This location has an okay-ish stock of products. But if you're looking for some random stuff, they might not have it in stock. Definitely gets busy though during the day. Always a long line of people waiting to pay at the counter. Wishing that they would've self-checkout to speed up things. I think they really need it. Staff's service is a hit or miss, you might end up getting a rude cashier sometimes. But that's on them, not you. Most staff members I've encountered, including security guards are decent. One thing I've been starting to notice over the years, more beauty and oral care sections towards the windows are getting locked up with plastic shields and shelves. You'll see it all over the makeup + skincare + even toothpaste. Now, they've got the "press button for assistance" installed all over the upper floor of Duane Reade.

My doctor was around the neighborhood so I had him send my prescription over to this place for me to pick up. I had to wait 10 minutes for my meds but ended up shopping around for 45 minutes; I walked by a ton of things that I found useful so ended up purchasing them to save a trip elsewhere. Prices here seem to be cheaper or on par with other stores around the neighborhood. The pharmacy has a delivery service which can be very convenient but I think I'd prefer to come into the store to shop and check out whats new. Seems like they dedicate a whole room for seasonal, holiday and back to school times which is a plus. Everything was stocked up neatly and easy to find. The staff was attentive and aware of customers; very nice and friendly. Overall satisfied with my experience here and def would recommend.

Worst pharmacy experience I've ever had…read more I was picking up a prescription with a $1 copay and didn't have cash with me, so I asked if I could use Apple Pay. I was told there was a $15 minimum for card payments, which seemed unreasonable for a pharmacy transaction. One of the employees even suggested charging me a little extra to cover the credit card processing fee, but that option was also refused. What was most upsetting was being told, "You're getting a government-funded medication," as if that somehow justified the way I was being treated. My insurance coverage should have nothing to do with the level of respect and customer service I receive. The interaction felt dismissive and discriminatory, and I left feeling embarrassed over a $1 copay. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of how their medication is paid for. If I could give zero stars, I would. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone who expects basic courtesy and respect.
