CVS pharmacy in Roslyn Heights, what can I really say that has not been said before about this ridiculous Soup line service wait and they close right smack of the middle of the day to take lunch for only half an hour which doesn't make any sense for the employees or the customers, But somebody please reorganize the store move the pharmacy to the front since you don't have cashiers anymore and everything is self check out in the store. People only really come in there to get their medication. They're not really there Shop for anything else everything is bought on Amazon these days The lines are ridiculous at the pharmacy that should not be the case. People just want to get their medication and go home the wait is ridiculous. The pharmacy is a nightmare! I had one pharmacist tell me that my flu shot was going to cost $68.....I am on Medicare! I came back another day and it was covered for free. Today I went in for another vaccination and the area where they were providing them looked like this....Filthy dirty tablecloth....empty used vaccine bottle...broken dirty basket with every box of supplies open. I left but not before speaking to the pharmacist on duty and the store manager who didn't seem particularly concerned but apologized. read more

super terrible and ridiculous place! I've wait for more than 2 hours for my daughters medicine. I've checked with three staff over there, all of them told me there's nothing comes up yet, just wait for 30 mins maybe, and then another 30mins, and then extra 10mins again!!!!!!!! Finally, one of them told me that they needs to filling the medicine, just wait there and someone will call my name. I just seating there and nobody calling me!!!!! The most ridiculous part is that one guy said: we called your name long ago. ?????!! Oh, wow! "Wonderful job"! Long ago? Called? I'm not deaf! That's fucking ridiculous! I don't like the fact that someone in the pharmacy said to a customer who needed and asked for help "sorry, I'm off the clock" even if she's still doing something like filing or fixing something with her papers. If she's off the clock she should not stay visible from the customers. read more

This place is always super busy. The following are in this mini strip mall: Deli, Fancy clothes store for girls, CVS, Starbucks, Cleaners and a Fancy Florist/gift stuff. The parking is small and most shopping here think they are the only ones on the planet. This is another one of those "personal shopper" CVS stores. The managers and supervisors handle all of the customers extremely well considering they need to buy a clue most of the time. Ladies, please do not ask a man which eye cream or day cream or night cream to buy. Most guys do not care which cream they get and most do not even get a face cream. They use soap. Also, take a little time and learn to use the picture kiosk. Go to the CVS on an off hour and educate yourself. It is called self service for a reason. Most customers have no clue what a CVS employee has to deal with for such a small amount of pay, That stuff on the shelf does not get off the truck and on to the shelves magically. Its hard work and the employees do it 24/7. So maybe your CVS is not open 24/7, but I can bet there is someone in there working and stocking the store. Truck arrive at all hours and the employees unload pallots of the stuff we buy. Then they sort it and take it to the floor. They have a certain time period to get it to the floor or the store gets bad reviews. So in closing, most CVS stores do a lot of things behind the scenes no customers know about, with a very small crew of people. If you notice there are less and less employees in a CVS store its because of EXTREME cut backs by the company. So give that CVS employee a little love this season and a thank you! When I went to get it at this Roslyn Heights Ny pharmacy . There was a big line . But the cashier keep helping people that pharmacy just god their prescription. The problem was that they were about 12 people on line and maybe 2-3 patients that they had a new prescription. Instead of Maybe open extra register they were more concern about those 3 patients . The pharmacy at this location is impossible to reach by phone. It took five minutes fighting my way through the automated phone system to even figure out how to get put on hold, then I was on hold for ten minutes before giving up. So I went down to the pharmacy and they were fully staffed with a half dozen people behind the pharmacy counter. Outrageous. CVS FIX YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please treat your customers with at least a sliver of respect. People are calling the pharmacy about issues related to medical care. How can you brush them off like this? So we have to drive to the pharmacy just to ask a question? I called Greenvale Pharmacy next, an old school local/small business, and they answered the phone immediately and were very helpful. I have been going for years to this CVS for all my prescriptions. This past Friday I was home sick with Streph. Went to check with them to see when my prescription was ready. They said they never got a call-in or email from my doctor. I asked if they could call my doctor to get the prescription. The Pharmacist said no we are busy you are going to have to call them. I looked around and they weren't that busy at that moment. I said it will only take a minute to call. She said no you will have to call. I have never had a pharmacist say no to me before and they just did it while I was standing there. I am going to transfer all my prescriptions from this CVS to another CVS. I hope it doesn't happen with another CVS. read more

As a city-dweller, this is one of the best CVS/pharmacies, let alone drugstores and pharmacies, that I know of. All the aisles have plenty of space in them. The pharmacy in the back can take up to three or four people at a time, and I've had Pre-Med friends who've interned there. The guy who's always back there in charge named Pat is always giving advice and assistance that my high maintenance mother adores him for. Strangely, though, for the great open space it has, for the wide selection that it's able to display efficiently and without clutter, and the neighboring Starbuck's and grocery store, it never seems that busy. Maybe 10 to 15 customers is the most I've seen at once. They still manage to have lines, like other drugstores, with one if not seldom two people at the front registers, but otherwise it's an above-average, pretty clean store. read more

I used to come to this cvs to have my film developed- when one-hour photo processings and printing was offered. I had a good working relationship with the young man working the machines who was interested in phtography and cared about his work. Now what can you expect to find from the employees, an enthusiasm in overpriced toothbrushes, cheap toys you can find other places for one dollar? CVS could catch up a bit and offer some organic products but it feels like the anytown usa pharmacy out for profit. Still, when i want to find a brush or a hairtie, i know where to go. Me and my family go there,it is convenient because we live very close so we can buy milk when we're out,also the employees there are kind and helpful. We have no problems there, as we know where to find the things we need. There are great school supplies there,but I personally think they are little bit too expensive,as my kids go there with me to buy them. There are snacks that you can buy l,also candy for children. But the most convenient thing about is that they are 24 hour (24/7) so whenever I leave for work I check if there is any milk left if there isn't,after work I go there at 10:30 or 11:00 to buy 2 gallons of milk for my kids. This is my closest local CVS but not the closest pharmacy to my house. But I come here anyway. The staff here is super nice. You're greeted when you walk in, you're thanked and greeted when you walk out. The pharmacy is amazing. They KNOW you, they care about you, they know your history of medicines and they make sure you don't take new meds with conflicting meds that shouldn't be taken together. They make an effort to make sure you're aware. You don't get that kind of attentiveness at just any CVS or other chain pharmacy/drugstore. They've made a loyal customer of me. read more

just had one of the most unbelievable experiences here. went in to pick up a couple things with my very obvious reusable trader joes shopping bag in hand. grabbed some vitamins and band aids, before heading over to get some dishwasher detergent. before i could get there, i was confronted with 3 cvs employees who accused me of shoplifting. it was almost surreal. some knucklehead in a tweed blazer trying to be a tough guy, with all the self-righteous smugness of some over-acted sitcom character. i just laughed, since i have never seen someone so comically over - confident, while being so incredibly wrong. i dont know what a shoplifter looks like, but apparently "looking around" was my big tell! yes, looking around your store for things that i need to buy. it's crazy...i wasnt even anywhere near an exit or even approaching one! i have never had anyone treat me so poorly while trying to patronize their establishment. all for trying to be responsible and using my own shopping bag. won't be returning to this store. what a joke! read more

We all know they are over priced but it is convenient. Staff is friendly. No complaints. One guy with long curly hair, he makes it s point to greet you upon arrival and departure. When my photos showed On the screen he said now just choose The one you want. I thanked him , Choose 63 photos clicked on continue Bottom and paid my bill.
