I came in with a difficult task, I have dyed blonde hair and my black roots were coming out and were pretty far out but I had asked if they could cover up the roots to match my blonde hair. They didn't tell me that they couldn't do it, a lot of places don't have experience dealing with Asian hair (yes, it is different when it comes to dying it). So I sat down and Nancy helped me at first, then after seeing that it turned out a different color, Ali and Christi came in to help. After 3 hours, having my hair go from orange, to golden, it turned out ok enough for me to walk out the door. But the next day, in natural lighting, my other half pointed out 3 different color shades and immediately said I had to have it fixed. So I called the salon and the receptionist said the 2 girls today were fully booked and Cassandra would have to call me back later tonight regarding a refund. So finally after being persistent for a refund because I needed to get it done elsewhere, I finally received my refund and unfortunately I will not be returning. I am so disappointed because I was looking for a new salon out in Long Island that knew how to handle my hair but this place is not it...I don't understand how anyone can allow their customers to walk out with this kind of hair.

I found a pedi here, and a haircut, wash and blow out at a rockville centre location that I have an appointment with on Thursday morning. I called the salon, ended up leaving a message, they got back to me and I was able to get in for Sunday at 1:30 after work. At first one of the employees came off as slightly rude. I don't know if she was trying to be she was asking me what I paid on groupon for the pedicure. I got both the pedicure and haircut deal for $15.13 after a $20 off promotion code so I didn't remember what the pedicure originally cost and it didn't say what it was when I went to redeem the groupon. So I felt like we were on the way to getting into a mini altercation over what I paid on groupon. After I got past that I picked my color and sat in the pedi chair. They did the pedicure pretty quickly which I appreciate and I gave the lady a $5 tip because I got such a good deal I figured I'd overtip a little. The lady who asked me what I paid on groupon said if I came back they'd give me a pedi/mani combo for $20. I don't know how they can operate so cheaply and still survive keeping the beauty spa but I don't know if I should know something like that. I might be back I didn't mind the pedicure job they did. For a Sunday no one else was in the salon but me when I went but maybe they are busier during the week or on Saturdays I don't know.
