Incompetent customer service. Incompetent time management. Always. Their appointment times mean nothing at all. No communication with customers waiting for vaccinations when the wait will be an hour past appointment time...with no one waiting ahead of you! And the pharmacist is dismissive, too good for you, and way too busy to bother with mere patients. Other staff are fine, but complain about the slow computer system when trying to help you. Pharmacy is the worst here kept getting text about my one time only medicine need to refill I never reply refill and a few days later they attempt to call my doctor to refill my prescription WITHOUT my approval was never notified that they will call my doctor to refill it pretty sure it's an insurance fraud I call them to let them know they shouldn't be refilling my prescription without my approval let alone call my doctor to request more refill without my approval and the guy said we can do whatever we want and hung up on me yeah time to change pharmacy that won't scam my insurance read more

Every time you come here they make you wait an hour for your medicine even though it's put in days before they tell you it's not ready this place nobody works fast and they don't give a shit . My family frequent this drug store due to its proximity with my parents home in Douglaston. Has the usual stuff in a Duane Reade, or CVS. Not too crowded or busy, but what sets this place apart is the pharmacist Maria, and the staff. Very polite and helpful, and knows us by name. Parking on the side and the back. Due to the crazy weather we've been having, their main entrance to the parking lot has the largest pothole in history...I've seen Smart Cars sucked into it! read more

Co-sign with what KC said. The main store is acceptable, I suppose (they have good greeting cards), but the pharmacy department is in a sorry state of disarray. I've been charged for medications I shouldn't have been charged for, forced to wait 30 minutes only to be told "Oh...yeah. Sorry, we can't give you this medication because it hasn't been 30 days since you last filled it out yet". They also seem to be out of stock a lot. Overall, most of the people working in the pharm department don't seem to know what they're doing. I haven't been given the wrong meds (yet), but definitely keep your eyes open before, during and after they ring you up to make sure they don't make a mistake. read more

New manager of the pharmacy at this location should not be in the health field. Very unconcerned manager. I left my home to go to work in Douglaston,30 miles from where I live and forgot to take my BP meds. I asked for one pill which every other manager was able to give me one pill to tide me over. I order at least 6 meds from them and been a customer for 30 years. This manager refused!! . I am in the health field as well and never been treated this way. read more

A very complete drug store. Always has been open, whenever I go early or late, and has a complete pharmacy, card aisle, everything. I think places like this are kind of fun to just roam around and get shit at discount prices, but maybe that just makes me a huge loser. You could always get cheap drinks, junk food, etc. And all those things that just kind of come up, like contact fluid and other semi-necessities. A good shop to have around, no doubt. read more

This pharmacy failed again ! I took my prescription to them on Last Friday 01/23/15. They told me they don't have it in stock and have to order it. It will come on next Monday 01/26/15. On Monday We have a snow storm. so, I went to pick it up on Sunday 02/01/15 . Which is 9 days after I drop the prescription off. Guest what! The lady told me that they didn't order it for me. At that time, I just asked her to give my prescription back and walked away. How can a pharmacy so careless and so unresponsible!!!!! Store is very clean and staff always so helpful and friendly. Prices are always higher at this store as compared to other stores in the area, but unlike CVS douglaston, you can actually find a parking spot and not have to wait 5-10 mins for a spot. read more

I helped a gentelman to walk to Duane Reade today with severe asthma attack, who was asking for emergency inhaler. Pharmacist Stephanie was the most unhelpful person, who even didn't offer to call 911. This man couldn't breathe. I though he would collaplse on the floor. The pharmacist was very rude. Stephanie didn't provide any helpful information, neither she offered any help to this gentleman. She didnt contact the doctor, provider or anything. On a top of everything she had a horrible attitude. I guess she wasn't trained as a pharmacist how to handle emergency situations. Neither she knows a protocol. And it can be your family member. i live in the neighborhood, so if i'm desperate or in urgent need of something i'll go to this drug store. but seriously, do yourself a favor and avoid these people. the customer service is god awful. i had to carry two heavy 24-pack boxes of bottled water out to my car because not a single worker had the decency or concept of customer service, to ask if i needed help to carry them out. (their shopping carts are too big to go past the doors). not to mention, the girls who work the cash registers... um, if you want to tell me to have a nice day, you can go ahead and say that instead of robotically reciting at high-speed the same phrase over and over. please, i'd rather you not tell me anything at all. read more
