Plenty of parking but it can get conjested in that area because people are in a rush and don't know how to park or let you pass. Employees are helpful assist you in what you need or looking for. Everything is in sections so it's easy to navigate. They have makeup for all skin tones, nails polish, perfume, skin care and curling/ flat irons. When you walk to the back of the store they have a salon. I didn't purchase anything not sure what foundation I wanted, but will definitely come back. read more

The best part about this store is the convenience of free parking lots. But it's very very busy area absolutely the worse during weekends and after 2pm on weekdays. Overall great inventory, I feel they usually have everything and it's clean for the most part (during rush hours can be slightly messy). Every time I visit this location ugh something about the employees they just seem to not care about you as a customer. You ask a question they look at you like "how dare you question me" haha. Never met a single employee who literally took their time to help. I was trying to figure out the shade for Tarte Shape Concealer asked one of the employees to help me and she's like oh you can try the colors on and that was it. Literally they lack understanding about the products. I absolutely disliked the fact I tried asking 1 particular employee a question and literally she kept walking away from me like every few minutes to do absolutely nothing. I was the 2nd person in the store shopping therefore she cannot even use being busy as an excuse!!! Yeeaaaa sooooo worst haircut ever received in my life. Did reach out to them but all I got was automated emails from Ulta as well as the workers telling me to go back to fix my hair. But why would I want to go back to the same person that ruined my hair? She was a super nice lady but my god horrible haircut. Save your time and money and shop at another Ulta location. I understand it's a very busy location hence why a lot of products are sold out or off the shelves, but the very few times I have shopped here I only walk out with one of the products on my list or sometimes none at all and not because it's sold out, mainly because this location doesn't carry it. It feels pointless coming to shop here. Not to mention, some (not all) employees can be very rude and have a distasteful attitude for no reason at all. I can say I've only had one good experience with an employee out of all the 4-5 times I've shopped here. I love ulta as a store! However this location has been getting worse with the employees they have working here. My mom asked 3 coworkers who were cracking up and on their phones the whole time if she can get help matching a foundation. One stated no she's on her break (in the middle of the floor, go talk on yr phone in the back not on the floor) and the other one stated the girl who does that is not here (meanwhile she does makeup for people). In a very nasty and rude tone, there was no need for that. I didn't get to catch their names they had no name tags on, however I must say the cashiers are always pleasant. Today I visited the store in Valley Stream and it was very unpleasant. The store was not crowded at all. When I asked an employee for help, she told her co workers behind the register that I need help on the floor because she was oof the clock. Well I waited a few minutes and no one came to assist me. Then when I went to the register to pay for an item , I mentioned to the cashier that no one never helped me, and here response was " can you put your phone number in for points ?". Yes she ignored me. I then said ok I'm going to put a bad review online and she continued ringing me with no response. Lastly, the security guard followed me around the store for some strange reason. I needed help , yet I was made to feel like I was a criminal. I am never returning to the ULTA Store. I think Macy's or Amazon will give better service. read more

I'm no makeup junky but I can appreciate a centralized location to find what I need and Ulta does just that. It may be a bit costly but still on the bargain side for some items compared to Sephora and other high end stores. On my 1st visit to Ulta I was looking to replace my brushes and I found a beautifully packaged bamboo set that ran me about $12. My 2nd visit came on the heels of a hormonal breakout and I needed help with my skin asap. After Macy*s didn't have the mini sized Clinique products I was looking to try I visited Ulta and it was there. At Macy's the mini acne set was $38, a Ulta I paid &25 for the same set of 3 size 1.70z products which includes the acne solutions cleansing foam ,clarifying lotion and all-over clearing foam. I was so happy. I also purchased the dramatically different moisturizing lotion and the beyond perfect foundation. I was given a 10 day sample of the even better since that one treats the scars with Vitamin C. As much as this might seem like a review of Clinique it is not. The Esthetician is very versed in her craft and is happy to impart knowledge. She is very mindful of her practices and is very easy to talk to. The minute she saw where I had breakouts she told me it was hormonal and recommended a product. I am so excited to give these products a try and chart my progress. I will update photos periodically . Overall Ulta is clean, very well stocked and staffed. While there are not a ton of workers on the floor, the ones that are circulate, are courteous and knowledgable in both skin care and makeup. Lines can be long but move rapidly and the workers are always reminding you they appreciate your patience. I appreciate that I no longer have to go to Long Island and prices are fairly affordable. read more

It's annoying and they're kinda awkward so they don't really have alot of backbone when they need it. Only person that I notice has an attitude is the one with the big fake butt. This place is a " Joke" they are suppose to intercept packages and scan the QR code, put it on the bag. Instead I had to get a cashier with a bad attitude, rolling her eyes. She goes and gets her boss. Who acted more like a bouncer at the door. I told her, all You have to do is scan and put the label on the bag. The bouncer, is going to tell me that they print their own QR CODE and they put it another bag. I never heard of 2-different QR codes printing, she then tells me if I want to call and tell them they have no bags. My item was in a sealed bag, all the " bouncer" had to do was scan my QR code and put the label on the bag. Instead, the " bouncer" tells me " WELL THEN" like we fighting in the street and their is the door . I will never visit or go to this store, a simple experience. Hey employees how much does it cost to crack a smile or say "May I help you?" I cannot stand RUDE people especially those that work in retail. Fake a smile if you have to-We all do it sometimes. I literally walked in and there were two employees right in front that didn't say a word. Not even a hello. I purposely said "Oh, I cant find it" thinking they might help me but zero zip nada. Anyway, this was my first time ever at an Ulta Beauty store and its pretty cool. A lot of products which range from super affordable to a tad on the higher end. Nice lay out and I was able to find some products I've been wanting to try. Only the girl at the register was approachable- Edith was her name and she was pregnant and in good spirits. Go figure. I'm not the only one who pointed out the rude employees on YELP so you would think this would've been addressed already. First let me state that: personally, I love this store for its convenience (since I live in town) when I need makeup or hair products. If I didn't have such a bad experience getting my makeup done here, my rating would be much higher. Now for my experience: I wouldnt normally write a review for someone in the service industry, as I am a service professional myself. I have been here before to get lashes a couple of years back, so I figured my makeup experience would be the same a good one, but I was WRONG!! I made an appointment online for a makeup appointment for Aug3 (as I was celebrating my birthday that night) my appointment was for 4:30 and I showed up a few mins earlier. One of the girls who works for an outside company was very helpful to bring me to where I need to check in. She brought me back to the salon, where I was told by the manager that the girl doing my makeup was on her lunch break (OK, no problem everyone needs to eat). I browsed for about 15 mins until Nadita (the stylist who did my makeup) was ready for me. She sat me down to start and half ass consulted. I showed her a photo of what I wanted, and she seemed confident. Through the appointment, as she was doing my makeup I would open my eyes in between application and she's laughing in my face. I asked her why she was laughing and she states "it's looking good" I felt the complete opposite. She had NO idea what she was doing. I went in there with my eyebrows already done (I am super picky with my eyebrows) and she wiped them off and redid them and they looked horrible. I asked her for the Eyebrow pencil I normally use at home so I can do it and when finally they started looking better she would take the pencil from me and "fix them" they were not fixed. My arch at one point was up to my hairline!!! My eyes were not what I asked for at all. I asked for A MATTE LOOK, the eyeshadow she put on me was all shimmer!!! My face had absolutely NO COLOR!! She asked if I wanted a wing, I said yes. THE WINGED EYELINER WAS HORRIBLE!!!! My 8 year old does a better job. I am 29 but the makeup made me look like I was 49!!! I left so upset! And more upset because she made me feel super uncomfortable that every time I looked she was laughing while she was doing my makeup. I paid $60 for a makeup application that I wasn't happy with and tipped her $10 for a shitty, unprofessional service! I got home and wiped off my make up and redid my whole face myself. Worst experience getting my make up done!! Please, do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR MAKEUP SERVICE. Sephora in Manhasset does an awesome job!! read more

I have been to this specific location a couple of times and each time I go I regret it. Mostly everything is out of stock, or opened everything is a mess out of place products or tampered with. They never have hand wipes or anything to clean your hands off after you try a tester so you just walk around the store sticky because you have nothing to wipe your hands on. I really hope they don't offer makeovers because I would be hesitant after seeing their hygiene on the product floor. Staff seems like they aren't fully trained to answer questions and there is never enough staff for anyone to even help you when you do have a question. This Ulta Beauty store in Valley Stream is my favorite because it is so close to home. The selection of products is great and the store is always clean when I go there. The checkout time is short and the cashiers are generally polite. I always come here for the hair salon and found Annarese, who is just the sweetest! I highly recommend her because she is very nice and gives the best hair tips. She's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her job. I will continue going to her because I really love how she does my hair. The manager, Rebecca, is also great. I asked her about a product that I was interested in buying which was going to be sold in stores the following day. She allowed me to buy it instead of having to come back and buy it when it was actually on display. I thought that was awesome! read more

My review is solely based on my makeup appointment. The store itself is nice. It is also not far from my home and there is ample amount of parking. The makeup application was awful! This was my first time trying out Ulta's makeup application and I DO NOT recommend to anyone. The blending is just awful, my makeup had so many creases. I had asked for a wing eyeliner and it was HORRIBLE! I had to come home and fix it myself! I also had to come home and blend my own makeup! It addition, I payed extra for lashes and they were falling off as soon as I left the store. It is also overpriced @ $70! I highly recommend going to Sephora or Mac. I like Steph, who I believe is a manger at this location. I purchased some things at 9 pm on a Friday night, and she was at the register full of energy. She pointed me to a sale that I hadn't taken advantage of (resulting in me buying two more NYX lipsticks) and wordlessly gave me a free promotional kit. Made an Afternoon appointment to get a haircut. I was on my way to ulta from work and they called me to confirm the appointment while I was on the train. After five minutes of the conversation they called me again multiple times saying to reschedule because they took a client with thick hair instead of my appointment even though it was confirmed already. I went to the store and I saw the lady that was supposed to cut my hair doing another client. I went to talk to her and she was very unprofessional to me and my mother. After I went to go speak to the manager and got a lousy discount. Honestly hire better staff that are educated and professional. The "manager" working Tuesday, June 29 around 11am/12pm with shoulder length blonde hair is very rude. Every time you go to Green Acres Ulta, there is an issue every time when using rewards and coupons. I had a barcode with the number but the barcode did not load properly on the email. At first I was very polite until they refused to enter the code; claiming the code would not work without even attempting it. However, the manager finally entered the code and it worked. Instead of apologizing, she had an attitude and was very dismissive. Always an issue at THIS specific Ulta, no where else. read more

Got my hair cut by Petrona. I love how my haircut turned out and it's because of how much she listened, asked questions, discussed etc. before she ever picked up a scissor. It seemed like it was really important to her that I was happy with my haircut and she wanted to get me there! I have a lot of hair and it's thick and curly and she did a great job with it. Pros: Clean, organized , offers many products and services. Makeup service cheap I scheduled a makeup appointment for myself and I really didn't like the way my makeup turned out. I would have done my makeup myself if I knew it was going to turn out the way it did. The person who did my makeup didn't even have all the products with them and had to constantly go back and forth into the store to get what was need, which left me just sitting in my seat waiting for them to come back. At one point , they came back with drinks and snacks. My make up took almost 2 hours to complete and it was not extravagant at all to take that long. The lashes they put on me only last for 4 hours! ( I use the same lashes and glue at home and it stays on all day ) I was just really disappointed with my end result. read more

The workers are no where in sight and no one asks if you need help. I was at this Ulta, testing foundations, trying to find my color and I found some cleaning supplies on a table and the worker came over and rudely said "can I help you? You can't use those because it's been sanitized?" Like it's a table filled with cleaning products and it's the closest to me, I have to walk across the whole store to clean my hand then to walk back to where I was. On top of that, every time I looked up, the security guard was walking past me and kept looking at me like there's so many people in the store and you just happen to end up where I am? Worst ulta ever. There is literally no one on the sales floor to ask questions or to even help you out with trying to find certain products. The only person I ever see on the floor is a clinique lady. Usually they have 2 people max on the register and very long lines. Always see people getting 5 finger discounts in here, probably Because no one ever acknowledges anyone thats looking for stuff on the sales floor.
