Attention brides, PLEASE read this prior to signing a contract and submitting payment to Lolita X…read moreJade Hair & Makeup Studio. I am a bride who has had to cancel my wedding twice due to Covid-19. As you can imagine, this has been a very difficult time. Below is my honest experience with Lolita X Jade. I paid $160 for a hair trial and took a day off of work due to the traveling distance. The appointment went well. She was very personable and I was happy with the overall experience. Therefore, I proceeded in submitting a $350.00 deposit to secure my date. My wedding which was scheduled in June was cancelled due to Covid-19. I asked if she was available for our new date in September and she kindly confirmed that she would able to accommodate. Unfortunately, I had to cancel again for September and devise a new plan for October at a different location. I reached out as soon as our new date was agreed upon. She was already booked but could possibly make it work depending on the time frame. Once I stated that I would need to be ready by 12/12:30pm, she responded that she was unable to provide services for both weddings. I told her that I completely understand as these circumstances are beyond any of our control. I asked if it was possible to refund my $350.00 deposit since she would no longer be available. She said she wouldn't since I signed a contract. I asked if she was willing to offer a partial refund since she was no longer available and already booked for that day anyway. She declined and refused to compromise or offer anything at all. I understand that deposits are non-refundable. However, these are incredibly different circumstances. I did not choose to cancel my wedding, I was forced to. I did not choose to cancel with her, she was no longer available. Therefore, how is it fair to keep someone's money when YOU are no longer available and YOU are still getting paid that same day for another booking. We aren't referencing a small $50.00 deposit. This is $350.00, not including the trial which was $160.00. Therefore, I am now out $510.00 total. The trial is undoubtedly nonnegotiable as she provided services and deserved to be paid. However, the deposit is a different case. Now I have to spend additional money for another trial with a new hair stylist. I feel this is simply a poor reflection of human decency. She could have offered a partial refund given the fact that SHE was no longer available and wouldn't be losing money since she was getting paid for another wedding. She was also booked for the September date as well. Therefore, she wasn't losing money on either dates but still decided to keep my money for services not rendered. Postponing my wedding twice has been brutal in itself. It is truly upsetting that in this specific scenario there was no sense of compassion from woman to woman. I have reached out to two other stylists and confirmed that cancellation fees/deposits will be waved due to Covid-19. Therefore, my advice to any bride is, PLEASE make sure you confirm this type of information to prevent yourself from losing $510.00 like I did. Also, I have all of the correspondence saved through emails for any futher verfication. Good luck to all of the brides out there. Stay strong and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel! xo

Ro took me into her brow room and introduced herself. She was conversive in a comfortable, friendly way and discussed what she would like to do, she asked if I had any preferences or anything, in particular, I wanted to get done. I told her I would go with what she was comfortable doing. She gently applied wax to clean my brow areas and filled them in then topped them with a brow gel to keep them in place. My brows look amazing and her fill-in technique is superb. They look super natural and perfectly contoured. I would recommend and return to Ro without a doubt. The Spa is really nice as well, smells wonderful, looks clean and the ambiance is very relaxing. I might schedule a facial here soon.

This time, she arrived with clean, blow-dried hair and clearly asked for only a haircut. The stylist insisted to wash her hair anyway after she said no, and kept pushing extra services to increase the price. The owner said cutting was $35 and made it sound like washing and blow-drying would be $45 total -- not $85. At checkout, we were charged $85 for services we did not agree to, and the owner later said it was a "misunderstanding." This felt misleading and pressured. I do not recommend this salon. At that time I regularly had my eyebrows done, with precise detail. They were excellent, & pain free almost! I went recently and there were 3-4 women working. I said wow they've grown, I was expecting great things as usual. Unfortunately, the service quality has dropped, the girl was super fast, which was great, though a bit more painful, and I checked to make sure everything was done well, and it was egh! Just basic brows! I also had an upper lip wax for a first try as well, and it was quite irritating to my skin, not for sensitive skin. Bottom line when I got home and could check close up, it was not neatly done, I had strays everywhere, including the wax. It the usual exceptional service. I would like to compliment that they are still almost pain free, compared to other places! And I love the loyalty card, though if the results aren't as I am used to it makes no sense. I think I'll be trying elsewhere next.

But more than that, I felt like one -- cherished, radiant, and glowing from the inside out. Everyone who saw me couldn't stop complimenting the look, but what they didn't see was the love, intention, and skill that went into it. I have very sensitive skin and a long history of reacting badly to products, but Eunii took her time to understand my needs. There's a difference between talent and anointing -- and Eunii walks in both.
