Pick another pharmacy! The worst Walgreens pharmacy ever. I have been a Walgreens customer for well over twenty years, and this pharmacy consistently disappoints. From the rude manager Satima/Fatima (unsure because of the attitude in which she said her name) to the incompetent pharmacist who sits there while everyone is trying to save the ship from sinking. There is always an excuse as to why my family's prescriptions are never ready. From requiring physicians to send in scripts multiple times, to not checking their delivery orders on time before their extremely early cut-off time. If it weren't because our insurance demands we use them, we would've gone to CVS or Vitality Drugs, all of which have better service. read more

Review is for their pharmacy: Grateful that it is within distance from my home and opened late on this Sunday visit. The branch is open until 8:30 PM ( both indoor and drive in service) during Sundays, other pharmacies are normally open till 6 PM only. Store management really needs to work on outside front appearance. Landscaping (bushes in front of parking lot) is out of control . It is overgrown and filled with trash . I have been going to this Walgreens for over 5 years. They usually have sale items in stock for the most part and if an item isn't on the floor they will go and check to see if they have it in the back or will of course give you a raincheck. They are also always aware of the lines on the registers and will call other staff up to open if they get too long. Since I have been going to this Walgreens for so long I have gotten to know most of the staff and I have found them to be efficient, courteous and friendly. It's amazing when you treat people like they should be treated the response is like. Their pharmacy is also very good and efficient. I always get texts, e-mails and phone calls when my prescriptions are ready. Walgreens is a major chain so I can use them anywhere in the country. Once I was in Florida I needed to fill a prescription and I was treated like a regular customer. I gave them my insurance information and once that was completed I was in the entire Walgreens system. From that point on I could go to any Walgreens in the country and have my prescriptions filled. Shortly after that we stated to use Walgreens for our prescriptions, it has been much better than where we were going because of the hours of operation and the availability of store locations. read more

The pharmacy staff are clueless and disorganized. Don't expect anyone there to help resolve any rx issues. Be prepared to make all phone calls yourself to insurance and doctors when issues arise. They have proved themselves to be inadequate in this regard time and time again. I am in the process of changing pharmacies right now. read more

I went two days back Walgreens I m not sure but I think it's hillside location near stop n shop. I did lot of shopping n still want to do some more but it was really emergency I want to use rest room . I asked staff in store n pharmacy but they said restroom not allowed due to covid. If rest room not allowed in emergency to customers y they want business in covid n store open for there business. This store is a bit far for me because of the location. I have to travel a bit far. The staff who works there, try their best to accommodate and help people. I sometimes need help trying to figure out which items I can get that's on sale, I appreciate when someone comes and tries to help me. This young woman, forgot her name is the person I go to when trying to buy certain items. I bought the Me Bath lotion because this is the only store I happen to see this item. The only thing is that the location is a bit awkward for me. I think this store can order some extra items which customers will actually buy and use. So, I needed another refill...I called Walgreen's as I was heading into a meeting, and unfortunately got Michelle the pharmacy tech again...uggh.... I had called the pharmacy so that I could fax or scan a copy of my Rx so they could begin to fill them. I told Michelle that I would bring the original when I picked up my RX, but NO, she denied my request, and told me to bring in my Rx or that I could call my doctor and have him call it in. At no point in time did she offer to call my doctor or how about just prepare my Rx, and accept the original when I come to pick it up? I was forced to leave work and physically bring this poor excuse for an employee the prescription, so that I could make HER job easier. Michelle is just and rude and unaccommodating and should be FIRED as she is misrepresenting Walgreens with her less than professional attitude. read more

The pharmacists are so stupid; it's unbelievable. Rarely, do they ever get new prescriptions or refills right. It's pathetic. They should remember that the welfare of their customers depend on them. Sad update to my love affair with this store. First, I must state that the cashiers in this location have always been top notch. Always polite, always helpful. The female night "manager" should be taking lessons from them. Had a question about the purchase of cigarettes and she felt it acceptable to treat me poorly. It was 11pm and when she appeared from wherever, she came in hostile and angry. Almost as though performing her job was a bother and she simply didn't want to be bothered. Guess the love affair is over, a retail establishment is only as good as it's customer service. On a managerial level, this place is sorely lacking. The sale items are never in stock here so I have to ask for a raincheck 90% of the time. The items here are also slightly more expensive than other stores. The staff here can be a hit or miss. There's a few guys in there that are extremely nice and will help find items for you in the stockroom that aren't available on the shelves. However, there's one red-haired older woman who is just plain rude. She's extremely impatient and always looks annoyed; I have never seen her smile. I purchased a pair of JVC Powerful Sound Headphones with built in Remote plus Microphone for my dad only to open the box and the Remote was missing. I called back to the Brooklyn New York store immediately spoke to the same manager that I had seen when I purchased it she told me she was going to open up another box she ended up opening up three more JVC boxes and she said none of them have the remote inside even though it says on the outside of the box it does so she said the only thing I can do is to give you your money back sauce if that's fine I'll be there tomorrow since now it's raining here in New York I suppose something else needs to be done about this I said because this is like False Advertising, all I can say to any customer that's ready to shop inside of Walgreens once you get to the counter with whatever your item maybe make sure and you pay for it make sure you open it up right then and there because now I see that Walgreens are condoning false advertising to help to deceive their paying customers. This location has gone to the dumps over the years , cashiers are not the same friendly staff, management sucks everybody is rude as heck and does not care about any customers , pharmacy is horrible i called on 2 lines was on hold over 40 minutes i was next caller they would pick up and put the receiver down on the desk for 5 minutes then put you back on hold , i called on a different line to speak to store manager the excuse he gave me was they were busy doing covid vaccines , um staffing for vaccines should be different then your pharmacy staff they were neglecting their duties as pharmacist to give vaccines and ignore customers who need medication does not sound right , the staff in this pharmacy has been a problem for years even before covid they have been clueless and rude , they call and say prescription is ready you arrive at drive through they say its not ready come back then why did you call me and say it was ready the answer we never called i said here is the voicemail i must be imagining it then i guess . All around this store went from great to horrible, seasonal items used to be the best at this store whatever the holiday it maybe they had a massive stock of items , Christmas, Halloween , Easter , New years ,Valentines day ,Mother's Day , Fathers Day . Location in New Hyde Park, NY is terrible. Cashiers are slow and in enthusiastic, they have a separate area for online pickup items and that is not staffed. Have to wait on regular line and then staff take a long time to find your order and give it to you. I love the front of this store, the pharmacy though is another story.. i suffer from depression and do not like to take chances of not taking meds regularly. This store filled my script 3 months in a row on the 29th day without me asking and now the one time i have a catering job out of town and really need on 29th day they refuse.. why is it ok when the person filling makes a mistake and does early but not for an emergency.. why do pharmacists love being control freaks .They are supposed to help people but they are sending me to buy drugs on the street for one day early to be able to accept a job offer.. i have never felt so dissapointed in faith in humanity...if i die from bad drugs or get arrested buying them, thank you walgreens... It never fails when I come to this Walgreens I either have to wait entirely way too long for something that should be a quick stop OR they mess up an order I placed for something. Recently I've been in 3-4x for photos for an event. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There is an issue with my photo order. They can't find it. It has to be reprinted. I'm asked to send the order again. Meanwhile this last time I placed the order days ago and was told it was ready, but when I walked in today... same story, can't find it. The last 2-3 photo orders has been for THREE pictures each time. Each time I'm told it's ready. Each time I get there and they're all clueless to where it could be and either reprint the order or ask me to resend it. It's just ridiculous. Not to mention every single time I've been in over the last 3 years they only ever have one cashier and a line of 6 or 7 people. I'm not one to review until it gets bad, but today was the last straw. The pharmacy clerk is hella rude. I came here to pick up a prescription, one that was not in dire need of. First off I never received a phone call saying I could pick it up. The particular medication was on back order or else I would have used my normal CVS. This Walgreens said they could order it if I drop my prescription and that when they had it they would call me....I had to call them to find out it was waiting for me. I called last Thursday and came today (Tuesday) to pick it up. The girl says "after 7 days of sitting we put it back"....but I called Thursday, and now its Tuesday, that's not a full week. She then explained it had been ready since Sunday so that's why they put it back. If they had called I would have picked it up THEN. Now I have for them to re-fill it. The 10 minutes I was told id have to wait is now going on 25, yet no one is here waiting for anything else. I'm tight. I'll stick to CVS in Bellerose where the people are friendly and the medication is always available. The cashier in the front was a doll, and the store has a lot of great things as far as drugstore concerns, but the pharmacy sucks!!! read more

Pharmacy is horrible. Every time i called they put me on hold for more than 10 mins no matter what time it is. I was calling two days back to back. I was on hold for 12 mins and i had to go in because they were not answering. I had to get the medication for my 2 month old who was really sick. They put me on hold and i walked in. At first I thought they were busy and that's why they were not answering but I was shocked when i got there I expected a line but they were too busy chatting. When the phone rang they just put it on hold. Pharmacy manager was there and she's very rude. When i got there they said doc never sent the prescription. I requested the doctor to re send it to another pharmacy they're just horrible. read more

Decent store, but management keeps reducing store hours -- first the pharmacy, and now no longer 24 hrs. This Wagreens is extremely prompt in filling and delivering prescriptions. They also remind me when a renewal is due. They have been very accommodating in adding and locating other items I may want included in delivery. They take the proper precautions to check whether I may be allergic to new prescriptions which need to be filled. This occurred several time for me, and I consider this to be lifesaving. I have enjoyed dealing with them for over 10 years, and will continue to do so. read more

Horrible staffing. Spoke to someone over the phone barely could hear her. They couldn't find my insurance info. regardless to say my insurance has not changed just came from the doctor. My daughter was vomiting and so I asked her very politely if it's possible for them to fill it quickly. Over the phone I told her there's no change in the insurance and that I will be driving over through their drive through service. And we hung up. Drove over she said I need the insurance card gave it and she quickly left with without letting me say anything then no one came back to check or tell the status. When the people started honking the pharmacist rudely said your holding up the line we told you it will take time. Did I not say my daughter is in the car with me and not feeling well and so I need the prescription quickly.
