they have no email. Numerous times told them to bill meidcare/UHC which they never did, just kept sending me invoices with late fees. This has been going on for over a year! When I did speak to someone nothing was accomplished, just told that they were submitted but insurance didn't pay and I owe. DIDN'T PAY BECAUSE THEY NEVER SENT IT IN!!! Today I get an invoice stating that the july2014 charge was credited (she died in July) but that she owes for January 2014. REALLY? that was NEVER submitted to insurance either. VERY FRUSTRATING. worse is that now reading other reviews, this has happened numerous times before. RECOMMEN; finding another pharmacy! read more

I've only been here once since all of the pharmacists in my area didn't have what I was looking for. When I got there, they helped me right away, showed me a variety of options to fit my needs, and had me try on a few different ones. When he rang me up, he even gave me a 15% discount! Very unprofessional demeanor on the phone. Issue with billing on my deceased mom's account was met with indignation; only interested in when I would pay the bill. Actually offered to fax over the contract so I could read that I am liable for the charges. I called following mom's passing to see if there was an open amount due; I was told no, until I received an invoice yesterday. I was told that when I called it was between billing cycles; sorry that mom was so inconsiderate to pass away when it was inconvenient. By the way, not even a mention of condolences. And, one more thing, watch what they charge on OTC items. I have complained numerous times over the years about charging ridiculous amounts for baby aspirin.
