CVS provides a pharmacy for prescription and OTC medicine. They are as any other big chain, ALMOST! YES, they provide food, toiletries, first aid supplies, card of all sort, and they are very big on holiday involvement. Especially Valentine's, Halloween, and Christmas. One thing they stop offering which is the sole reason I stop purchasing anything from any CVS. That would be one on one check out. They force you to use the kiosk and are very persistent. That's acceptable for those who don't mind using kiosk. My visit today was to use the ATM without the additional ATM fees. I use the ALL POINTS network! It's all good though... Went in to get my prescription at 1:23pm. One lady taking forever at the register while 6 employees are mingling in the back. One finally opens up the other register and asks if I have my insurance card to see if insurance covers it. I said I didn't and she's like well, we're closing in 4 minutes. I get a picture of my insurance card within the minute, get back in line and get dismissed by the other lady. Waited back in another line to be told that I have to come back later because "The systems are all shutting down." Apparently, they were all in such a rush to go to lunch. In the end, I didn't get my prescription and I don't live near that location. Picking up my meds tomorrow and changing my pharmacy asap! Worst customer service ever. read more

I should have written a review for this beung the worse pharmacy ever. I have complained to the corporate office asking that a district or regional manager call ne in regard to my complaint and corporate has the person I complained about, call me. Wtf? Theee was a manager there named "Lady", dumber than dumb. Pharmacy personnel SUCK, they have no regard for anyone that is sick. I waited on the drive-Thru for 10 minutes with one car in front of me. I called the pharmacy while waiting so long, brainless pharmacist answers and he tells me the car in front of me is having an issue with their insurance. We'll tell them to go inside you dumb fk, there were 8 cars behind me. I had to get out of my car and get everyone to back up and then I had to go inside and I HAD COVID. How does this guy Mike have a degree to sell meds? Today was the worse, but that's okay cause CVS just lost a customer FOREVER! The rudeness, disrespect and lack of empathy in that pharmacy can turn your stomach. There are very specific people who should not be working for CVS, to include the dumb fks in corporate. read more

This review is specific to getting the COVID-19 vaccine at CVS. Having seen a couple of locations (the other is the Jones Beach mass vaccination site, which is run with support from the national guard), I can say that my experience at CVS was very pleasant and really well organized. In both cases I received the Pfizer vaccine. On my first visit, which was at the end of the day, the location was a little backed up, so I had to wait about 10 minutes (by comparison, I waited 45 minutes at Jones Beach with my wife a couple months back when she became eligible). The check-in process was very smooth (much of it done on your own phone), and the pharmacists administering the vaccine were incredibly caring and had great bedside manner. After getting the vaccine (I literally didn't feel the needle at all the first dose, with just a slight pinch the second dose), they move you to a waiting area nearby and set a timer for 15 minutes, at which point you're free to leave if you're feeling well. It's interesting to see how they transformed a few aisles into a sort of mini vaccine center so enough people can wait out a potential reaction. The great part about the setup was that it allowed us recipients to chat with each other. There's definitely a real sense of optimism and relief in that waiting section. I also appreciated how every 2-3 minutes a pharmacist would walk around to ask how everyone was feeling. For my second dose, I checked in online 15 minutes prior to my appointment (the earliest I could check in) and found that the wait was just a couple of minutes. Again, a caring pharmacist gave me the vaccine and had me wait with a timer for 15 minutes. What I appreciated about getting the vaccine here was the intimacy. Jones Beach, while incredibly well run, was so large and militaristic that it could be a bit intimidating. Coming to a local pharmacy, waiting with just a few neighbors, and getting the more personal care from the pharmacists was a great experience. It was a decent store and the staff were ok. The parking lot is shared by Starbucks and the lot needs to be cleaned -- no fault of their own I guess ;). read more

Franklin Square NY store: what is the point of having vaccine appointments with several emails and text reminders? I had an appointment for my elderly parents for 10:00 vaccinations only to be told that the clinic hours have been changed to begin at 11:00. Why could they not inform me that this has changed? They have my email and all contact information! They had 3 weeks to let everyone know (this is my parents' 2nd dose). There were other people there who were also scheduled for 10:00 appointments! I had to take time off from work to take my parents there! And on top of that, the employee managing the appointments at check-in couldn't even say a basic "sorry"! She had to be rude about it like it's my fault that I didn't know that the clinic hours changed! It's not like my elderly parents can stand around for an hour unnecessarily exposing themselves to Covid!!! read more

This store has the worse customer service in the pharmacy. The agents are running around to the point that they forget the customers in the store. The back of the store is gross and dirty. I am considering getting my prescriptions filled elsewhere. Beware of buying too much. They frequently don't have paper shopping bags. You are on your own. read more

The worst store experience. Went in last night at 6:50 pm. Standing at cashier line, waiting a period of time. I had to inform store employee standing several feet away that I needed a cashier to check me out. She told me the cashier was helping someone with their passport and I had to check myself out. Apparently her job was to stand there doing absolutely nothing while I used the self-checkout. Had I not needed the items that night, I would have just left them in the counter and left. The following day I called the corporate office to complain about this ridiculous non-customer service, I was put on hold and no one answered. After about five minutes, I had to hang up. I say the following as someone who worked in retail for 9 years, some of that time as a manager for CVS- avoid this particular store at all costs. Ever since Garth left, the service has been going downhill. Cashiers are always pointing customers to self-checkout, perhaps because they don't want to be bothered to ring up the customers. Tonight a cashier named Sarah refused to move some boxes behind the counter and look for formula for me. Apparently she is an important person because she proceeded to ignore me and instead spoke on a headset to a coworker. This coworker who may be a manager or assistant has short black hair and glasses. I have never gotten her name because over the last few weeks whenever I ask her a question, she never faces me when she responds. She always rudely answers over her shoulder like she's too busy to fully acknowledge customers. I've also overheard her rudely talk about customers to Sarah while they were still in the store but out of earshot. I am now forced to drive out of my town to go to another CVS for my needs because of the uncomfortable and unprofessional way I have been treated, and seen others treated as well. read more

So I came here yesterday after visiting the urgent care right next door to pick up medication from the pharmacy. After i got my medication I met up with my wife who was finishing up at the self checkout. As she was finishing up i get on the phone to call my father to pick us up because i was so severely ill i was in no condition to drive. The heavyset employee with glasses standing behind the register says to us "why is SHE the one carrying the bags?" We both tell her I just came from urgent care, Im very sick and I came to pick up meds that I was holding in my hand. Her response was "well you need to man up and be a gentleman." I was so weak and not thinking straight so I didnt really respond to her properly. But that employee needs to mind her own business and not be disrespectful to the customers. We were at SELF checkout and not asking for help whatsoever. Dont stick your nose in our business especially when you have no idea what is going on with your customers medically and physically. read more

I have used this CVS for years and appreciate the 24 hour convenience. The store and pharmacy have for the most part have been okay. I recently had experience poor service and was misled(intentionally or not) multiple times regarding a delivery from the pharmacy. My schedule does not allow for me to easily stop by the pharmacy and the corporation offers a customer a service that the store pharmacist or employees should learn to use. Please do not say it is not possible when this very location has facilitated my delivery before. Inability to use a system should not be transparent to the customer or cause an inconvenience to the customer. When I called corporate the rep. was able to schedule my delivery and it was set to come the next day with a tracking number however the next day the pharmacy is unable to process. If delivery is not an option from this store I can fill my prescription elsewhere which is not a problem. Transpareancy and honesty, especially coming from a pharmacy even if it is something as simple as delivery, should be provided to customer. Again, this is one experience but it was very disappointing and hope it happens to no one else. read more

I called the CVS pharmacy located at 640 Franklin Square and the people for the COVID hotline were rude and very unhelpful. I tried three times to call and schedule an appointment for my COVID shot and was hung up on. I immediately went into the store and spoke to a Stephanie in pharmacy when I needed to make a complaint to Chris who is the manager. Unfortunately, he was not there even though I was told otherwise. The people at this location are very lazy and incompetent and there was no sense of care. I would advise anyone to go to any other CVS pharmacy but this if you care for respect and competency. I am seeking other actions to have the people take accountability for their actions. The lady Megan (Mars another alias name she gave) who hung up on me several times on the COVID hotline needs to be held accountable. If she regarded her position she would not have been so nasty in dealing with customers. We are facing a pandemic and we don't need people on the front lines who are not patient and or helpful in creating a peaceful environment; providing the best service in helping people schedule their shots. read more

I came to this CVS to do a money gram for the first time and the person behind the register was very helpful compared to the other CVS's that I went to the other day. the money gram machine was not working when i went over the weekend at different cvs locations and they did not let me know that if one CVS money gram machine is down, that means all of them are down so I am very thankful for the guy that was working at this CVS this morning and I wish I could remember his name because he was very helpful and so nice. read more

Ran in here while I was babysitting nice clean store very friendly staff as soon as u enter they welcomed me in. Also asked if I needed anything . They have good sale prices and I alway compare them to Walgreens .i have a cvs card with them and I received emails on specials and discounts. I always swipe my card at the machine in the front of the store and more discount coupons come out for your shopping pleasure . The isles are always stacked well I never have any problem with something out of stock. read more

I go to cvs atleast once a week, either this one or the one on Hempstead turnpike. I have two things to say, the older tall black man has got to be one of the kindest, funniest cashiers I have ever met but the new black girl with the braids who wears blue gloves is a rude miserable girl. If I didn't want to go to jail I would of jumped over the counter and broke her nose. If you do not like to interact/deal/acknowledge people then WTF are you doing working as a cashier which includes doing all of the above. Go to school or something. I will NEVER again use this pharmacy!! They gave me the wrong prescription I had assumed it was a generic after taking it I was sick for a few days, when I contacted the pharmacy they said they would contact my doctor and call me with In two hours. They NEVER contacted my doctor, when I called her she said the only message she had gotten was from me not them. She had spoke to the manager who only found out 5 hours after I called what was going on, she was extremely apologetic towards the situation! I was more upset that this mistake could of been life threatening a pharmacist who is In charge of meds made a mess up on a prepackaged medicine and NOTHING was done. The fact when I called my doctor & manager weren't notified ASAP!! They waited what the manager said was 45 minutes to call my doctor which was false because she said THEY ONLY GOT MY CALL and MESSAGE! Careless and extremely unprofessional lesson learned I will never assume it's generic. Just be completely aware of your meds before you leave the store for your own safety! read more
