I called a few places prior to trying Luminous and they charge you for a cut and a blow out is additional! I'm sorry but I think it's ridiculous to charge for a blow out after someone is already paying for a service. But anyway!!! Not the case at luminous, my cut and blow was included with my cut and I found that business practice to be extremely fair! I've only ever had experience where the final product wasn't exactly what I was going for, and Elsa patiently adjusted my hair and touched things up until I was satisfied (even though it was past close!). The salon has a cozy vibe, plays good music, and has magazines for you to peak at while in the waiting area or while products are sitting. DO NOT be afraid to ask for product recommendations either. Intuition doesn't forcefully try to sell you things on the way out like other places, they have genuine recommendations and QUALITY products to help your hair in anyway you may need. I got the Awapuhi deep conditioning treatment. For starters this smelled amaze balls. I decided on this treatment because my hair was in a weird state of dryness and dullness. I was a little disappointed that once my hair air dried after words, it felt similar to how I went in. I'm not sure what magic this Awapuhi promises but i'll blame it on my hair this time.
