I cannot emphasize enough how amazing every single woman who works here is! Jess especially!…read more I have been getting my hair cut, colored, curled, etc. here for almost 2 decades and have never once left disappointed. The entire process from booking to paying is so smooth and the staff could not be more communicative and warm every step of the way. Even when you're not quite exactly sure what you're going for, they will help you determine what you'll like and be honest about how it might look on you. I've only ever had experience where the final product wasn't exactly what I was going for, and Elsa patiently adjusted my hair and touched things up until I was satisfied (even though it was past close!). The salon has a cozy vibe, plays good music, and has magazines for you to peak at while in the waiting area or while products are sitting. DO NOT be afraid to ask for product recommendations either. Intuition doesn't forcefully try to sell you things on the way out like other places, they have genuine recommendations and QUALITY products to help your hair in anyway you may need. I recently have developed curlier hair and Jess has been super helpful in teaching me how to best care for my texture. This upcoming fall they'll be doing the bridal parties hair for my sister's wedding! We love this crew!

They're all very nice here. They're punctual and very professional in that regard. I like that! BUT…read moreif you have natural hair, DO NOT come here. I'm so bothered because I was told they specialize in natural hair and that they use expensive salon quality shampoo/conditioner, specifically Mizani when I called to inquire before coming in. They do not really know how to do natural hair and they use cheap, no name products in your hair. My hair was shampooed a whopping FOUR times, scrubbed like a rug, barely deep conditioned, and silked with NO HEAT PROTECTANT. They have an expertise in perming hair and handling permed hair. By the time I left, my natural hair [which had been cut by my normal natural hair stylist just two weeks ago] had never felt so dry, and it's taken two days to get my ends back to feeling like they were healthy.

They reassured me they could do it but it was indeed not what I showed them. I came out looking how I walked in. When asked for the price of the service they did not give me the correct pricing. Mind you, I asked 3 times before the day of my appointment. The receptionist is very rude and not knowledgeable of the services that get done or at least the services I wanted. Instead of using bleach these people used color remover. Very disappointing with the staff, hospitality, and overall experience. Will not be going back there and I do not recommend anyone going.

Anyways, after searching my trusty Yelp app for salons in the area, I decided to give Dinorah's salon a try and I'm so glad I did. I can't speak for how they wash hair because my hair was already washed and I just needed my deep conditioner rinse out. They sat me right away, rinsed out the hair treatment, untangled my hair and did rollers. While under the dryer, a very warm and nice young man offered me freshly brew coffee which was delicious. After the dryer, Dinorah went to work on my hair. She parted my hair in about six to eight sections which was new to me and then proceeded to blow dry my hair. She was personable and inquired on my preference on the blow out. Though she parted my hair down the middle and not to the side like I usually do, I just went with because I wanted to embrace something new (my hair had other plans and diverted to the usual side part on its own eventually lol). I'm very pleased with the service received and I will definitely be back (just not in a Tuesday, that's the day Dinorah said they're close. Let just hope I can remember that lol).

Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted by one of the hairdressers named Carmen. I was a little unsure about this place, because it was completely empty on a Saturday morning, which is unheard of for me. Anyway, I asked for a wash/set and deep condition, which all came out to $25.00. While tending to my hair, Carmen was aslo able to provide me with an analysis of my hair. She made recommendations that would help in getting my hair back to a more healthier state. From what she was telling me, I knew that she was knowledgeable about hair, because my dermatologist had also made the same recommendations to me. I went back this past Saturday to get a touch up. Now, I don't trust a lot of people with my hair, especially when it comes to my touch ups. But because of my past experience here, I decided to take a chance. Well, my scalp did not burn at all and my hair came out looking shinny and healthy. What I also appreciated is that during the whole process, I was being told every product that was being put in my hair and the reason why I needed it. With my touch up, deep treatment and trim, everything came out to $75. That may seem a little steep, but the products that they use at the salon are top notch. Fina's is definitely my new go to salon. The people are nice and they seem to actually care about the health of your hair.
