I was here shipping a package for the first time December 2 and I was immediately greeted by a kind young man, Nicolas G (after later asking his name), distinguishable by his CalPoly lanyard. He was so fast and kind to help me choose a box and explained to me the different shipping speeds and values and recommended that I choose "express saver" based on the value that it comes with a free box and it would be cheaper than shipping "fedex ground" factoring in the cost of the box I had to purchase. We then immediately bonded after I told him that I was a flight attendant for an airline, and he told me that he is an aspiring pilot and has his basic license, and hopes to go to flight school full time after his time at CalPoly SLO. He was so passionate about aviation and he said his job with FedEx before he transferred was working on the ramp in Sacramento for FedEx, unloading and loading their cargo aircraft and that he missed that job more than anything. After a great conversation, he nicely packed my items, and I think he even put some bubble wrap in there even though I'm pretty sure you have to pay for that! I wish him luck! I then asked a question about some packages that were getting delivered to my address, but not in my name. He wasn't sure about the answer, so he quickly summoned another young lady, Elena, who was absolutely helpful in answering my questions. She was so kind and helpful in explaining what was happening and promised to resolve the issue with the delivery driver. So far, no more mysterious packages have been delivered to my house! I am so so pleased with the service here. Everybody is so kind, and I will be coming here again and recommending this business to my friends, family, and coworkers. I have not seen this level of customer service, friendliness, knowledge, or professionalism anywhere else! read more

It was a sofa and it was the wrong size and FedEx came to pick it up one time, but it was too early in the morning and no one was home to let them in so they diligently came back and got the sofa. read more

Deliver as promised. After 9 days of waiting for my next day delivery, with the promise it would be delivered by 8 pm, I drove to a dispatch center and got my package. Support was no help, until I got someone from management. Finally found out it had the wrong zip code and instead of checking my account which had the correct code and my phone number. It was shipped up and down the coast with nobody stopping it to correct the problem. It contained my wallet, that I lost at the San Francisco airport. FEDX charged me $50 for their service and I'm now having trouble getting my account closed. I suffered a lot stress and waisted many days waiting for the delivery that never happened. read more

I paid for over night shipping and let me just say when I went to see where my package was at they didn't know they couldn't contact the driver there was an excuse for everything in the book my package was to be at my home by 10:00am but the changed to 2-4 which I wasn't too concerned since I needed it by 5 long story short the item never arrived till 5:30 which at this point did nothing for me when the package got to my home it was open from the side and due to the the item was damaged it has a big black mark on the items from that seems like a conveyer belt so disappointed especially with the handling of packages and very upset with the manager Angie on how she handled the conversation. moving forward will not be using fed ex express any time especially after the amount i paid to get the item here only for them to damage it regardless if it arrived on time it would of been useless read more

Wow, look at all these bad reviews. I have the same problem. They took a picture of the package I was expecting and it was clearly on someone else's porch. They sent me the photo as evidence that it was delivered at my house but I don't have Saltillo tiles on my porch. Someone from Fed Ex ostensibly reached out to me but they've ghosted me ever since. No follow up, not contact, I can't reach anyone, I can't find anyone. Now I have to pay twice for the same items. read more

This is the best place I could find to leave this review for FedEx as my packages came through Santa Maria and was "delivered" by a driver from Santa Maria, who was careless and in too much of a rush to make sure that my packages were properly delivered to the right house. This is a fairly common occurrence where I live because drivers are lazy and rushing to get home. Why do a job right when you can get home fifteen seconds early, right? My packages, as per the photo the lazy, rushed, careless driver took ... Were obviously not at my house as the front porch was entirely different than mine, and their own photo proves it was misdelivered. Come to my house, FedEx, take a look around and tell me where certain features are in your photo and don't match anything about my house, I dare you! I see you keep trying to tell me that my package was delivered ... but the proof that you, yourselves provided, is proof that my packages were NOT delivered. Funny how you keep asking me if I know what my own house looks like. I'd give fewer stars if I could. This happens pretty regularly because FedEx hires drivers that just don't care about doing their jobs. Do not trust them with shipping pets. Absolute worst experience I've ever had, in any capacity. Their guarantees mean sh** and they just send you in a loop if you call. It's in their best interest of your animal dies because then they tell you "that isn't our fault, take it up with the seller." I paid extra for overnight and they held it a day and a half over and claimed it was high priority and how sorry they were. I watched the live updates of the driver going past me 4 times, with 4 opportunities to stop and nothing. When I asked them to just have the driver take it back to the hub and I'll go get it she told me to fill out a form and someone would get back to me within 48 hours.... A live animal... So when I got upset they hung up on me and my snake was held hostage. When the driver finally came she tossed the box and walked away and laughed when I started yelling and said call the 800 number. I had to wait at my house all day for the Fed Ex delivery out of Santa Maria because I had to sign for it. In the afternoon I received an email saying I was not home when they attempted delivery and they would make another attempt the following day. They lied! I was home all day sitting near the front door, and I have a RING camera that would have detected the arrival and recorded any door bell ring, and there was no missed delivery tag on the door. I had to waste another day sitting around the house the following day, and when the driver arrived he confirmed there was no attempted delivery the previous day. Fed ex obviously failed to put the package on the truck the first day and then pretended the failed delivery was my fault. It is very aggravating wasting 2 days waiting around for a delivery! If you read the rest of the reviews on Yelp regarding FedEx you would soon wonder why anyone would ever ship FedEx. If I have a choice of businesses to buy from I will always choose the one that DOES NOT ship Fedex. Typical with other reviews here, I was promised a package on a particular day after it sat at the Santa Maria facility for 2 days and it never arrived the day it was promised. I called FedEx and spoke with a nice person who was no help at all. She couldn't give me the number for the local facility, she couldn't even give me any information so I could file a complaint! She did, however, PROMISE delivery the very next day. Wait, it was promised for today and that turned out to be false, why should I trust it will be here tomorrow? I asked if I could retrieve the package at the local facility and, of course, the answer was no. Stuff happens and things don't always turn out like we hope but a responsible company will respond and be accountable. This description does not cover FedEx business practices. This crappy service happens to me at my home and happened with my business as well. FedEx Ground routes are owned by private contractors and if they don't feel like delivering your package because they don't have any other drops on your street or it just got too damn late and they want to get home for a beer you are flat out of luck. There are apparently no repercussions for the contractor from FedEx because the same thing keeps happening. There must be a reason the world's largest online retailer ships UPS and I suspect it's because their customers get their packages on time with no drama. Please, online retailers, DON'T ship with FedEx if you want your customers to get their packages when YOU promise them. read more

Terrible service! With the many mishaps these lazy incompetent drivers have had...leaving boxes on a dirt road not even close to our address...the kid that delivers to our work is the most rude, unprofessional lil chump you will ever run across. Shows up with his hat on backwards, does not greet you, signs for you with out saying anything, just a classless lil jerk...like Manu of the drivers from this locations delivery spot. Wish we would get a new driver...hopefully with some sort of professionalism and integrity. So just to get this review straight....have had issues both at work in Paso Robles and at home outside of Paso... almost everytime there is an issue. Don't Use Fed Ex. Worst delivery service of all. Always having problems delivering my payroll checks. I had to pick up my checks at 3070 Skyway Dr to the local Fed Ex office in Santa Maria on several occasions. The drivers are blind or can't read addresses because I see them knocking other doors instead of the correct address door. I have changed my delivery service to UPS. Fed Ex delivered a package on Jan 17, 2023. However the package was not addressed to me, it was for a neighbor a block away on a different street. I called the Customer Service number & gave them the package & my info. I was told a driver would call me to pick up the package. 3 calls later, still no one came to get the package. FED UP WITH FEDEX We are right now on our way to Santa Maria FedEx from Morro Bay (a long drive) to pick up an insured delivery that was scheduled to arrive at our home YESTERDAY. Waiting on my tools for work to arrive. I got a notification that they were delivered. They weren't here. So I checked the tracking info. They were dropped off at an address (unknown to me) in Grover Beach. ( My address in Nipomo was on record as the address to deliver to) I called the 800 number (since you can't get ahold of anyone locally) and was told that they were going to send someone to retrieve my package and would contact me within an hour. So I called them to let them know that I couldn't be at home at the time they delivered and if they could possibly schedule a delivery very specifically for a time I'd be available to come. The representative said, sure, they can do that. On Thursday, I drive home to see that they left one more door tag, stating that they attempted delivery... at an hour before I told them they should be there. So I called again, and they said, whoops, sorry, the driver must not have gotten the message. So I asked if they could delay the delivery until Saturday, when I wouldn't have work so I could be home to get it. No problem, they said. On Friday, I get another door tag saying, they attempted a final delivery and provide no further information. I call FedEx that night and ask them, are they ABSOLUTELY SURE THEY WILL DELIVER ON SATURDAY? The lady said yes, it will be delivered on Saturday. So today, Saturday, I spent the whole day at home like I'm on house arrest. I call them early in the morning and see if i can get a delivery window so i know when to expect it. Between 9:00 and 2:00 p.m., they said. Ok, so I waited. Now it's 3 p.m. and I called one more time and this time, they said "Well, I don't know if it was actually put on the truck for delivery. Also, the shipping center is closed now, so I don't know what's going on. You could try letting them deliver again on Monday..." So basically, their customer service is a joke. They Always say they 'added a note' to our account specifying instructions that are Permanent, yet they never follow those notes and claim the notes aren't there! Wow! Fedex drivers have ONE job: deliver packages. Yet they can't even do that right. Our office is on a busy street with no parking, and even though UPS and OnTrac have no problems delivering packages to us, the Fedex driver assigned to our route can't be bothered to get out of his truck and bring the package to the door. Instead, he just checks the "attempted delivery" box and keeps on driving. Use UPS. Use OnTrac. Use the freaking Post Office if you have to. Fed Ex Ground has never surpised me. They NEVER deliver when they say they will. They don't send updates, you have to go on their site at 5:15 to see the notice that the delivery has been rescheduled for tomorrow. Most of the time, it's no big deal. But for some odd reason, I was really counting on them today to deliver. When they, of course did not, I called. They promised me a call back no later than 2 hours. Nope! I called 2 1/2 hours later, and the escalated department person could not have been ruder. She refused to give me anything better than a 10 hour delivery window for tomorrow. She didn't care that I am flying out tomorrow night and REALLY needed this package to take with me. She mentioned happily that this low level of Fed Ex service ground doesn't come with any windows or guarantees. Told me that my package ended up on the wrong truck, which is why I didn't get it. But, from the numerous screw ups in the past, I know, from the drivers mouth, that we are at the end of the route. And if it hits 5pm, they head back to Santa Maria (hub) regardless of how many packages remain on the truck. No overtime allowed. I, of course, will NEVER ship anything Fed Ex, just wish people I buy from would allow me the option of not using them. FAIL. TOTAL FAIL. read more

Not very helpful. I called the 800 number this morning to have a package (a picture) held since it was raining this morning. There was no problem doing that. I forgot to ask where to pick it up. I just went to the location I know. It happened to be the Express location. However, when I got there and they looked up the tracking number, the guy said it was FedEx Ground and they were Express. I would have to go to a different location to pick up my package, but he wouldn't tell me where. He said he didn't know where it was being held and to try the one closest to this office. If it wasn't there, I would have to try a different location. USELESS employee. When I left, I called the 800 number again and they were able to tell me where to oick up my package. I ordered merchandise from Walmarts web site for the past 2 months. The first time I ordered, it was shipped with UPS ground, and it arrived in 2 days, just as advertised This month we purchased a similar order and and this time Walmart used FedEx for the 2 day delivery. On the day it was supposed to arrive, I received a call from the FedEx delivery driver asking me to meet him in town because he tells me that his delivery truck can not take the heat, because it was a day with temperatures in the 80's. I ordered some shirts online and used my P.O. Box for the delivery address. Fed Ex has now called me 7 times to get my physical address. 7 times I have given it to them. The most incompetent idiots I have ever dealt with. On a different note why would a company not tell you to not use a P.O.Box when ordering if they use Fed Ex for their delivery. Terrible experience with carriers. They are not willing to deliver packages at a particular location in our facility as requested. Instead, they just leave large or bulk packages in our lobby where they impeded access and jeopardizes the safety of our elderly and handicap residents, employees and the public.
