I've been a dedicated customer to BareBodies for months now. I've never had any issues with customer service until recent. After every service they bombard you in the attempt to upsell you with over priced DIY products. I typically go for sugaring but decided to try their facials. After my $75 facial they prescribed products for an at home regimen. Some products were their own & others from another skincare line. At no point did anyone advise me of the prices nor were the prices visible. My card already being on file they scheduled my next appointment & charged me for all items. Wasn't until I got home did I realize I didn't receive a receipt but majority of the bottles didn't not have a protective seal. Anyone could've tampered with the products. They could've sold me Covid in a bottle. My bank alerted, I spent over $250 plus the $75 charge which prompted me to wonder how much each item cost since they were small. I googled the skincare line they sold me & to my horror saw that BareBodies doubled the price! I only realized because after inspecting the broken seals, they stickered their own prices beneath the bottle to hide it. They intentionally tore off the plastic seal of the original company because it had the sticker of what the actual retail price was. Upset I checked Barebodies website return policy, nothing there referenced my situation so I called the establishment to inquire. Though they weren't rude, they refused to issue me a refund regardless of the products being untouched by me. Customer service isn't all that matters when running a legitimate business. They had no care for my concerns as a repeat customer despite selling me unsanitary products at astronomical prices. I noticed after my inquiry they edited the website imposing a no refund policy. They could've at least offered an exchange of services for the products. They are money hungry. This is not how a respectable business should treat their clients. read more

Very annoying that every time I come here, they try to upsell me into purchasing products. It's one thing to suggest, but to feel pressured is another. Overall, their sugar waxing's are awesome, however their facials are not their forte. Got a facial and left feeling the exact same with dry patchy skin. If you want to get a sugar wax, I highly recommend them, but if you are interested in facials, I recommend the many other places that specialize in that. Was able to call and be seen on Saturday which I really appreciate. It is a small spot but the receptionist was nice and I was seen right away. Taj was excellent and explained everything. She was really nice to talk to as well because we started cracking jokes while I was getting waxed. I opted for the sugar waxing after Youtube university had reviews on how to get rid of strawberry legs. The process was painful since it was my first time being wax, like my very first time. I usually shave, nair or let it grow out.... I am at that age where most days I do not care anymore. It lasted for about 10 to 15 mins I believed. I came here on August 20th, and I had the "Bikini Deep" Service with Karina and it was all around a great experience. I will most definitely be coming back and making this a part of my beauty routine. I had heard of sugaring before, and have always wanted to try it because I get irritating razor bumps from shaving so decided why not finally try sugaring. I was terrified (low pain tolerance) but Karina made me feel very comfortable and was extremely patient with me. The service was okay, they were not so welcoming as I expected for a place with 5 stars. Not a lot of room for privacy, for instance , I understand we are all girls but they stand there as you undress, they don't provide anything for you to at least slightly cover up. It was my first time so I was a bit embarrassed and they looked annoyed. Next, not all the hair gets removed because the stuff they use doesn't stick to thin hairs. If you by any chance miss your appointment, not only do you lose your 50% deposit but you also get charged the rest of the fee if you don't show up. Sugaring is my new favorite thing! I HATED the pain (& suffering) that came along with waxing. After googling an alternative (besides laser) I found out about sugaring. It's an ancient form of waxing and uses natural product. The sugar pulls the hair not both the hair and skin like waxing, which makes the process so much more comfortable. It sucks that I have to write this review but I have to be honest. The price increase and breakdown of how Bare Bodies charges a client is absurd. The price for a Brazilian was increased from $55 to $75!! That's a 25% increase. Now she states on her website that if you frequent her monthly that you pay $60. Everyone's hair grows at a different rate, the owner herself should know this. There was no way I had enough hair to wax...length and fullness wise a month after my Brazilian waxing. In fact, there wasn't enough hair for me to wax until approaching 2 months after the wax. So, to have to pay $75, $20 more than I did a two months ago is crazy! I also read another review that stated the increase was drastic, so I know it's not just me that feels this way. The owner justifies this by saying the cost of living has increased. The cost of living for who? Her? I'm aware that she moved to a new location, the other one was modest and wasn't the fanciest, but she was nice, and so I went. But now that she's moved to a new location, price goes up. That's not a price increase that reflects a cost of living for us, her clients, that's a price increase that reflects a cost of living for her. Which in good business practices, she should of kept her new locations's rent around the same price as her old location, so her services increase wouldn't be an astronomical 25%! Unfortunately, with her $20 increase, she's priced herself out of doing business. I know 3 people that use to go to her and none of the four of us will be returning. I've been searching on yelp for a new sugaring studio. I think there's 2 in Long Island that I'm going to try. read more

Hands down the best wax experience you'll have in your life. Tajina knows what's best for your skin type and provides the best advice for caring and maintaining your skin. Since I've started sugaring with her, my strawberry legs and ingrown hairs have become unbelievably smooth. I also haven't had an ingrown on my chin and the hairs have become much lighter in texture. I've also always struggled with acne scarring but along with the products that Tajina recommended and after a few facials and chemical peels, I've seen a dramatic difference in my skin.
