My partner and I are in NYC this week and my goal is to visit every Lush shop in this city. Today we visited Lush at Columbus Circle at 1000 S. Eighth Ave., Unit 20. It is located underground at the market at the 59th St/Columbus Circle subway stop. PSA: It's *not* street level! Fun fact: It's not only the smallest Lush shop in the United States, it's *also* the only one located underground! When we entered, Hannah greeted us and confirmed that 80% of the phone calls she receives at the shop are "how do I find you?" (I was one of them!) She was very helpful and friendly. I love talking Lushie with people! Even though it is a very intimate space, the layout is amazing. They really know how to maximize space here! Right next to Doughnuttery you'll find Lush! The team is happy to assist & give samples to try things. The space is small, but they carry a variety of Lush products. They host bath bomb making sessions & are knowledgeable on products to recommend. No restrooms, but you can easily find one upstairs inside the "Shops at Columbus Circle" shopping center. Before heading to the recital I ran in here to pick up some items. I got my favorite sex bath bomb $7.95 I picked up two others to try Toby's magic cow bath bomb $6.95 and sleepy shower bomb $3.95. With tax it came out to $20.52. This location is in the underground section before heading to the subway. It's on the small side compared to others I've been too. Prices are reasonable. read more

The customer service here is TOP NOTCH. From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted and immediately felt welcomed. There's a lot of times when I walk into a store and feel like products get pushed on to me, but the staff here was not like that at all. I'm usually an online shopper, but today's experience may have changed me!! I can't say enough about Lorenzo. He was extremely kind, caring, and took so much time to walk me through the store, show me products that would work best for me, explained WHY they would work best for me, and aren't above and beyond to make my experience a great one. He's so knowledgeable about the products. I truly felt like I was with a friend and we were shopping together. Lorenzo understands and truly gets customer service and LUSH is incredibly lucky to have him. Would make your day better if you just stop by. I visit the store once in a while just to grab one thing and the staff remembers and greets me just off that. Always takes care of me immediately while having calm small talk. Even after a tiring day at work it doesn't bother for me to stop by and grab what I want so I'd definitely recommend anyone to check out their products and to be indulged by the kindness of the beautiful staff :) read more

It's always a great experience shopping at Lush (at the Turnstyle). The staff is friendly, but not pushy, and I actually find myself having some great conversations (like this last time, with India, who was explaining the new 31States bath bomb). If you want to, you can be in and out of the store in as little as five minutes. However, if you're interested, there are any number of products the staff would love to have you try. Most recently, while waiting to check out, I ended up trying a soap called "Respect Your Elders" --- and loved it so much, it's now replaced my old bath soap! read more

I'm getting curiouser and curiouser about lowering my waste, so that includes giving bar soap a try. I love lush, because they clearly do their part to help the environment, yet they are so accessible, and it doesn't even feel like a reach. I got a bar shampoo tin and the lavender bar-the description looked like it would be good for my fine, thin hair. I haven't tried it yet, but am optimistic. I've heard good things about Lush so decided to test some products before doing my holiday shopping. I tried 2 bath bombs...Intergalactic: smell great, fun color. Big Blue: smells great, once dissolved looks absolutely disgusting. Who thought putting seaweed in there was a good idea?! It looked like a slimy parasitic worm invasion! Ever see the movie "Slither"? It was like that; not conducive to relaxation or enjoyment at all. So I'm guessing Lush products are a mix of hit or miss. As someone who buys a ton of lush products regularly, I was shocked with how poor the customer service was at this location. I stood there for almost 10 mins before someone was willing to assist me. The woman who finally assisted me only did so for a minute and did not seem friendly or knowledgeable about the items I was interested in. This is my favorite location-- the staff is consistently helpful and friendly without pushing the sale. The store location is a small store and they don't carry the full range of products, but they do have a lot (I estimate about 85%) of the complete product line. Lush has been a popular brand for quite some time now, but I had never actually been inside a store until I decided to visit the Lush in the Columbus Circle shops. I was immediately greeted by Stephanie, who was very knowledgable about both the products and the brand, and was able to answer all of my questions. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful, and I left the store extremely satisfied. She let me try out both the Cup O'Coffee and Mask of Magnaminty face and body masks on the back of my hands, and I ended up buying both because I loved the way they made my hands feel.
