Toya washed, blow dried, and trimmed my hair. She didn't rush and took her time doing my hair. I'm pretty introverted and I found the process very relaxing. The salon itself was playing old R&B which played to my old millennial heart. They offer braiding services which is something I want to eventually try.

So first of all I work night shift and had ONE DAY off to get my hair done. All the places near me…read morewere by appointment only SPECIFICALLY for curly hair so I ended up calling Cut N Curls and they called me back and said to come in! I live an hour away so they were very accommodating and when I finally arrived they were empty so I was seated immediately and she began working on my hair. The problems with my hair were: roots were flat, I had previous bleach from a botched job years ago, my curls were falling FLAT. So I needed a revamp for my hair and omg did they deliver. Below are pics of my hair directly before arriving, I only wet and combed my hair since she does a dry cut and that was recommended to come with my hair brushed. Then after the dry cut, I asked for layers and she warned me about shrinkage which for some people I understand why having shorter hair would be a big thing for them but for me I just wanted my hair to be healthy and finally get rid of the bleached ends. I told her I've never had a haircut before and boy did my hair show it lol. The process: It was a dry cut, I was washed and then they styled the curls with water by sectioning and curling them individually, then was mousse and they scrunched it up. I was dried in the normal way I would dry my curls at home and the end result was amazing! My curls are back to being bouncy and the hair is healthy so I'm very happy! 3 people worked on me simultaneously and they were all nice. Also I came in around 4:45pm and I was finished at 5:52pm. Total was $250 but u get what u pay for and I'm very much happy.

This was my first visit to Reflections and it won't be my last. A close friend referred this salon,…read moreso I already went there with a general good opinion of the place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, seated and even offered coffee! When you tell a business customer service is your focus, Reflections is the paragon. I've been to salons on the upper east side they have never greeted me this way. Customer service is not their only strong suit they have a full team of very talented and passionate hair stylist. I had the pleasure of getting an appointment with Peter. My main reason for the visit was to color over my highlights. I had crazy highlights all over the place. Please see pictures attached. I didn't want to have them toned or corrective, I only wanted to recolor over everything and go back to my natural color as possible. Now this is the good part. I have never met someone who can look at the color of hair and know the dye. Peter looked at my roots for a few seconds and came back out and was ready to dye my hair. I felt a little nervous, but when I saw how the color came out I knew I shouldn't have worried in the first place. I also wanted a little trim, so my hair could feel completely fresh and renewed. Peter's skills are not only colorist but also cutting. My hair has never been cut so neat! I even requested to keep mindfully of the length because I'm trying to grow out my hair and he did everything he could to keep my length and make sure my ends where healthy for my hair to grow. I already recommended serval family member to check out reflections and experience this one of a kind salon. Here are some lights for those that don't want to ready my essay above. 1. EXCELLENT customer service (You'll feel like a Queen) 2. PUNCTUAL! I had an appointment and was seen on the dot. 3. Coloring - you can trust their judgment and the chemicals isn't as harsh as most places 4. Haircut- The neatest and cleanest cut I've ever experienced. My hair was very uneven and Peter FIXED it!

And when I walk in, it was more disappointing to witness the current client being talked into liking her hair. I didn't get any service. So it's perhaps not the most reliable review.
