CVS is dirty inside and outside. The pharmacy is always backlogged. I called the pharmacy to make sure my mom's prescription was ready. They confirmed they were ready for pick up. Today, the drive through assistant had me wait 15 only to tell me they would need another 15 minutes to complete my prescription. Terrible service read more

Not every experience at any store 100% great, and I don't always have a good experience at this store but today, at this CVS, my experience was amazing. I needed an antibiotic and went to an Urgent Care. After I was prescribed the antibiotic I didn't see it show up on my app. I called the Urgent Care and they told me they sent it over twice. Gave it over an hour and a half since being prescribed to go up to the pharmacy and see what was going on. Went to the consulting line after confirming my prescription wasn't even sent over and spoke to Diana. I have met Diana many times and have always had a pleasant experience (taking into account that she is being run around that pharmacy a lot). Today she went above and beyond and called the Urgent Care and took the prescription right over the phone. It was done and ready in 5 minutes! read more

For any of my fellow asthma folks out there, there's no worse feeling then when you need your inhaler and either can't find it or it's running very low. I've learned over the years the best cure for that is prevention so I anytime my emergency inhaler or my daily inhaler approaches the half-way point, I'm on the phone with my doctor trying to get a new prescription ready. This CVS has been my go-to pharmacy as when I need to pick something up, I usually go early right before I go to the gym. Sure there's often a line later in the day but that's to be expected, so just plan accordingly and remember that everyone is there for the same reason you are, and no one actually enjoys being on line. On Sunday morning I realized my daily inhaler was well below 50%, actually closer to 5% (C'mon Jared!) so I phoned my doc and went through the drive-through. I must have timed it perfectly because it was ready in two minutes. I was tempted to visit the Tbell drive-thru next fir a quick cheesy gordita crunch (after reading a great review from a fellow Elite yesterday) but decided to go straight to the gym instead. read more

Convenience store? I don't think it is very convenient for those that need assistance getting around. Why can't you ever find a shopping cart here? If you go in with a cane to get around it is difficult to handle a hand basket and a cane and retrieve what you need from a shelf. How about you become truly convenient and get some shopping carts and while you're at it clear the aisles a bit so people in wheelchairs can get through them. This pharmacy is incompetent. Whenever the doctor changes the dose, they will not fill it with the new dose. They need to verify a change was made and they do not update the computer system properly so on the next renewal, they revert back to the wrong dosage for refill. Furthermore, they are out of stock on a few medications so there's always a day or two delay on getting the prescription filled. Lastly, they do not pick up on phone calls. I once called on two separate days with a hold time over 1/2 hour until I hung up. I then called the front store to speak with someone and the same thing happened. No one answered the phone. The store is not well stocked and everything is under lock and key. We know why but that discourages browsing and buying. After being a customer for over 20 years I have noticed a terrible downturn in customer service. I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have been coming to this CVS for many years and it has gotten a lot better than it used to be. They improved on having sale items in stock which is very important to me. Also I had noticed over the years that when the line gets long they call for help off the floor to open registers to get the line moving. Another great improvement. I find the staff very friendly, efficient and always willing to help you. I f there is an item not on the shelf they will go in the back to see if it's in stock. Also they have great sales and with their promotions and coupons you can save a lot of money. This helps so I'll have extra funds to go out to restaurants to enjoy the food and atmosphere and conduct reviews. For all this they get 5 Stars. read more

It was our first visit to this NHP location. We went in booster shots. We waited 20 min. past our appointment even though there was no one at the pharmacy when we arrived. I am writing this more for the female staff who has to use the very dirty unsanitary bathroom on a daily basis. This bathroom room was so grimy it reminded me of an old gas station. The germy grime in the toilet & the sink would can only be at that level if it hasn't been cleaned in days. The floor was littered with hair & paper. I hope management would pick up the slack & provide a clean bathroom for their employees. I still appreciate the fact that there was a facility. read more

This CVS location is extremely convenient. I recently started using this pharmacy, (instead of using a mail order pharmacy), and every time that I pick up my prescriptions...it's been a problem. Apparently ... the staff created "multiple profiles" for me, and every time I come in to pick up my Rx.. they always have a hard time locating my account.. Then when they finally find my profile.. they have to open my Rx ...and recount the pills again ....while I wait because of the profile issues that no one cares enough to resolve.. It's a shame... because the location is really convenient... the price is right... but its inconvenience of waiting for them to try to locate me in their system every month is annoying. read more

I would have given a zero if not for the kind lady at the register. l made a store pickup order online today for La Roche Posay 10% Pure Niacinamide Serum ($39.99). I used my 40% coupon, and $10+ of cash rewards accumulated in my account. After I picked up my order and returned home, I found that I was given the wrong item - La Roche Posay Moisturizer ($20). I brought the item back for an exchange. It turned out the serum was out of stock and in fact, the staff was aware of it while packing it. Staff informed the store manager (staff showed me the text messages that they had) and asked if they should cancel the order, but the manager advised her to keep the order. It is totally irresponsible and dishonestly. Store manager decided to "CHEAT" on the customer by giving an item that is half of the price of the original item. I bet he/she hoped the customer would just keep an unwanted item and not returning it?! It wasted my whole hour making another trip to the store, dealing with the issue and not receiving the item I purchased! I was also told that I was not the only customer who is experiencing this treatment. The store manager had done the same for other orders that were out-of-stock but he/she would advise the staff just pack something else. I will never go back there. I advise everyone not to use store-pickup purchase here, go to another location or just do a store purchase yourself. read more

CVS at 310 Hillside Avenue New Hyde Park NY I can honestly say that they are the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I was forced to use them bc they put my local pharmacy out of business. I get text messages that are incorrect. Like being told my meds are ready, and when I call I'm told they're not ready. I have a number of chronic serious conditions. I cannot be without my meds. But calling them means a 15 minute wait until I can speak to the most unfriendly pharmacist, who cannot answer my simple questions and then sounds annoyed and she hangs up the phone before I finish. THE WORST CONSUMER SERVICE of any pharmacy. My wife has gone to pick-up my meds. She said the lines are extremely long and slow. They have a number of cash registers, but only one pharmacist! We are looking into other pharmacies in our area. Dealing with CVS is so frustrating and unfriendly. So needless to say; I CANNOT RECOMMEND CVS STORE 3104. I HAVE NOT HAD ONE GOOD EXPERIENCE. I had to take the time tonight to say what a dedicated and really caring pharmacist Diana from CVS at 310 Hillside Ave NHP NY is. My husband and I have been using this Pharmacy for years. I'm not going to lie and say we switched a few times because we just felt like we didn't matter, but, I am on some medications that if taken incorrectly or interacted with other meds could be fatal. My Dr. Had increased the dosage if one of my meds and my husband went to pick it up through the drive thru mind you, and Diana made a point of coming to the window to advise my husband that I should only take 1 and not 2 doses because it had been increased. This is not the first time Diana has exceeded my expectations. She took the time out of her extremely busy day to call me and educate me about different interactions with different drugs. I tried to get my medication but somehow the system was down so they told me every single doctor who sent in a prescription after 3 pm yesterday did not have their messages go through. Mind you this is a lot of doctors. So my doctor sent a message three times to CVS, and never did they receive anything and now I'm two days off my antibiotics. My condition is getting worse and CVS does not have any sense of urgency whatsoever. Very irritating. read more

The store is side-facing but virtuous, packed to the brim with estrogen on line and testosterone behind the counter (reference Exhibit A). There's a winter-friendly steam machine at one point along the counter (Exhibit B) and the corporate nicety incited by the alarm: "Please return to the register so that we may complete your transaction" was semi-endearing, even if it didn't work. Pharmacy = 2 stars. This pharmacy isn't as good as it used to be. I used to have such great experiences here but I think they're short-staffed now. Wait times at the drive-thru window have been ridiculous the last few times I used it. I'm sorry, I truly hate to nit-pick, but after continued issues at this CVS location re: availability of weekly circulars, I feel the need to continue to express my disappointment. I continue to shop at this CVS location since I have no issues with their employees, availability of items, or good prices. However, absolutely nothing has changed...every time I walk in, the rack in front which is designed to hold circulars is completely bare, and as usual I have to go to the counter to beg for one that is kept in the vault (in most cases, I spare myself the aggravation and just bring one from home). My urge to update my review came on Thanksgiving Day: On Thursday I decided to do an early morning run to CVS to pick up some of the Black Friday deals that went on sale starting that morning (had seen online circular for their Black Friday deals). So at 7:30 am (on a holiday when barely anyone is out), I stroll into CVS and of course the circular rack is empty...no surprises there. As I face the front counter (store was empty), I saw employee engaged in reviewing the Black Friday ad. I asked if I could get a copy, and he gave me copy he was holding...he went on to say that this was the only copy he had. As a tear came to his eye, I assured him that I would return it back to him when I finished shopping. Of course I had to throw in my "Wow, they never give you guys enough circulars" comment, and his response was, "We only get a limited amount". Limited amount?? Dude, it is 07:30 in the morning on the day the sale starts...it is a holiday and no one is in the store. You mean to tell me that an hour after sunrise you have only 1 circular left on the day the sale starts?? Wow. My main frustration is that there are 2 competing pharmacies right across the street in walking distance (Walgreens & Rite Aid), both of which have tons of weekly circulars upon your arrival. I honestly do not comprehend why CVS is having such a tough time providing this to their shoppers. read more

This store has a serious customer relations problem and has had it for years. The employees and managers are not friendly and mostly look and act like they are miserable. Today I went to buy Nexium which is locked up on a shelf near the back of the store. I asked the cashier who was not busy when I walked in to assist me in getting it. He walked over with me and I told him which one I wanted and he retrieved it but then said he would hold it behind the counter instead of just handing it to me. I guess they lock this item up because some people might take a bunch of them without paying but this clerk presumed that it was a risk to hand me an item that would cost me $11.99. I wouldn't even give this place one star. I ordered a picture frame and a photo online that was supposed to be made the same day. I ordered this at 10 AM and was told it would be ready by 2PM. I called to just make sure everything was being done, because I understand things happen. I call and get put on hold to then get disconnected. I call again and talk to someone else who explains that who is in charge of doing photos is not there today and my order will not be processed until the next day. Being that I needed the order today I just wanted to cancel the order, since now I don't have time to wait for the order to be completed by someone else now at 1PM. I then get disconnected or hung up on again... so I called again and asked to speak to a manager which happened to be the first person I talked to. She answers the phone starting with- Listen we didn't see that your order was placed until 12 PM... She didn't even ask who I was to know I was the same customer. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CANCEL THE ORDER and she was saying how I was never disconnected the first time... trying to make up excuses when I truly didn't care and just wanted my money back. She wouldn't let me talk and kept interrupting me. I addressed how she was speaking poorly to me when I wasn't even trying to cause trouble, but to just make sure my order was canceled for a service I would not be receiving. The fact that she said I didn't call her twice but yelled at the guy while I was speaking in the background saying she says you hung up on her twice is so pathetic. If she just listened to me and didn't come out of the cage like a wild animal from the start that whole conversation would have gone a whole lot faster. I think she thought I was trying to complain that my order wasn't being processed or that I was mad I wasn't notified but I was truly just trying to cancel my order and if she would have just shut her mouth for 5 seconds and listened she would have understood. read more

Not bad when you need last minute small items. The place has a parking lot that is oddly shaped and can fill up quickly once the 9 to 5 people get off work. The store is 24 hours which can be convenient. The pharmacy is generally 6 am to 10 pm. Deals can be hit or miss. read more
