Even though it is the only UPS store in Lompoc, I personally think it's one of the best UPS stores around. Mainly because I have never had to wait in line, especially around lunch time when the line in other UPS stores, like the one in Santa Maria, have a line out the door. I mostly use this store for Amazon returns, and it usually takes all of 10 seconds to complete my return. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I've only ever had one issue with a return, and they made sure to get it fixed in a timely manner. They have mailboxes for rent, a copy machine, holiday cards for purchase, notary and many other services available at a cost. read more

Even though this is the only UPS store in town, I would willingly choose this location for services. The people working here are all knowledgeable about the services this store provides. There's hardly ever lines, even at lunch hour. The few times I've experienced a couple people in front of me, the line moved so quick there couldn't be any complaints. The UPS Store - Entrance - Shipping Centers Near Me - Lompoc, California

We now get our mail and packages through this UPS location, since we are traveling. The price for a yearly mailbox is about the same as the Post Office, only the people working here are FRIENDLY, COMPETENT, and HELPFUL!! We are able to get our packages and mail forwarded without worry, and if we've had any issues with anything they are quick to figure out what the problem is and resolve it. It's also so helpful that we can do Amazon returns here, fax, print, etc. It's so nice to have a friendly hello when you walk in, and a business that appreciates us as customers. An added bonus is they are open on both Saturday and Sunday! It's such a difference when compared to the post office and especially the other mail business who treats you like an idiot and an inconvenience. Honestly they should have 10+/5 stars. read more

For the past year I have been bringing my ship out orders here at least once a week. I have to say it has been nothing but a very easy and pleasant experience. I am always in an out less than 2 minutes and the staff is really nice. I especially want to give a good review for the young man named Tyrone. I called the phone number provided on the website and the automated recording said that they notarized documents until 5:00pm with no appointment. I met my husband at the UPS store after driving 30+ minutes to get to the store. A man at the counter very rudely snapped at me and said stand behind the sign!!!! Which was very far from the counter.....After I waited awhile the same rude tall man informed me that the notary is leaving at 4:30!!! & that she had 3 people in front of me and is not doing anymore today!!! I then said that there Phone information says you do notarize until 5:00pm? He then replied "to bad!" Highly recommend going to the Box Shop. read more

I have never written a review I'm my life but I'm this case If I could leave a 0 star I would! The manager of this place Gregory M. Is the rudest person I have ever meet. Not only is he the worst manager a store can have but as a franchise store customer service should be the best. He was rude and dismisses. I went in with 8 boxes to ship they would have made over $2000 with me and he lost my business. I will never go to this store again! Stay away from this ups visit The Box Shop where the owner is the nicest man ever and willing to help me as soon as I walked in no questions asked. Take my advice and do not visit this UPS store. So I went in to the store Thursday. Tyrone assisted me once I was in there, I requested to use the scale briefly to make sure my packages were in order in terms of weight. Then I got directed to another fella (taller Caucasian man) who wasn't treating me the same way. Stated that I needed to get my own scales if I was planning on doing this " " and that he could charge me if I wanted him to for using his scales and holding up the other customers. I had over night labels and just got my packages on the third business day. My packages appear to be in not the best shape over everything like someone went through my packages and or launched them around. Was going to make a review soon as I left the store but I felt bad for buddy, but just now getting these in there current condition made me hop back on. read more

I ordered an item from an online retailer for pickup at Lompoc UPS store. It showed up broken. Retailer customer service shipped out a replacement right away. Yay! Item sent to Lompoc UPS store again for pick up but got lost for over a month. I did not receive notice that it was shipped nor that it had arrived. After about 3 weeks I went to Lompoc UPS store to ask if it was there and they couldn't find it and said that it had been sent back to the shipper after being there for a week. A week later I received a call from Lompoc UPS store asking if I was going to pick it up and that it had been there for a very long time and were about to ship it back! GGRRRR!!! When I went down there they wanted to charge me $5 for "hold for pick up"! They didn't ask for $5 the first time when it arrived broken; why now did they feel the need to charge me? Additionally, they have VERY narrow open hours which makes it extremely difficult to get there to pick things up. I'm switching to Michael's for UPS pick up...it's closer, better hours and no hassle. read more

Received Notary service. Unlike the local bank no appointment required and virtually no waiting! Only $10 per signature. However, you must arrive before 5 pm on weekdays if need anything notarized. Fast and efficient service! Totally friendly bunch and extremely helpful too! Never had a bad experience at any UPS Store I've visited. These guys and gals are the bee's knees! read more

I've shipped samples in sealed 5-gallon buckets from numerous Central Coast UPS stores and never had a problem. At this particular store, the manager or store owner turned me away and rudely said he would not ship my sample in a bucket from "his" store without a box. How is putting soil in a box better than a sealed 5-gallon bucket? So I went to the UPS store off Clark Avenue in Santa Maria and he was happy to assist me. I ship from this UPS Store regularly. I shipped four packages this past two weeks. I find that UPS Ground prices are much cheaper than Postal Services prices and they are more reliable. Staff here are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I've had them pack thinks for me as well and the recipient said it was packed amazingly well. They provide a military and AAA discount as well. I trust Carol and her staff and I'd definitely recommend this store. read more

I had to ship back to Amazon a pair of shoes I ordered that didn't fit. I was in and out of this store in 90 seconds and was given a package drop off receipt. This was at 3:07pm. Five hours later, I get an email from Amazon stating that my returned item is on its way back and that my gift card balance has already been credited. So quickly?? Yay me!!! There's another ups store by where I work and I did almost the same exact thing there a couple of weeks ago and I was only given a tracking number on a paper that was more of an advertisement than this one I just got was. And it took days for me to get my refund, not hours. Whatever they did at this Lompoc location, they just need to keep on trucking, happy girl I am. If I had to do this all over, I'd never go to this store. If there was something that I could say to warn people about how bad it is, I would say that you should never contradict the employees. They are defensive, rude, and will lie to you if you question what they are doing. Because I was confused about how much it cost to box up a couple items, and because I did not know how much it would be to ship these items, I ended up spending over $36 to mail a computer keyboard and a cell phone. Why go into a store that rips people off, has employees that are nasty and negative, and leaves the customer feeling worse off than before they go in? Just listen to me. You don't want to go here. I rarely ever post 1 star reviews, check my profile. This 1 star review is the least I could do. The scam this place runs is that they charge you an arm and a leg for packaging and THEN they weigh it out. This puts the customer into a trap. Called for information about getting Live Scan service for both FBI and DOJ. I've known of people with errors on their record and I don't want any nasty surprises like what those people got when they needed the approval and had to scramble to clear their records because of the error. After answering a few initial questions, the woman on the phone gave me the kiss off about how she had to run as if they make no money off of providing this service at their location. I've needed a few documents notarized recently and would have been interested in using them, but I can't figure out why she was so rude when looking for a place to drop $90 for two scans. read more

I went in to return a.package left on my door step and the person at the counter very rudely asked if I tried opening the.package .... this package was left on my porch the person who delivered it from ups didn't knock or anything. Who knows what could have happened or how long the package was even on my porch anyone can walk up to my door..... I wasted yhe gas on my car to return this package and felt it very disrespectful when asked if I tried.opening it... the corner was open a little could of been damaged transit or could have been tampered with by someone walking by my house being as how ups doesn't know how to knock pn a door when delivering a package. read more

The staff and owner (Carol) are knowledgeable, friendly and always avail. to help. The location is prime... Just on the outside of a busy hub. Absolute worst, the last ignored me initially, once it was discovered that ups screwed up the delivery she immediately pushed me off to a 800 number which was just as useless as the attendant. When I tried to gather more info on where my package was the attended went back to ignoring me and resumed being useless. Ups as a shipper is horrible as they are unable to keep track of their packages and deliver on their service and their attendants follow suit with their incompetency. FedEx is a far superior shipper and better customer service. I understand accidents happen however customer service should be a top priority and good customer service could go a very long way. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would but that wasn't an option; anyway, I used to love to come in here on my way home from work, normally with 30-40 minutes to spare before they close and on the weekends, but NOT ANYMORE! The lady who works there with the long blond hair, I think her name is Lynn, is so.o.o.o. RUDE and she doesnt hide the fact that she wants to leave on time at 6. Normally when I come in to mail a package, or to pick up some supplies or stamps or get copies, I have at least 40-45 minutes and am not a last minute, driving on 2 wheels to make sure the door is still open type of person, so this behavior is startling to me! Anyway, 2 weeks ago, I was in line behind a lady who was trying to send something and didn't quite have the right zip code handy and had to look something up in her purse, and this cashier said very rudely; "well you'll have to wait now because I have to wait on these other people!. She wasn't kind at all or helpful either. Then tonite, I stopped in again to drop a package, mail a couple of envelopes and make a copy, only to find that the copy machine wouldn't work. So I tried a second time thinking I might have pressed the wrong thing the first time, and then I said to the long blond haired lady; "this doesn't seem to be working, and she said very rudely; "well that's because I took the paper out of it, because we're getting ready to close. I realized that she was upset, so I said hurriedly; "You know, I don't really need to do this today, I can come back." and she rudely said, "well, I'm here now!" So she added the paper and I clicked start and unfortunately, my two attempts to make the first copy came shooting out! I took them to the counter and explained that I only needed the one coopy and didn't mean to make the second, and she rudely said; "well, the owner still has to pay for the paper!" meaning that I was going to pay for the second copy, even tho she admitted to having removed the paper prior to my getting there!!! It wasn't the money at all! Only 22 cents, but being treated like something foul that was stuck to the bottom of her shoe was really demeaning! Then to add insult to injury, as I was leaving, she had the nerve to wish me a good day! Needless to say, I will be going over to the Box shop up the road a bit from now on unless I have something that is specifically UPS related! read more

I don't get the bad reviews? Maybe they should use Swanky As^kiss shipping company? I uploaded some pages to be printed from my laptop at home, 9 11x17 black and whites for ~$1.80 total! Thank you UPS, I don't need a printer for anything anymore and good riddance. I had to wait because the person in front of me was getting the full attention of the one person in the store on a Saturday afternoon but what, I should complain about that? Other UPS stores I've used have been great, very efficient. I could drop off an Amazon return with the paperwork and they would tape it all shut for me and tape on the labels, never had a problem... You could throw your return box and papers through the front door and it probably would get where it's going... read more

I recently used their online printing service to order two-sided color copies that I could pick up in my local store. I was promised that it would be ready that afternoon at 4 pm. I took a chance on stopping by two hours early and they were done - and perfect! In/out in five minutes. The website was easier to use than the office supply store one I had used previously. This is my new store for online/pick up in store copies. The staff was very friendly, too! read more

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from but I have had nothing but great service over the past 3 years of going there. Even when dropping of my own prepaid shipments they are fast and very polite and have no problem giving me a receipt for a shipment they make no money on. They are busy sometimes but work very fast.
