DO NOT GO HERE!!! They LIE ANOUT USING BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT LICENSED PRODUCTS!!! Which is very dangerous and a complete ripoff. I paid almost $400!!! For "Brazilian blowout and hair color. I have been going to different salons and getting a Brazilian blowout for 11 years, so I am VERY FAMILIAR with the process. I went to this salon on 6/17 - the woman colored my hair first, which was $150!! For single process "blue black" a very easy color, not sure why it was that much but I didn't ask too many questions because I needed the service done that day. After the color was done it seemed fine and we moved on to the Brazilian blowout. When the woman was applying the product on my hair I knew something was off, because the product she was applying and the technique was NOTHING like a Brazilian blowout, so I asked her again is this a Brazilian blowout, and she said yes, it's just in a spray. Which sounded off but I trusted her. When she applied the product it was also BURNING my scalp which had never happened to me in the past, and I knew at that point she had lied, but I was just hoping for the best - which was that it just worked. But when I washed my hair three days later, like instructed. My hair was surly and frizzy. I had paid $400 for someone to spray some sketchy proxy on my hair and spent 3-4 hours at the salon for absolutely no reason. They had swindled me. Not is my hair still curly and frizzy, the color was STRIPPED!!! Real Brazilian blowout does not strip hair color!!! So everything about what they did was fake and a ripoff!!! I called today 6/20 exactly three days later - and I was explaining what happened and she was catching an attitude with me and trying to bs me and say well did you wait the three days? Oh we use keratin it's the same and all these other things and I said I asked you several times if it was Brazilian blowout , it wasn't!! And the hair color was stripped. Nothing worked on my hair because you used black market products on my hair. Then i asked what she exactly used my on my hair and she wouldn't tell me. She was like you need to come in so we can see, like if that matters ! I just wanted to know what she used and she wouldnt answer. Anyways, I wasted her ok fine I'll come in when can user me, she said "let me check" and then HUNG UP ON ME!!! I called back, no answer. Then I called again two min later, she answers and then I start talking and she HANGS UP AGAIN!!! So I called and left a message , and politely said listen idk what's going on here, I'm just trying to figure this out and GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO FIX THIS! I didn't do anything wrong. Like what is happening here?! So to make a long story longer, I haven't heard back and I doubt I will! This place uses fake product! Formal Complaint Regarding Discriminatory Treatment and Unethical Business Practices I am writing to formally document my experience at this establishment, which I found to be both discriminatory and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment online for a wash and blow-dry, with the advertised price clearly listed as $38. Upon arriving for my 12:00 PM appointment with my two young daughters, I greeted the two male employees at the front desk. Neither acknowledged my greeting. When I informed them that I had an appointment, one responded in an aggressive tone, asking "For what?!" I clarified that it was for a wash and blow-dry. He then demanded "How many?!" and when I said it was just one appointment, he loudly instructed me to "Go wash!" while pointing toward the back. As this was my first visit, I asked for clarification, and only then did a female employee approach me. The female staff member asked to see my hair, as I was wearing a head covering. My natural hair texture is soft, manageable, and would not take longer than thirty minutes to wash and blow-dry. However, upon viewing my hair, she immediately stated that the cost would be $100--more than double the advertised price. When I asked why my service would cost $100 when the posted rate was $38, she replied that "this type of hair" required that charge. At no point on the website or during booking was it indicated that pricing was "starting at" $38 or that texture-based surcharges applied. I refused the discriminatory upcharge and chose not to proceed with the service. I have attached both a copy of my booking confirmation and a photo of my hair for reference, to illustrate how unreasonable the $100 charge was. In addition to the blatant price discrimination, the staff were unprofessional, dismissive, and the premises smelled strongly of cigarette smoke--further reflecting the lack of professionalism. This conduct is unacceptable. It reflects racially discriminatory business practices and constitutes false advertising. I will be pursuing further action, including filing a civil complaint. I had a mixed experience here. Went with a few friends and we all had different experiences but one thing was the same, our hair fell out about 10 mins after we walked out the door. We let the stylists know of our hair types for those of us who needed more attention for hold and it was not successful. The overall hair cleaning and head massage experience was good, but as my hair was being dried my scalp got very hot and I was flinching at points from feeling it was burning, along with a cloud of smoke surrounding my head. My two other friends had varied experiences overall as well. Once we got to checkout we were made aware it was cash only for tip and proceeded to use the atm and get cash and after tip was given, one stylist held up with cash and gave a side eye to the other stylists and mind you this tip was over 20% as well. Overall I don't think it's worth the trip if you are unsure but if you know blowouts hold well in your hair and have good experiences it might be worth a try but do so with caution. read more

I typically travel (far) to get my hair done but today I was short on time and have an important meeting tomorrow and needed my hair done ASAP. I decided to try this salon out because of the great reviews but noticed there were no ethnic clients' photos, which made me a little skeptical but I decided to have faith in their skills. The location is convenient for me since I do my grocery shopping and my nails within 0.5 miles from the salon. The interior is immaculate and modern; staff were friendly and genuinely concerning; prices are even better. Albeit, I was one of the first black clients in this particular shop, they exceeded my expectations and did a better job than my regular hair stylist (no shade). They were very attentive to my hair type and needs, giving honest feedback and suggestions. I can proudly say, ANYONE with hair that is told is "hard to manage", this salon does not shy away from a challenge, and will style your hair with love and precision. I planned last minute as I do everything. I don't know anything about hair but my hair came out beautifully. So I had a wedding to go to I was looking around for a salon that was open on Sunday and stumbled across them. I called on Sunday the day of the wedding and was greeted by a woman on the phone who said yes they can take me for a wash blowout and curl. I got there and was started right away. I only saw gentlemen working here no ladies, because I was wondering who the lady is that I spoke to on the phone. However I had a great experience from answering questions, and them accommodating me on such short notice. The salon is not very up to date but they have very cute long mirrors that you can look in whilst your hair is being done. I would definitely be going back if I need my blow dried and curled. My first cut with Danni was decent. but at my next appointment Danni was a no show. I was encouraged to visit the RVC location to have my hair cut by someone else. So, I went to the RVC address only to be insulted by the stylist..."your hair is dry"...."your hair isn't shiny"...."you need treatment[sic]". Her gratuitous and brutal delivery of her opinion (things of which I was already aware and was sensitive to (thanks to menopause), was uncalled for. I won't be back, more because this stylist didn't even remotely give me the cut I wanted than her insults...she decided she knew better and now I'm stuck with a haircut I hate. I would bear the brunt of the insults if the cut/style were great...but to have a bad cut, be inconvenienced and then insulted...well, let's just say this place hit the trifecta of "NOPE". read more

Ok this place is AMAZING! This is second time I've been here and the 2nd time is as good if not BETTER than the first! I lost the card so I drove from island park to Hewlett and was able to be taken when I walked in. Got full color, cut and full face waxing and al I can say, I went to long beach To Oceanside salons and regret not looking for this place sooner! I'm so happy this salon is open. They're fast, have great pricing and know what they're doing. I've gone twice and love how my hair has come out. Both times were just a wash and blow out and my hair has been done by Celine who has done an amazing job. I have very thick hair and in other salons it has taken at least an hour to blow dry and straighten. Here the most I have been is 25 minutes and the results seem even better. And all I paid was $25 ;) as opposed to $30-$40.. I brought my mom for a haircut and she loved it also. The salon itself isn't fancy but it's nice and most importantly clean. First time there for a color and cut. I decided to give them a chance since they were open the hours that worked for me. After my color and cut, they charged me a MUCH higher price than what was advertised!! My hair was washed very roughly with almost no care. Without any hesitation, they even requested a tip before I even got the chance to see what my hair looked like! Above all, I got an allergic reaction from the robe put around my neck. Very greedy employees that left me unsatisfied and feeling taken advantage of after almost an hour of screaming in my ear to other employees in the salon. I went to get a simple trim and instructed my hairdresser to just cut one inch off ever layer I had. It turns out these instructions fell on deaf ears as my longest layer didn't seem trimmed at all since all the dead ends I previously had remained. I would not recommend going here. The hair cutters demand at least a $5 tip, which is not expensive and of course I'd tip, but the principle of demanding a tip turned me off.
