They cut me up. I asked for wax and she waxed then threaded. Threading is always painful and I was hoping to avoid that, but she just started going. After the service, I did feel some stinging but thought that to be normal. Stinging after a wax isn't out of the ordinary. A day later I noticed the scars on my skin. I got the service on Sunday and I'm writing this on Tuesday. Some of the scarring has gone away but I shouldn't have been cut up in the first place. I'm never returning.

They offer chocolate wax as opposed to hard wax and have one suite. I asked if they double dip and I was told if I call ahead they can change the wax for me. (It is a small wax pot). She did not double dip the sticks when applying was to my underarms she also had what it looks like roll on wax applicators which isn't the most hygienic. Wax was not painful as I anticipated since chocolate is still a strip wax (use of cloth and softer wax) and all hair was removed quickly and efficiently. Skin was not lifted. Will inspect underarm when I get home. Went back day after and did brows. Came out really really well! Will be back!

Then as I'm standing there talking to her about how she didn't have my consent to do so, she charges my card over and over for another $75.24. I asked her why she keeps charging my card and she says don't worry about the Brazilian was on the house and I did not owe anything. I confirmed multiple times before I left and she said I did not owe anything since she messed up and charged my card without my consent. She admitted to being in the wrong and confirmed multiple times that I didn't owe her anything for the wax service. Now five months later on 7/25/26 I wake up to a random charge of $75.24. I called and spoke with Kayla who said she was sorry and would reverse the charge. She remembered exactly who I was and how she messed up the first time on 2/7/26. I called again on 7/26/26 to confirm that she actually processed the refund but I spoke with another employee Sierra who told me that Kayla never processed the refund. Charging my card five months later out of nowhere and no nearing is fucking insane especially after kayla told me I didn't owe anything. I never returned to EWC after 2/7/26 so how the fuck are you gonna charge me randomly five months later. And Kayla herself told me that she had to manually enter my zip code to authorize the charge on 2/7/26. So this girl went into my account, got my zip code and entered it to charge my card. I am beyond pissed and want my $75.24 back NOW!!!!! I have filed a claim with The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). Kayla you are nothing but a thief!!! There were two women working and people were coming by regularly, but I got four services done so I knew I would wait. I waited about ten minutes before I was led into the back area for the Brazilian wax. The space was larger than I expected and clean, I was able to place my bag on a chair and undress privately to get prepared. They laid down paper over where I needed to lay and powdered me prior to starting. She checked for what I wanted before starting and let me know that they never double dip. I haven't had a wax in about six months and she had me cleaned up completely in 15 minutes. I also did eyebrow threading, tinting, and eyelash extensions. At one point I tried to explain my nail was getting hot and she doused my entire finger into the solution that puts acrylic on. Smdh Twice I had to tell her to stop because she drew blood and the next time she nicked my finger so hard I thought I lost skin. Clearly, I should have honored my instinct and ask for someone else to take over but I didn't want to create a fuss. She rushed through the gel process and the final product looks exactly how it felt: aggressive, forced and painful. I'm so frustrated because it was much a simple ask. I always come in with inspo and consider the tech skill level to ensure I'm not asking for something out of their scope. I'm thinking this was just not the person to work with. As such, I'm thinking of giving the salon another shot, with Jeanie or someone else to determine what happens moving forward.
